I cannot get over how you took an almost irredeemable man and turned him into a misunderstood complex character! When I watched Sodor the Modern Years; Winds of Change I assumed he would just be that same character. But I'm glad to see that even Norman Spencer can get a chance! Also, now I get to wait till 2019 to see who this "Adeline" is and her role to play, but I am very excited! Overall, this was one of the best story arc's yet and I can't wait to see what else you got coming! Merry Christmas to you and everyone who reads this!
A great end to Norman Spencer's character arc. He learned to respect the engines and cooperate with them, and now all is right with the NWR and Package Express. Christmas can bring out the best in people. It was also cool seeing Eric be a hero of sorts.
And you do a great job with showcasing that with both Norman Spencer and Diesel. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a heart-to-heart offscreen sometime between the events of this mini series.
Welcome back WildNorWester! Don’t let anyone pressure you to make the final 7 episodes quickly, take your time. Don’t even make them if you don’t have it in you. Let your personal life take preference first.
Brilliant episode to conclude the North West Package Express Saga. Looks like Norman Spencer has now become friends with the Sudrian steam engines after all.
An amazing end to a very enjoyable story arc. I'll be honest, I really wasn't expecting Norman Spencer to change as much as he did, but it was pleasantly surprising! Seeing Peter and Eric in major roles is very nice to see too, especially given how the two are so easily shoved to the background. Gordon calling Spencer "Sir" really warmed my heart, especially since we might possibly see more of him later on!
This was a great way to end Couriers and Concerns Dan. This mini-series was great and gets a 10/10. Merry Christmas :). Can't wait for Adeline the Phantom Engine.
Man, the rewatchability of your work is so high. And to think that this is already 5 years old, it certainly doesn't feel that way. Only the models give away that this isn't your latest work, the storytelling is still just as good.
Loved this ending to the North West Package Express saga. For his actions in this story, Norman Spencer has proven himself to be likable. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, WildNorWester. :)
I can't believe it's been 2 years! I remember watching this when it premiered and loving it. 2 years later, I still have the same sort of feeling when I first watched it. Good job, per usual (despite it being 2 years later)!
huh, I was expecting that reckless driver from the second episode of the series to be the culprit, tip of the hat to ya for letting me throw myself into a loop.
Yes another ghost story is coming. You were always good with writing those. This miniseries was awesome my friend. Loved that you’re producing again. Merry Christmas and can’t wait to see the ghost story!!!!
And Sodor is at peace for Christmas!!! I will admit that I was wrong as I thought the thieves included the driver who got fired and Gordon would catch the thieves by crashing into the van at a crossing as a nod toward what happened to him with Norman Spencer in "Winds of Change." But I'm still impressed with this conclusion and the new model of Toby and Eric's new whistle and voice.
I see your models are slowly beginning a transformation into 3D faces. Given it's become quite the general norm among Trainz models these days I suspected it would eventually occur to yours too :) Though I for one still think the 2D faces still hold up pretty well. That aside, a nice finale to this mini series :) As said before, I'm glad it wasn't a predictable route of who the culprits were as it managed to give the case that much more mystery to it. Peter particularly stood out this episode. Up until now he was more or less a background character who was just lucky to get a few lines in in a few scenes. But here he gets both focus and a shine on his previously unseen sense of intelligence :)
We've already rocked the boat in this alternate universe by having Richard Hatt go off and do his own thing. Wouldn't it be something if Emily had to step down from her role, maybe go back to her old position, and the railway fell out of the Hatt Family's hands for the first time in over a century? Maybe have a scene with a dying Sir Stephen recanting what he said at the finale of the Early Years.
@@georgemiser Another theory to consider is: what if Emily Hatt and Norman Spencer were to end up married some day? Not to say the series should become a love-driven story, (or saying there's any romance between them, to which there isn't) but it would be an interesting way to turn Norman Spencer's character full circle, to become Controller someday but not in the original feared way in the STMY premiere. Then there's an idea to play on with him taking a non-traditional route of *him* taking Emily's surname instead of vice-versa, thus a Hatt would still technically be in charge of the railway. All things aside it would even give Emily Hatt a bigger role in the series, given she's slipped down from focus in the series
@@krthecarguy5150 A shame it didn't come out in 2019 though. Although to watch his videos, its well worth the wait. Whether it is a year, 5 or an entire decade!

A hero in his own way.
Indeed he was.
No. I voice acted in this episode. I'm not uploading to YT that much, that's all.
Thanks. I always had something like this in mind. That's why I kept pushing the 'misunderstood, not evil' thing on Twitter, etc.
And you do a great job with showcasing that with both Norman Spencer and Diesel. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a heart-to-heart offscreen sometime between the events of this mini series.

I can never get over how good the models for the engines are
Thank-you :-D. That means a lot.
Wish they were still available. But I understand why the website had to go down

Goly!!! Eric's voice here is a lot better than I thought !!!!

Great finish. Loved how the thieves were beaten! Also what a surprise regarding the Adeline the Phantom Engine Miniseries, did not expect it!
Cant remember how long it was since I recorded Peter's lines but it was worth it for the end product.
Thanks again for doing so, too. I had to take a bit of a break and get a few things in order.
You're a good voice for Peter. To be honest your voice is similar to that of Daniel Alsop's and at first I thought it was him
You do a fantastic job on Peter, giving him gentle and welcoming tone of voice.

I'd actually love to see Norman Spencer become The Fat Controller at some point now, for one reason or another. Especially with that bit at the end.
