Thanks for the reply, yes, they are on the same group and channel, I even try to place them in different channel (for both off course) and gorup, you know, group A, then group B, ch 1, ch 2, etc... just hoping that it could be a problem there some how, but nothing. I did check at Godox website for any update for the Xpro-s, but the have updates for Xpro-C and Xpro-N, nothing for Xpro-s, at least I could not found.
Carlos Rosa if you have any other trigger from godox try to pair the flash with x1 or qt32 to see if the problem is with the flash or the trigger.

can't find an instruction video online on how to setup/use the V850 or V850II to shoot off camera flash.
I have a Godox 433MHZ transmitter & an XTR16S receiver.. the instructions supplied had no english translations. I know it should be/is is a simple set up but I just can't get them triggering ATM. Any help greatly appreciated
you need the x1 trigger or QT32 with a xtr16s for ving 850 , the 850II it has a built in receiver .

Hey Tihi, do happen to have the Xpro trigger just in case? I got the V850II and the Xpro-S trigger, but I can't make them work together. It works straight on the camera, but can't make work with the trigger.
Carlos Rosa hello, i do have both and are working together . Make sure they both are in the same group and channel .
Try also to update firmware on the xpro .
so, if I don't have the trigger, what are my possibilities to trigger this ? I suppose it has a simple optical slave mode at least. But could I use it with Nikon CLS ? If I set in my camera menu, say for example to use my D7000 built-in flash as commander mode and set Group A with Manual 1/64 in-camera not on the flash, will it understand the preflashes that command the power ?
unfortunately godox slave works with godox flashes only . you either need the QT32 or X1

hi one difference between this II version and the old one is that the II have an incorporate receiver? and if i have a X1 transmitter its not necessary an XTR16s?

Im having trouble connecting my dual v850ii to the trigger. I have the flash and the trigger set in the same channel and nothing. Could you help?
which trigger do you use ?
I have the godox xt1 for sony. Thank you for responding but after hours of looking on the net and fiddling around with it, I eventually figured it out. It had to do with a sub menu setting on the flash it's self that isn't covered in the manual nore in any youtube setup videos.

What is the difference in the recycle time between the v850ii and the tt685?
that's the thing , i can say that the Lithium battery powered flash is twice as fast as the tt685 , at least at full power .
Wow that much? I haven't found any videos or info comparing the two so that is very interesting. I was thinking that I would rather have the TT685 ( I have rechargeable AA batteries already) rather then having to use another specific charger and battery. But if it is as you say that would be a pretty big advantage for the V860II. Does the TT685 slow down much as the batteries lose power as well? I am guessing the V860II does not change much with the lithium battery.
