She had 186K when I bought her with matriculate maintenance records!!! She is now about to turn 200K...... may you and Bertha have many, many more adventures together!! Stay safe

Best bit about a rally is having fun with others that want exactly the same experience. Worst thing about rallies is the trip home after, some lack of sleep and using a shit load of energy at the rally.
I forgot to mention..I bought a cheap plastic welding gun from Amazon it comes in a kit with all types of repair stuff and different plastic rods and staples..works amazing on stuff like your broken wind gaurd..I've repaired the broken plastics on my car and side by side floor etc..just like new 👌
Oh man that high heart thing happens to me on long rides too. My watch starts trying to record the ride as a bicycle ride since my heart rate goes up. Something about fighting the wind and the heat.
Please, what mounts do you use for your phone and camera? I also ride a GL1500 and nothing looks like it will work with the plastic over the handlebars and I can't use a magnetic one because the gas tank cover is plastic. I love the old Goldwing but it is sketchy letting my phone ride in the upper right glove box on a wireless mount meant for a car. It is even sketchier trying to look at it in traffic to see my turn. BUT that set up managed to get me from Indiana to Tampa FL. Thanks a million if you are able to reply.
Howdy the Mounts I use are from a company called Lamicall! They surprisingly hold up great! Many trips I thought I need something better but it's done just fine.....
Beth, get a mesh jacket no wonder sweating. Also check out the Wind Wings for the Mirrors so much more wind for the rider only like 59 dollars. and install is simple.
@@BikerBabeBeth I have the mesh jacket and when it's cool in the mornings I have a lined wind breaker that I use as a liner and problem solved. The windbreaker packs lighter and still offers a level of warmth and wind resistance than straight mesh. Be safe, have fun.
Michigan roads suck. I live here and can't stand them. You really road up in Michigan. My wife and I are going to Shanty creek MI which is just se of there. It's a drive from Grandville, Just 2 hr 25 min or 159 miles. Family campgrounds are fine but I preferer Adults only. Looks like you had a great time there.
