I Grew up around the corner from Mc Lean Avenue, Yonkers. I know Woodlawn Quite Well. Still a Great Area to Live and plenty of Pubs, Grocery stores, and it has not changed for the Worse as many other areas have!!!!
Awesome tune!! I frequently played music in and lived in Woodlawn for a hot minute in the early to mid 90s... That community still has my heart and I visit as much as I can when in the area.
I grew up in Woodlawn in the 90s.Best year’s of my life. The last Borough before leaving the CITY!!!!Annnnnnndddddddd my Birthday is on St. Patrick’s Day💕💕💕💕Perfect town for a gal who isn’t even a tad Irish lol.Good Job
Streets of Woodlawn? My McCue ancestors are buried In the Woodlawn Cemetery not far from Katonah, I’m from E233rd Street. Family is everything to me. Proud to be from The Bronx.
Oh man!!!! I need the lyrics. I thought the hook was “ohhh it’s a glorious day” either way I’m glad one of the comments clarified it. Now it makes total sense and i play it over and over again. Fuckin pumps me up man!!!! 🎶 OH!!!! THERES NO WORK TODAY!!!! Ooohhhh in the streets of Woodlawn 🎶 ❤️❤️
Oh is there no work today. Oh is there no work today. Oh in the streets of Woodlawn Its midnight on a Sunday on McLean and Katonah Ave the bars are packed with people and the streets are packed with cabs. mahogany painted in lincolns a credit card to hold a tab. Somebody might sing a song tonight if they ever get a chance. Oh is there no work today. Oh is there no work today. Oh is there no work today. In the streets of Woodlawn. Haven’t had a beer since this morning so I am dying for a drink. Rambling House to Behans; Aqueduct to Keanes. We got bar stars buying rounds screaming this is for the boys. Never left this neighborhood but I never had a choice. Oh is there no work today. Oh is there no work today. Oh is there no work today. In the streets of Woodlawn. Marching with the pipe bands in all the local parades. Bar stools and beach chairs spending summers in Rockaway. Went to college at Iona, Manhattan and Fordham Road, and some of us are on J1s and we’re never going home Oh is there no work today. Oh is there no work today. Oh is there no work today. In the streets of Woodlawn
@@BrendanRafferty-di3dt did you write this song? Lol my friend Fion is the guitarist, and Seamus wears the sickest Christmas outfits. Such an amazing band.
Ha, ha, ha This title is definitely not politically correct. No worries; this will be your children. If Ireland took care of my parents I would be Irish. That's why I'm an American!
