I am planning on reconditioning both of my DB9 mirrors this year as a small amount of corrosion is starting to appear on the arms. I'm really looking forward to the next part of this video so I'm ready for the job when the weather improves.
I'm just getting ready to record the refinishing step for mine. I've already done one (and figured out the process). Turned out awesome. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!
I couldn't de-pin the multiplug to remove the cable. In an upcoming video your see me restore the faded paint finish and bring the mirror back to new condition without having to remove the cable. They look fantastic afterwards. Thanks for watching!
Hi the sound may comes from the joint (close to the mirror) with the glass and "door frame" ...i had the problem, the joint was a bit smashed and then i had a wind noise on the driving side (most used side of open/rubbing/close/rubbing)
Thanks for sharing! Would love to understand that better, just a bit confused on which aspect you are describing. The vertical upright seal that sits at the rear of the black triangular mount, and has the rubber C channel that envelopes the leading edge of the window glass? Drop me a line at steve@aston1936.com if you can send along a picture pointing out the spot or add more details. Thanks again!
Liked after 15 seconds into the video, Thanks.

Hi Steve - thanks for sharing. Have you figured out yet how to disassemble the mirror? I've had a look and can't see a follow on video yet.

Dude. How to remove the door panel?????
🙈Quite dangerous where you are getting with your tool at 5:55 without a protecting hand
That's what my wife said, and it did turn out that she was technically proficient.
