    @16:00 u written 'h' as '5.6' that is wrong
    '6.5' is correct, then the answer should be "3.2238"

    A brass rod in the form of a fin 100 mm long and 5 mm in diameter extends
    horizontally from a casting which is at 2000C. The air temperature is 200C and
    provides a heat transfer coefficient of 30 W/m2
    -K. What is the heat transfer from the
    rod? Evaluate the temperature of the rod at 50 mm from the base and at the free tip.
    Now, if this fin is replaced by two identical fins of 50 mm length. All other parameters
    and dimensions remain the same. What is the heat transfer from this combination?
    Evaluate the temperature of the fin at the tip

    where as T(infinity) is the atmosphere temperature,answer plz..

    Hi, I have been studying heat transfer in fins and I have seen that sometimes they use m (to calculate efficiency or heat) as m= (h×P/K×Ac)^1/2 and sometimes as m= (2×h/K×t)^1/2)
    Could someone help me to understand when to use one or the other?
