I listen to this brilliant song over and over and over absolutely one of my favs !
I guess I'll continue to live/survive as long as Greg Dulli keep writing stuff like this. Brilliant melody....
this is one of the greateast songs ever written, the joy this brings to my life..
one of the best songs they have ever released, definitely my favorite on the new album
I'm astonished the Whigs could come up with a melody (and those lyrics ...) so brilliant. And then be all like, "Yeah, three minutes is all you're getting." Chutzpah.
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Love, love, love this!!!!!
God.... that's all. God.... I could play this song on a continuous loop and never be tired of it.
Brenna Gallagher McGann that's what I'm doing since half an hour and I can't stop.
Been there. Done that. Will do again. Simply amazing!
This song has been my earworm for about 5 days now. Can't get enough of it! Brilliant.
So far it's my favourite song from the album.
Man, the last 3 whigs albums are just incredible (DTTB, IS & HDYB?).. Dulli’s songwriting is just getting better & better.. he can do no wrong 👌
1965 is still amazing, as well
This hurts me but God I love it.
whoever plays the trumpet is amazing. such a stunning tack
it's really solid orchestration, and interesting sounds through the whole album.
So long as we can breathe and ears can hear, so long lives this (song) and this gives life to ROCK ! Thanks again Greg and band.
This is the one!
Masterpiece.
... love it - my favorite album song...
Magnifique!
White light
Conceit
If I saw what you say that you see in me
Allez
My love
Too late
My lie
Had been cast to the dark side of
Do or die
Allez
My love
My dear
My love
My tears
Too soon
Too late
Complete
And from way down deep inside
Like a wave I had crashed on the
Reason I
Was there
My love
My dear
My love
My tears
Come see
Tell me, is this real?
Everything I feel?
Tell me this is real
Sono tornati alla grande!
Amazing!!!
Tell me, is this real?
Everything I feel?
Yes it was always gonna be just as special as all there lpsthanx
Allez, my love.
Great record.
I love you Stephanie
Digging this shit!

Rock soul
Allez my love yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah !
Say a prayer
Okay I'll be the voice of dissent here. Both this and the last record are so far beneath the Gentleman-Black Love-1965 era it's not even funny. Neither record is a grand cohesive entity as those three masterpieces were. I don't know if the other comments on here are from newbies who were in height chairs in 1995 or if they're from memory loss patients but without Rick McCollum's fierce chopping guitars backing Dulli up this might has well be a Twilight Singers album. Good songs? Sure, they're good. But they're not great. And it's only Afghan Whigs as long as Dulli chooses to operate under that moniker. I miss you Rick McCollum. And I still miss the BAND that absolutely slayed between 1993 and 1998.
Mmmm... yeah, you got a point. Specially when you talk about McCollum's raw guitar interventions, which sadly are now part of the past. Indeed, these two last albums feel like an extension of Dulli's work with Twiligth Singers, it's like he chose the Afghan Whigs label only for commercial purposes haha, but still, they are one of my favorites bands ever, I got nothing to critize to them. These last two albums contain a lot of quality, and a bunch of incredible songs, that's enough for me.
I don’t think any music will eclipse the Gentlemen/Black Love/1965 stretch, but I still think this track is brilliant.
Like most all of his stuff with whichever Whigs iteration, I thought it meh, then revisited 6months later to find his poetry and melodies open my eyes to the light that he haunts me with... again.
