Kilchurn Castle & St Conan's Kirk. Scotland. 31.05.24 no. 347

After overnighting at Kilchurn Castle car park, we take the short walk to Kilchurn Castle itself. A lovely sunny but hazy morning.
We then drive not far along the road to St. Conan's Kirk. A very quirky kirk, made up of bits of other kirks and even an old ship! Both situated along Loch Awe.

Amazing church that one. Blimey, bits of everything. Great photos too. Shame the castle was sealed off. Someone at Jedburgh Abbey told me last year that they have one team going round doing the repairs to Historic Environment Scotland places and it will take yonks!!
