I think Qd5+ at 21:00 is way more interesting than it first appears, you're right that Nc3 is the follow up but I was looking at variations of cxd4 to threaten the pinned Knight. I started looking at Bxc6+ bxc6 Nxd4, and now I'm tired and ready for bed but I think I may try to throw it in an engine when I wake up.
And of course playing against a 778 it's a dangerous line they might not defend perfectly!
@@ABronyNamedBurnie It's a good idea. I think white defends with advantage if he plays Bc3 instead of Nc3. Then there is no time for your idea of cxd4 - which I agree would have been a strong move against Nc3.
Well, I was relaxed until that last game, but it was worth it! I can sleep later. :)

I don't play my best when I'm recording and doing ASMR. I'm mostly focused on being relaxed and relaxing the viewers.

I have not really been keeping track of subscriber numbers and things like that, but based on view counts on recent videos it seems like your channel is steadaly growing, right?

yes the channel has gone from 16k to almost 34k subs in 3 months. My plan is to keep posting consistently at least throughout 2021 to see how big the channel can get. As you know my dream is to do ASMR Chess full time, and it looks like it could be possible if the stars align. Still a long way to go though.

Hey lately you recommended me to play cicilian defense dragon version and it works really well! But i still suck playing as white not knowing what opening i should do. I was thinking about the queens gambit tho.

Good evening. How is the weather in Denmark? Do you live anywhere near Helsingør? I've always wanted to visit that place. Anyway, the French whisperer suggested your channel, and I've watched almost all of your videos. Very relaxing. I've been fascinated by chess most of my life, although I don't play very much anymore, and Truth to tell I'm not very good at it.
A while back you asked for suggestions, so I have some:
1. History of the pieces. How did the pieces change over time and come to have the standard shapes we recognize today?
2. I'll bet you have some really great boards in your collection. Perhaps you could do a video showing off your favorite chess sets.
3. History of computer chess. From what I understand, the ability of computers to play chess has increased significantly over the years ( Deep Blue, etc.)
4. When I was young, every store bought chess board I played on had a backgammon on the opposite side. Do you also play backgammon? I didn't learn that game until college, but it is one of my favorite board games these days.
Hope these suggestions are helpful, and I hope you continue posting many more relaxing videos for us to enjoy!
At 1:27:58 I might have played knight takes E4, because if they take back the knight with the pawn, then you have mate in 2 with bishop to C5 check, I believe the only move for black is queen to D7, and then queen takes A8 is mate because the queen is pinned. Just a little thought, idk they would fall for that though

Ahaha. Was analyzing so hard at 15:34 White's turn. I thought it was too greedy to eat the pawns and not try something else.
I was analyzing using the knight, and ended up with:
N d5. Black could run for queen, but exchanging pieces is only choice by R d8.
Thinking hard here but left R f7+ keeps the tempo.
Black can only go K e8. Then simply checkmate from N f6.
THEN I realized... Why not just left R f 7 in the first place. Checkmate right there :)

20:45 - couldn't you just have played Qa5 Check, taking the Bishop on b5 after?
white would block the check with nc3 and defend the bishop
