Gaintha Pitha Khiri Recipe ( Odia ) : Gaintha Pitha khiri ( Khira Gaintha / Gaintha Pitha Kheer ) is a mild sweet and creamy Odia Authentic dish of Odisha , India. Which is prepaed with soaked rice batter. Which takes little time . But, here I have made this Kheer using readymade Rice flour ( Rice powder / Chaula Chuna ) using Raw Rice . This rice flour can also be made at home easily . This delicious Gaintha Pitha Khiri / Kheer is generally prepared on the day of Baula Amabashya or can be enjoyed during any Vrat, festivals, occasions etc.
Ingredients :
1. Raw Rice powder ( Arua chaula chuna ) - 1 bowl ( or 125 gm )
2. Milk - 1 glass ( or 400 ml )
3. Sugar - 6 tbsp ( or as required )
4. Milk powder ( Amul or any ) - 4 tbsp
5. Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup ( or as required )
6. Green Cardamom powder - 1 tsp ( or 5-6 nos. )
7. Salt to taste
8. Clarified Butter ( Ghee )
9. Sliced Almond ( for decorating ) , Optional
10. Saffron ( for decorating ) , Optional

Wow Gaintha Pitha Khiri recipe was looking extremely so beautiful. Small Gaintha balls are very soft, and very smooth in texture. Khiri was very creamy, and semi thick in consistency. Green cardamom powder make its very aromatic in flavor. I think its taste is very delicious. At the end you have served this recipe on black plate, and garnished with some chopped almonds pieces, & some saffron. Which was looking very attractive, and very eye catching. Your presentation was absolutely very fabulous.
