I once dressed as a sea of broken dreams Henri...but noone understood. They just looked at me with blank confusion and carried on forcing themselves to enjoy this futile existence we call life. Mon Dieu...
I was just about to drown in crippling self-doubt and then I saw this. I'm laughing and crying, can literally feel my depression lift. Henri, you're a lifesaver
The careful synchronization of subtleties of cat movement with voice-over and music is wonderful, maybe sublime. Henri is so vivid, perfect. Laughter bubbles up like champagne poured.
Have to watch this every year around Halloween. And sometimes in between. Thank you for this gift Henri, you are still missed! So glad to have shared some time with you on this earth. Rest In Peace little friend.
Seriously, this is the greatest thing ever!!!! You are hilarious and I feel like you truly understand your cat's soul. You've made me understand him so well, I actually felt a STRONG distaste for the costume horns at the end... I cringed for Henri's perceived humiliation! Had I seen a photo of these cats in their outfits before I watched all these videos, I would have simply thought it was adorable, but now I despise that image on your cats behalf. You are incredibly talented, you have a responsibility to keep putting these out! Totally turned my mood around today, and there could be no more important work than that:):)
The thieving filmmaker writes and performs all of the music for my videos himself. He can't share the spotlight with anyone, due to his own insecurities.
Henri, je t'aime. On my birthday I found a handsome black cat who was sitting outside my office, and he was on his last legs. He looks so much like Henri that we took him home and promptly named him Henry, since we do live in Kentucky. Thank you for your enjoyable videos!!
thank you, you extremely artistic and brilliant French person... this is my fave cat vid of all time.... "no one ever dresses up as crippling self doubt"... best line ever!!!
How utterly purrrfect! Henri, you are a genius. If only humans had as much sense as you! Thank you for this precious video. The fact that it is in French somehow makes it even more charming for me. Thank you!
OMG this is the best one yet...... "even tributes to lost friends"........and his Viking hat at the end! Priceless. I love this ennui-ridden chat. He is so handsome and the music is just purrfect.
Brilliant series, and having had three Tuxedos of my own over the last 40 years, I both laugh and cry - my last feline companion left me 10 moinths ago at the age of 17. Henri is priceless, eternal catdom, but reveals his inner weakness: "...Bacon..." Thanks for creating this, it's done my heart good, as well as every cat lover I know.
I love love love this! Many great bits. Especially the Camus about "That guy is not a spaceman!" What a great face Henri has! I love the music, too, Mr Baden! Very nice. Your piano is the perfect backdrop. Must be a real one, because there are a few out of tune strings, which makes the accompaniment even more on point (or should I say en pointe!) Merci! Merci so much!!
"How do frightening ghouls have anything to do with a squash?" hahahaha It does make one consider how absolutely RIDICULOUS we may very well seem to our cats and dogs. And we are!
Great video. Sarte would be proud of the black & white cat and HIS view of Halloween. It's my least favorite holiday, so it was fun to watch a sardonic treatise on it. Mon Dieu, a brilliant cat.
I wear my Crippling Self Doubt costume all year long. It's only at Halloween I can pretend to be anything else! Once again you have entertaind and enlightened! Merci, Henri.
Henri I am resuming my French studies because of you! Seven years under my belt and I am ready to go back for more!! You reminded me how much j'adore francais!!!
Very stylish, clever, simple, and profound. The symbol of the beautiful cat as all knowing, casting a disdainful philosophical, slightly nihilistic eye over human foolishness. Humans do tend to take beautiful things and see them as grotesque, in a pique of jealousy.
Hi, Andrea! Hope you're having a pleasant day! I'm clueless when it comes to technology. I was trying to make a general comment, but it was addressed to you. Thanks for your patience.
I loved the "What do frightening ghouls have to do with squash?" Oh that was so funny Henri. And the reference to your lost friend. Also it is fun to participate. *wink*
Vraiment, quand je voyais Henri la premiẽre fois, il me rendait triste. Tout-ce qu'il dit est tellement vrai! And then I saw part two - le titre déjà me fait sourire. Et me rendait triste puisque tout il dit est vrai. Then Le Vet..... ahhhhhhhhh, quoi dire! Tout il dit..... But there is hope. Anais Mittins replied with a vid and I can only agree: Moi aussi suis in love with Henri! Pas d'espoir, séparé par milliers des couloirs, je sais. Tant pis.
There is a quote - I don't know from who ' "If cats could talk, they wouldn't". Henri is the embodiment of that truism - it's like Feline No Exit - the door is there, but you can't go out
Last night was a rather "dispiriting" Halloween, around these parts (cold, wet, almost no neighborhood participation/trick-or-treaters), causing me to bemoan the local state of the holiday in a Facebook post. A friend of mine posted your video, & I have to say that it was (even if a bit perversely) quite a "spirit-lifter" for me... for one thing: a cat that quotes Camus -- what's not to love? Mr. Braden, you & Henri are my new existential heroes... ;)
I just ran into this video about Halloween for the second time. It's brilliant. Henri is gorgeous and so expressive. Can I nominate him for male lead in the drama category?
HYSTERICAL! I love the nod to his old friend the spider from an earlier video & the utter humiliation of wearing the costume at the end. Oh I see now that someone already commented on the spider, oops! My "faux-PAW"!!! ;-) Poor Henri's depressive & near suicidal take on things makes me laugh so hard I almost have to run for the catbox. PURE COMIC GENIUS! Never stop making these. I have a black cat, Jetson, (or rather HE has me!) & Jetson worships the ground upon which Henri lays.
I have dressed as crippling self-doubt for years. Merci, Henri. You give me many things to chew over today. I feel shame and remorse over my pathetic shenanigans at Saturday night's Eurovision party. And Australia isn't even IN Eurovision. Perhaps you'd like to contemplate the great folly of Eurovision for us?
Subscribed yesterday after coming across one these videos. Now this gets uploaded and I must say....im a huge fan now! Happy Halloween Henri! or should I say.....Sad Halloween!!
The music. It speaks to what's left of my heart. Dignity? A memory. At best. Winter. Finally, it is here. The happy ones will go inside. And I can rest. Again.
"No one ever dresses as crippling self-doubt" should belong to the top hundred of best quotations ever.
Totally right! My burst out laughing moment!
I dress as crippling self doubt everyday.
@@soslothful Our 'new normal'😵 (I love Henri)
..only Henri can put it forth properly!!!
2021 it's still a classic! 👍
"Tribute to lost friends"...such attention to detail - referencing the spider from the previous video, pure genius!
You have to be fairly Henri-obsessed, like you and me, to pick up that detail!
I did, and I have to admit, I was proud to be able to mention it. It showed me, that I am worthy of henry; I appreciate his tender soul :D
Came here looking for this comment! Thank you!!
The henri Le cinematic universe
I once dressed as a sea of broken dreams Henri...but noone understood. They just looked at me with blank confusion and carried on forcing themselves to enjoy this futile existence we call life. Mon Dieu...
Henri sure knows to appreciate your pain xD :)
I was revisiting Henri and found this...thank you.
That look on Henri's face at the end is priceless.
Смеётся тот кто смеётся последним.
"No one ever dresses as crippling self-doubt" ... brilliant!
I was just about to drown in crippling self-doubt and then I saw this. I'm laughing and crying, can literally feel my depression lift. Henri, you're a lifesaver
Henri is the thinking man's Grumpy Cat.
Thinking Woman's as well.
Je suis "obsessed" avec Henri/Will Braden(in a harmless manner.)😃
lol his name should actually be Ennui
“Camus wrote ‘Man is the only animal who refuses to be what he is’; that guy is not a Spaceman” Hahahahahhaa
Ya that one went way over my head. 'whoosh', as it were, for me.
Every year I review these and enjoy them again & again.
"Crippling Self Doubt."
.......I like it.
The careful synchronization of subtleties of cat movement with voice-over and music is wonderful, maybe sublime. Henri is so vivid, perfect. Laughter bubbles up like champagne poured.
I love how Henry just close his eyes in the end, as if resigning from this banality of an existence.
Poor Henri. The indignity, oh the indignity!
'even tributes to old friends' had me cracking up from the reference to the first episode
Have to watch this every year around Halloween. And sometimes in between.
Thank you for this gift Henri, you are still missed! So glad to have shared some time with you on this earth.
Rest In Peace little friend.

It’s been years (6?) since I first came across Henrí on TH-cam, and he’s been one of my all-time favorites.
Every year I dress up as crippling self-doubt.
day for me

Henri really does have the elegant, nonchalant look~ love him!
RIP spider friend :'(
thank you, you extremely artistic and brilliant French person... this is my fave cat vid of all time.... "no one ever dresses up as crippling self doubt"... best line ever!!!
For some reason, I lost it at "Fraudulent Food".
"That guy is not a spaceman." Tell it, Henri!
That last frame with both kitties in costumes was priceless. Vive Henri!
My life needs many more of these films in it.
How utterly purrrfect! Henri, you are a genius. If only humans had as much sense as you! Thank you for this precious video. The fact that it is in French somehow makes it even more charming for me. Thank you!
Love, love, LOVE Henri! Brilliant video that made me laugh and brightened my day. "That guy is not a spaceman" is my new favorite quote.
OMG this is the best one yet...... "even tributes to lost friends"........and his Viking hat at the end! Priceless. I love this ennui-ridden chat. He is so handsome and the music is just purrfect.

LOVED the ending! But don't skip to it. Only funny if you watch the entire thing. I love Henri!!!! Merci Beaucoup!
One of my favorite Henri videos! He expresses disdain exquisitely.
existential angst at its most poignant!
"no one ever dresses as crippling self doubt". The most fantastic line ever - bravo!
"That guy is not a spaceman."
This is the best episode yet.

I Laughed! I Cried!! I was filled with Ennui!!!
Bravo Will et Henri!
It doesn't matter how many of these I see. Each new one makes me laugh so hard that I cry.
Ah Henri, no. The last scene is heart-breaking. They are breaking your spirit..
Love you Henri,I have loved you for years thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They still make me laugh out loud. Will you are a genius
None of these costumes are truly scary- no one ever dresses as crippling self doubt... Most epic line ever 🤣😂😭💯
Aw, poor Henri - we love you! It's a good thing Halloween only comes once a year...
I don't normally post comments, but your videos are hilarious! This is why the internet was invented, an outlet for the creative.
J'adore Henri!
Great video. Sarte would be proud of the black & white cat and HIS view of Halloween. It's my least favorite holiday, so it was fun to watch a sardonic treatise on it. Mon Dieu, a brilliant cat.
En effet, son angoisse existentielle et l'ennui perpétuelle est sans rival! Bravo, Henri!
I wear my Crippling Self Doubt costume all year long. It's only at Halloween I can pretend to be anything else!
Once again you have entertaind and enlightened! Merci, Henri.

LMAO, I noticed the name at the end of the video and looked him up. I went to high school with this guy.
He was hilarious back then too!
Love the ending !! Poor Henri :)
Mon Ami, Henri, gets better and better with each film and every viewing. He brightens ma vie! Bravo!
Hi, Andrea! Hope you're having a pleasant day!
I'm clueless when it comes to technology. I was trying to make a general comment, but it was addressed to you. Thanks for your patience.
never fails to cheer me up. great work again.... you need to come down here to hollywood, the writers here are all full of party mix.
Oh my god. The subtle eye closing at the end had me rollin.
I can feel the pain in the end.
Poor Henri.
I love it.
"No one ever dresses as crippling self-doubt."
Sublime
Christopher Walken brought me here. I am pleased, though saddened by the distress of young Henri.
I loved the "What do frightening ghouls have to do with squash?" Oh that was so funny Henri. And the reference to your lost friend. Also it is fun to participate. *wink*
I think the character of Henri is quite creative and often amusing.
I actually dressed as crippling self-doubt THIS year. And I hadn't even heard of Herni, yet!
Absolutely existentially brilliant. 'Just made my day!
My favorite video in the world!
LOL- I wholeheartedly agree with Henri regarding the folly and madness of it all. But in the end- oh, the indignity!
Reminds me of the line from one of my favorite movies - referring to Marlon Brando's character - "He's like some kind of genius...."
Vraiment, quand je voyais Henri la premiẽre fois, il me rendait triste. Tout-ce qu'il dit est tellement vrai! And then I saw part two - le titre déjà me fait sourire. Et me rendait triste puisque tout il dit est vrai. Then Le Vet..... ahhhhhhhhh, quoi dire! Tout il dit..... But there is hope. I've watched it four times today and I'm not even a cat lover but I think it's hysterical.
Last night was a rather "dispiriting" Halloween, around these parts (cold, wet, almost no neighborhood participation/trick-or-treaters), causing me to bemoan the local state of the holiday in a Facebook post. Turn up to a Halloween party dressed as Crippling self doubt!
Henri reminds me of myself as a teenager.
Henri is so cute and fluffy! [: Love his voice actor too, I think they do a good job together. It entertains me when I watch their videos.
Oh my God, that ending was absolute gold.
This was genius. Lost friends, crippling self-doubt, and the final scene!
It's like I hear my own thoughts echoing back through the silent black endless night
This always cracks me up! We are Forever impacted by you sweet Henri ! ♥️ ☁️ Thank you for gracing us!
I just ran into this video about Halloween for the second time. It's brilliant. Henri is gorgeous and so expressive. Can I nominate him for male lead in the drama category?
Bravo, so glad I saw your interview on CTV.I just watched your first 4 videos: brilliant!
Best, most wonderful cat who ever lived. He is dearly missed.
HYSTERICAL! I love the nod to his old friend the spider from an earlier video & the utter humiliation of wearing the costume at the end. Oh I see now that someone already commented on the spider, oops! My "faux-PAW"!!! ;-)
Poor Henri's depressive & near suicidal take on things makes me laugh so hard I almost have to run for the catbox.
PURE COMIC GENIUS! Never stop making these. I have a black cat, Jetson, (or rather HE has me!) & Jetson worships the ground upon which Henri lays.
'Celebration and ceremony are fool's errands' - omg those are beautiful words lol

0:53 - 1:01...the timing of the cat's head swivel with the voiceover plunges me into existential despair! and its funny
Once again, wonderful original score Will Braden! We sure wish you'd mention this amazing talent (one amongst many) in interviews, etc.
HH
Tonight is Halloween, Henri. I celebrated by watching your video. :(
J'adore absolutement Henri et sa vie existential. Le chat, le francais, la music, tout son superb! Plus d'Henri por favour!
Brilliant !! Thanks for the Halloween laughter
I've watched this video over and over again, and that line cracks me up every time!
I enjoy these short films so much. Thank you!!!
Henri's innermost thoughts are partly artistic and I am finding it both creepy and mesmerizing.
IN HEAVEN!!! a new Henri video!!!!! makes my week! love you!
The music. It speaks to what's left of my heart. Dignity? A memory. At best.
Winter. Finally, it is here. The happy ones will go inside. And I can rest. Again.
Watching this on Halloween, 2024 with laughter and tears. How I miss Henri 😢❤
We need more Henri. Vive le chat noir.
Keep 'em coming. Nothing brightens up my day like a Henri video.
Brilliant episode!
Another masterpiece. It has my favorite ending so far. XD
Will, you are so talented and LUCKY to be allowed to work with Henri. Thank you for making me laugh - I so appreciate it. XO
Love these videos.... What a great actor Henry is!
