I drove the 2011 jetta and honestly loved the handling, so I imagine this one is even better
My favourite thing about this car is that it uses a DSG gearbox instead of a CVT gearbox.
I still fail to see why this car needs to exist. After all, VW has earned an enviable reputation in America for their TDI clean diesels which can approach (and on highways, exceed) the MPGs vs. a hybrid car. VW's aren't the champions of reliability, but the TDI powertrain has been proven & a strong runner in the MPG wars.
If I'm dead-set on a hybrid, I would go with a Toyota simply because I won't be worried to death each time I turn the key praying the CEL isn't on in the VW. Hybrids aren't exactly simple but Toyota has been doing their drivetrain for awhile.

That's not really a rev counter but more of an energy meter.
I just bought one literally yesterday and it wont engage the electric motor, the AC doesnt work and the windows wont roll up or down if trying to move two at the same time. The dealer was a crook and now im out of 7k...

the rpm-engine speed gauge is a mess. why are there numbers on there going from 2-10? wtf is 10k redline?? VW is good at making transmissions, but not hybrid rpm gauges.
