Something not mentioned is how tiring it is to carry the big jew out from a spot like that. I wanted fillets to be taken and not the whole bloody fish as a result on one trip to a similar walk-in spot.
Sounds like you have some great memories of that place I'm glad I reignited the memory for you. Sometimes the toughest times are the best memories. See you on the next one 🤝👍
Go Hunter, just started watching your videos, very good quality and interesting, thanks for the time and effort in making, happy ongoing adventures, from part time fisherman.
That was some tough fishing conditions - night fishing taught me how to feel my line..... but the cliff was hard as well, not sure how you'd have landed any bigger fish? Some carry the pier baskets but they know to carry them & you happened upon this spot. Thanks for sharing the scenery, beautiful doesn't quite sum it up...... wish I was there... cold or not. see ya next time.
It's a very scenic spot good for a bushwalking very scenic. The spots were new to us so we were taking it as it comes cliff gaff be handy, beautiful area. See you on the next one
Great adventure Luke 👍 I’ve been there done that it’s exhausting!!! If you’re heading down that way again?😮 Little Beach around the right side has a great ledge. Fisherman’s End of Kilcare Beach has great options too. 👍
Thankyou 👍 It's now a great memory as usual. Little beach is where I seen my first great white spear fishing, was my last trip spear fishing 😂 thankyou mate good info 🤝
Gene Dundon article ? , most central coast articles back in that time were written by him , plus 2 very good books , , fishing central coast estuaries & rock fishing the central coast , used as bibles by some very good anglers , including comp guys for decades . I met Gene at his home at east Gosford before he passed , very switched on angler & the stories of big Jew lined up on putty & kilcare beach all caught on red feathers by multiple anglers had me listening hard . I had both books years ago & now can’t find them , long out of print & hard to get , anyone that has a copy of either or both , I would be willing to purchase .
It's a beautiful spot, your right i caught some beautiful fish there in the boat. Landbased was something I needed to tick off my list such a scenic walk. See you on the next adventure 🤝
As always thankyou for the video. What size(weight) star sinkers do you normally use. I am in the process of getting together a beach fishing setup. Nige from Sydney
I'm sure you know about it already, but Wybung and Cathrine hill bay are great ledges and way more accessible lol! Wybung get's a bit gnarly though, but holds some xos drummer in the right conditions. Tight lines fella, always a good watch.
From the Box Head walking track you can get to Iron ladder beach around the right from box head. I haven't fished it but iv'e been a few times and looks promising.
Hi again. was the beach cart a good investment? The wheels look a bit skinny for sand. I am looking at the BCF Wanderer or Kmart cart as a future purchase. Nige from Sydney
Great vid Luke. Appreciate the effort you go to to bring these vids to us. What a marathon effort this one was !
Great adventure mate. Gotta love leg day.

The beach seemed promising.
A Trevally and three Flathead isn't too shabby, and the Soapie as well.
Awesome adventure young man, but I wouldn’t walk a mile in your shoes on that session 😅
😂👍
Top video I love ❤️ it

Box head? big jewie gutter runs along there, some incredible fish have been caught there

Better off trying to catch luderick for bait plenty there and try for a jew with live ludericl.
If you have the time I would hit that spot hard, very known old timers spot with plenty of 30kg fish from those rocks. Live yellowtail
