100% Mars. Totally agree. That is one beautiful machine. One of the nicest I’ve seen. Well cared for. You did right. Now enjoy. Feel great about it. Best to you.
Cost me $1400 to do the 32k service. Top to bottom inspection besides a bunch of other things. Not cheap. But motorcycle ownership is expensive across the board. I’m thinking about selling mine to downsize to a smaller bike.
I'm trying to decide what to do with mine, if I should keep it or sell it for a newer model. If the new ST 1300 comes into the dealership. I will buy it.
@@mars4508 i do all my maintenance. i have to. i own three motorcycles. youtube helps a lot. changed my brake caliper seals this year. that was no fun. but saved a lot of money
She's af beautiful machine. Only thing I've ever had to do with a Gold Wing is the engine. Have a 06 GL1800 in my 43 Willy's MB.lol It doubled the horsepower and torque plus I have 36 gears. But what I like is the reliability. She's never filled even on the worst of trails. And the Flathead is the smoothest running engine I've ever had. Been driving since 1964. Of course it's also a Honda. Which I have many of. Like the 250R ATC with a vfr 750 The 4x4 trophy Kart has a CBR 600rr.......
@Ozarkprepper643 the ECM went bad on me when I was almost 100 miles from home. It ran smoothly until I got home. I'm was very glad the bike made it home
Wooow,,,,$700 US can get you a ruff tire changer,,,,so you never have to rely on others saving $$$ going forward,,,,,$250 gets you a cardo unit for your helmet,,,,then you can listen to music, phone or other like you are in your living room with a high quality stereo beside you. Learning and getting neighbor help if needed will save you many $$$....I havent used my speakers since I bought a cardo,,,,,.Jmo.
I started riding in 1973 and still ride today. Motorcycles traditionally, are not popular in my country. Too, everything motorcycle, is very expensive. Trinidad & Tobago. West Indies.

Thanks, kind sir.
Glad you got Her Back! It eats at me when it was something simple but you had to pay the high price to get it solved out.
Thank you, it's just that I live too far from any dealership. That's the main problem.
Glad She's back up and Runnin ! Now it's time to Ride Brother ! Winter is Coming !! Bless

holy shit look at all those buttons. I may have to consider retiring my road king and getting a Honda!
They do a lot of the same thing
Love your Honda! I admit yellow is my favorite color!
It is Very Nice!

Nothing is cheap about motorcycles ownership. I believe most of us know this going in.
Boy, you're right. Maintaining is the biggest cost.

Depends on the bike. Goldwings are expensive. I have an old Honda and it's very economical

I really won't use the radio very much. But I had to fix it, or it would've drove me crazy. I have a sena s10 on my helmet.
Thank you.
Every time i see your bike, i think maybe i should try one out. Can hardly push my fjr1300 around. the goldwing s weight worries me a bit
@aguiristante I worried about that same thing every time I get on the bike.
Reverse helps. The other option is going to a trike.
@@toanogreen excellent points.
$500 for a valve stem and a loose wire?
Yes, it's the shop rate that gets you.
$165 a hour
I rode a '79 Leadwing ... this new stuff, you may as well drive a car.
My first goldwing was a 82 interstate.
But yes, the newer ones are really fun to ride.
Have a great day, thanks

Keep riding your Honda. Drink a shiner and ride your honda. Then laugh at the yahoos drinking bud light and riding Harleys. BIG SMILE
