3:31 This was fixed and indeed was not intended, making this tank far more accurate and even more powerful now that it has been fixed. Its much easier to hit your shots when your reticle lines up with where the rocket will go.
This is another tank that ultimately is not good for the health of the game imo. Another great review and thanks for doing these so I have a better understanding of them before selecting one in the earn op!
There were many clips and other games I wanted to share in this review but it was already quite long, but I can say that the rockets are effective enough to defend against tier Xs and the DPM adds to that effectiveness with little downtime between shots even after emptying.
I don't own it but i think it only needs a relaod speed nerf Nightstalker has a base 16 sec reload while some tanks has a base 45 sec reload with less penetration and damage But eventually WG going to nerf it when they made enough profit
Sadly I don't think they will nerf it, there hasn't been a premium tank nerf in years. We've only recently started getting nerfs in the balance updates but they've only been tech tree tanks. The last premium tank nerf was the Armadillo
I don't know what the hell these Devs were thinking adding such a STUPID tank to WW2. Honestly it looks hideous and it has done nothing but garner complaints about how broken and overpowered it is. WGCB NEEDS to STOP adding rockets to WW2!
I will be honest, I was against rockets especially in the form of secondary HE salvos on the previous two rocket tanks, but on a tank like this with only rockets and regular pen values I see no reason they can't exist. They're just straight firing low velocity HEAT rounds at this point. Which has its upsides (straight firing) and downsides (ironically also the straight firing losing its ability to land on upper plates at a more flat angle from the typical low velocity arc) and introduces another ammo type to the game that isn't too powerful. Its more the DPM of the tank that makes it OP. If these rockets with 330mm of pen also functioned like HE where they would do splash if they didn't pen then I would agree to not have them in the game. But luckily they decided to have them work more like regular rounds and have a low pen splash damage option in the third ammo slot. I'm not so much against the rockets on this tank as I am the Calliope cause I believe the Calliopes rockets are extremely beneficial to the tank without its main gun taking a hit either and the Calliope should've just been a skin. Cause to me the secondary rockets provide way more utility over other secondary weapons alongside having the ability to shoot over obstacles without revealing your tank since the rockets are so high up. But its a tier VI so some players won't care how much utility and power those rockets have, but I do. Also believe it or not, there are many players that think this tank sucks. Which gives them the thumbs up on making more tanks like this because some players can't get passed the low velocity rockets unfortunately. This tank is overpowered with its DPM, Mobility and Armor, but like the BAT many players have failed to utilize its strength because of the low velocity rounds. Low velocity rounds are easy to use on tanks with big HE and armor like the AVRE and Sturmtiger but not on tanks that have to pen for damage.
Wargaming just needs to quit adding tear 9 and 10 premium tanks into the game cuz all they're doing is killing off their player base it's like instead of actually adding new Tech Tree tanks for World War II for America and all the other nations what do they do spam and nothing but premiums and forcing us to pay for it or go play something else cuz you can't play tier 10 because all you see is tear 10 premiums constantly you can't play Tear 8 cuz that's all you'll see is premiums it's like this game is ruined by premium tanks and then when you go to grind out a tech tree it's difficult because you're in a tech tree vehicle against all overpowered premiums that they don't know how 2 balance I blame the seasons ever since they added the seasons where they just get free premiums like all you got to do is pay for it once complete it and you never have to pay any money for any premiums ever again is horrible
The gameplay doesn't in my opinion but the soulless consumables icons and the "epic victory" text at the end of the match with the MVP screen have always given me a mobile game vibe since their introduction in update 6.0
Oh also 4k dase Dpm is fine because it misses so much with such low rocket flight speeds and the fact if you do hit the are bad for Tracks and any spacing they just get eaten. I see them not pen loads of armour plates that 280 ap would 100% pen every time. So you need the high Dpm having lots of shots to make up for how hard it is. It's not just bad aim but tanks chance angles / direction while rockets flying .
I addressed this in the video knowing some might excuse the DPM because of its rockets. The rockets aren't an excuse like I already said and they can still have high DPM above 3k but 4k is ridiculous and inexcusable. When you don't have issues penning you are broken and the 4k DPM is too much leeway for those moments when you do miss your shots and such. So honestly its not fine
@@plastic_vanity try just under the guns on the flatest part of turret. If you know anyone with one go into training and try with different guns. 220 pen butters the turret
@@mrbrittas3254 Gotta combat the misinformation here. 220mm does not reliably go through 250mm of armor. the armor below the guns you mention are just as thick as the lower plate. I went and tested it just in case I was somehow missing something but no. The reticle is orange even up to 276mm of premium APCR penetration I tested with the Roswell. Orange does mean you have a chance but its not butter. I tried 221mm of standard AP pen with the Deathstalker Patton and got one pen out of 40 rounds. One max roll of penetration that snuck its way in. Definitely not butter. I also tried with plastics tank he was using, the CS-52 Lis and from 33 rounds of 252mm of premium APCR penetration I penned only 4 rounds. And this was in a controlled setting with no gun depression being used by the Night Stalker, so if he had been using gun depression I don't think I would've penned a single round. Light tanks definitely aren't hitting your turret from auto aim either as your turret is not center mass.
Rocket tanks don't have aim time or dispersion of any kind so gin laying drive is useless also perks / skills like aim. Snap shot are useless and so nothing so your wasting at least 2 skill slots. Decent review over than that mate
There is still some minimal RNG involved in where the rocket goes with .2 accuracy that yes those skills are way less effective than they would be on regular tanks, but I didn't feel like spending gold, nor even had the gold when I bought it with 4 gold leftover lol to wanna skill swap. The gun laying drive is completely useless though and I'm surprised its available to even equip on this tank. Maybe an oversight on their part.

I think it needs a 50% increase to its reload, like the Graveyard map and wish I wouldn't have missed out on the AAT60. Great review and gameplay.
The Nightstalker is an absolute menace to lower tier tanks. It’s pure pay-to-win at its worst. Ugh.
Lower tiers yes, tier 10's shred this tank, and the rockets aren't reliable enough to effectively defend itself.
