The gates were smashed twice. The first time, I arrived at the train shelter (up side) and a small passenger train DMU went through the gates. Second time I was standing where the parked car was at 4.12 and looking up at no activity in the box but could hear the train getting closer! Signalman divided to the floor! A train at full speed went straight through and the gates ended up in the field. During the night work repairing the damage and level crossing, a reversing train killed one of the workforce.
I hope that you can get up to North Wales and Aberystwyth next year to film the remaining crossings. There was an open crossing in between Tywyn and Fairbourne too. If your in need of a map of crossings you can ask me and I can give you some helpful websites instead of the ABC guide
