Excellent video. I have lost my key, but did have a spare, so all good. To buy a fully programmed key/fob is $300-$380. So jumped on YT to see if I can get a "blank" and program it myself, well then a lot of money saved, hopefully, then came across your video, excellent, very well explained and shot. Thanks very much, Rick.

Hi Dr lock, I've bn converting my nissan elgrand to camper, I've came out tonight to start it and I've got nothing,red light is coming on on key fob, the key is not opening the door, it hadn't bn started in a couple of weeks,I've changed battery in the key fob etc etc, still nothing, I can't get in to it , prob a flat battery but I've always bn able to get into it, it is of the Road for now as am converting it,just looking if there's a work around,unfortunatly I live in the UK.lol.
use the emergency key in your remote to unlock the door, then replace your car battery
I have a question. I just have 1 key for me E51 and I want an additional one. I got a new fob from eBay. It is the newer style according to them the oval, newer style works for the E51 but after I got it I checked with several locksmith and they said i need the bkack, square, older style one. Who is right? Is it possible to program the newer, oval fob for an E51? What is the part number for the black, square remote?

Hi.. what would be the best and cheapest way to retrieve the 4 pin security code, as I have nissan data scan and can reprogram the a new key and fob to my elgrand e51, just not to sure how to get the pin.. I'm in Victoria so I can't bring it to you.. any help is much appreciated.. thank you..
Hi what tool is used to program the remote? I didn’t see it in the video as I have a 3 button remote and want to use a 4 button as I have 2 sliding doors.

so i have the key and it works but where i live its very dusty and hard for the key to comunicate with the ignition switch i have the remote i just need to reprogram it with the car i will try changing its battery as it blinks so it works but it might be it,s not comunicating with the car so either the battery in the remote is bad or the remote is not programmed with the car as the car sat without a battery for a few months
Try new battery in remote and car, Its should not need to reprogram, but I have heard other have the same problem, and reprogramming fix it
Never done one of these, was obviously too expensive! Do you use the MVP/M8 to do these? Would be interesting to see if my Autel MS908P would do these without ripping the module out!
Hi, I have never needed to remove the ecu, or any other for this car. OBD works, the biggest problem is Immo locked. I would like to see the Autel in action too, but sadly I dont own one. Still saving up tp try the Xtool have been told good thinks about it, but I feel it dose not have all the standard OBD fault finding and clearing that the Autel would have.. I wish I could test them all side by side same us all some money and time
Dr Lock Dr Lock sorry I meant the immobiliser module, a lot of the Toyota's we used to have to pull the immobiliser to reflash.
I've only got a couple of the Xtool products just the VVDI & X100, never tried the X100 on anything except G chip cars & to be honest I haven't needed to as I mostly use the Autel (Allfailtel) when the pile of junk wants to actually work!
Honestly, I would never buy another Autel product in my life as their Customer Service is among the worst I have ever seen. The piece of crap I have is not much more than a $5k paperweight!

Drlock u are left behind u can program that key without the car all u need is bcm and that's it
Thanks for the tip, can you send me a photo if you get a change of the chip, Im guessing you write the key to the chip in the BCM, I would love to know more, I have had a few customers that I could of helped if I had knowen

Hi thanks for the video. I have a strange one. The emergency key does not turn when I put it in the ignition. I have to remove the ignition switch and turn it with a screw driver it starts but I have to have the key in the ignition to read the transponder. If I use the key remote I can start the car up without putting anything in the ignition. Does that sound like its an ignition issue?
it could be the wrong cuts on the key, or some other issue, sorry I don't know
@@DrLockShop Thanks I just wanted to confirm with un programmed emergency key blade that it still turns in the ignition but doesnt start? Thanks
@@mitch1941 meybe its the remote making it turn, and the transponder thats making it not start..

Some Nissan remotes are locked, some are not.
