This show was well worth pushing through my traffic anxiety and ptsd around cars! So many happy(and sad?) tears were shed and it's a memory I'll keep with me in dark times. Also, shout out to the other phenomenal fans that were surrounding us(at the theater/walk back to our cars/at the hotel) that were fun and easy to talk to, dance, and joke with! They also helped make the experience amazing! Curt's little mishap on Saturday afternoon was amazing and still brings me joy thinking about(sorry Curt, you're great and handled it like a pro-- it gives me hope for if I mess up my solo in 2 weeks, that everything will be just fine and it won't take away from the performance) And run-on rambling sentences be darned, but wearing the VHS merch makes me feel cute. Don't be fooled, I'm not, but the merch is!

@MerediddyS It was terrible and terrifying, unfortunately. We probably would have taken a train or bus down (from WI), but my husband vetoed that. I think he felt more comfortable and in control by being able to drive himself. Would do it again for another show of yours in a heartbeat, though.

i saw you guys sunday afternoon, and it was one of the most magical experiences of my life. ive been a huge fan for years, and i still can't believe it all
I was at that show too! And had the EXACT same experience. First thing that came to my mind when it finished was, “Fuckin’ transcendent!” I was in complete awe of how tight the dancing and singing performances were, how gorgeous everyone sounded in person, and how all-around professional the direction and everything else about this show looked. The new Act I was amazing, and even though I’d already seen the first version of Act II a few times, I was BLOWN AWAY by how much they added and improved. You can tell they put in a TON of work to make it something truly special for the audience and all their fans. AJ as Scrooge was truly a REVELATION-I didn’t think he could possibly outdo Darren, but he absolutely KILLED it, imo. And to think I almost didn’t make it because I had 2 tickets and two different people backed out on me, but luckily my other friend came through last-minute and drove us to Chicago (and endured the awful traffic so that I didn’t have to). He’s never seen anything from Starkid before, and I could tell he was super impressed. I’m so glad I didn’t skip out on this… I would have regretted it for the rest of my life. I plan to buy the digital ticket because I’m hoping to show it to my family! I truly can’t wait to see it again!

Braved that awful Chicago traffic to see the show Saturday afternoon. First Starkid show (not counting an excellent Firebringer production in Milwaukee last month) and was better than we could have imagined. Loving watching this blog, catching the behind the scenes, and remembering where I sat in the rehearsal shots. Happy birthday Luna (and AJ too I guess)!
