Hi Kiaora from new Zealand very Kool sunbeams on show, love all the hunter GLS , Payaks Iran utes of hunter's are still available by the 100s and Humber sceptre 1725. O/D
Hi Tipene, and welcome!!!! I can not believe you guys still see Hunters!!!! Utes are a rare sight this side of the world. We were scheduled to get the Holden Commodore as the Pontiac G8 ute, but GM pulled the plug on Pontiac. We did get about 13,000 G8 sedans, oh, sorry, saloons!
Sunbeam Alpine V8 2 door is a must to have ,1978 model raced at nzs last lady Wigram trophy did very well against E type jags v12 check out the video 1985 classic racing lady Wigram trophy?
Hi Tipene, Sorry, the Sunbeam Tiger, or Alpine V8 was 1965-1967 with a very few tagged as '68. The video of the racing game was interesting th-cam.com/video/b3b8Yv-o29Q/w-d-xo.html
@@carshowreporter Singer Gazelle, Green: Sunbeam Rapier 3, White/blue flashes, Sunbeam Rapier 5, Dark Green, Singer Vogue, Dark Green, Arrow shape Rapier but never never really enjoyed driving it. That I sold quickly as it was very good nick. So got a Hillman Hunter GLS with Holbay. Blue original and so fast and smooth. All you could hear was the whistle of the Altenator. All reliable, all characterful and all owned between 1992 and 1999. The Hunter GLS was owned by a guy who owned an Aston Marten DB5 but he preferred driving the GLS but sold it to me as he needed the garage space. All bought for very little when these cars were still quite common if you looked hard enough. Its best to have one really good car but I was young and wanted them all back then. Haha.
The Alpine was roomier and had little, comfort features the B did not, including the telescoping steering wheel and even an adjustment of the seat rake ( 2 settings ). Thanks for commenting, Mr.Rae
I did notice that location of the rear license plates are different and so are the rear trunk lids. The alpine has a recessed area to Mount the license plate in the trunk lid. Where the tiger has the license plate mounted on the rear bumper.
I see what you mean. The trunk lids are interchangeable, and the Tiger plate should be mounted on the lid, as the licence plate light is in back of the bumper. But I see a handle on the Tiger. I will have to look into this. Thanks for commenting.
@@carshowreporter They were built for European plates which just got stuck on. US dealers got it with nothing and had to fit put plates on. Some drilled holes in the bumper or trunk, some used aftermarket plate holders screwed into the trunk or bumper. Mine had holes in the bumper and trunk when I got it. It would be unusual to find two the same
The Alpine has always been under appreciated by many , overshadowed by the other British sportscars and, of course, the Tiger. They have finally been " rediscovered ". Thanks for watching and commenting Steve!
the alpine came out in 1959 not 60. the hardtop was only standard on the 15 GT Tigers that did not have the soft tops. the traction master traction bars were only optional. Kenneth Howes did the styling of the original series sunbeam alpine

@@taketimeout2share You had some very nice Rootes products!!! Thanks for sharing your memories.
Loved the Series V Alpine. It’s interior presented better than an MGB.
