Do you have any data on elevation gain/mileage/time for this circuit? I live off bundy canyon and would like to give this a shot. New to mtb on a 2010 stumpjumper, but am not new to bikes in general, just want a good circuit for building up base strength for out of town rides
What is the fire road you climbed up? Before my ACL Surgery 2 weeks ago I did Slaughter house 2 times. Once with my dad and biked back up Clinton Kieth to get my car and once alone and did the same thing but I am thinking this loop would be fun for the Bike Club this fall when I am riding again.

I’ll make a deal: Subscribe to my channel and I’ll tell you the answer! :) You continue on Avenida la Cresta, turn right when the road splits (still Avenida la Cresta) then turn right onto Via Entrada. Go all the way to the dead end of Via Entrada and the entrance is off of the cul-de-sac.

There was nobody at the gate at the time we went through. We probably would have paid, although we only road through Sylvan Meadows for a short distance before going back out onto Clinton Keith...
hey @aDub MTB I tried to do this loop this weekend but the fire road was closed and looking it up it says santa rosa is closed due to fire, was it closed for you?
No, it was wide open for us. I don't know of any recent fires there. Near the bottom of the fire road, before it even goes up, there is a gate that is always closed. However, the trail goes around the gate for mountain bikers or pedestrians... I hope that helps!
@@ADubMTB the second gate was closed and locked too with a sign warning no to enter. oh well maybe its too dry right now and will open back up in wetter season. thank you.
Hmmmmm..... This ride was actually a combination of three trails. The beginning, climbing portion is not for someone who is new to biking, as it is a steep and strenuous climb. Sylvan Meadows IS a beginner trail. Slaughterhouse Canyon is intermediate with some advanced features, but a beginner could ride it if they take it easy. Hope that helps!

We started at Vineyard Pkwy, west of Whitaker Way, in Murrieta. the fireroad extends west from there. Thanks for watching!
