I knew of the Portuguese Water Dog, but apparently the Spanish Water Dog is popular in Europe and very rare in America. It used to be the same with the Portuguese until Obama popularized it. The owner said the Spanish are smaller than the Portuguese.
I have Pepe. He is playful, working all the time (even when it is not necessary), protective and healthy. Does not shed and it is beautiful. It is part of the family. The bad news is that he likes to eat things that he finds, like...my glasses or my husbands driving licence 🙂🙃🙂🙃😉

Ive got one. Retrieve is their job. He is super intelligent and a good boy but he needs a lot of time and work not for the unexperienced owners or first owners that just want a pet. I shave him twice a year, march and september. I don't care bout norms, mine's tail is curled and it looks fantastic, black with 4 perfect white socks and a white ending on his tail and chest. An absolute unit of a dog people cant take their eyes of of him and neither do I! 😂
