Urban Exploring an Abandoned Dream House That Is No More

- Before I get into the description of this house I'd like to thank my subscriber Ethan www.instagram.... for sending me to this house. He has provided me some great locations to share with you in the near future. I had such a great weekend of #Urbex that I could not help myself but to share mid month some footage of my adventures.
This house was someone's dream house on a beautiful property in an suburban setting. The design and architecture clearly show that somebody wanted this to be a fantastic family home. I've seen many modern houses that seem to be cookie cutter homes with built with cheap materials wanting to be it to be so much more. But this has knocked it out of the park with quality of workmanship. granite counter tops marble floors hardwood trim and molding they spared no expense when they built this house. I cannot imagine the time that I must have taken to sort out all the little idiosyncrasies of the architecture. Something that I did find it kind of weird where why they use small air conditioners in the upstairs and not a central air. On the main floor hallway I could swear that that was a walk-in humidor now that's cool.
Some small artifacts left around the house give us more insight into the people who used to live here it appears they came from Pakistan some time ago with a young child. Maybe they came here with success or they are they found success here, either way it's obvious they did well for themselves. But what happened why did this house go to waste where did the family go and why was their dream house laid to waste. Maybe it can be fixed one day, but right now, it is slowly being destroyed.

It never ceases to amaze me that those assholes can go into a house and destroy everything - I hope they will never ever have anything in their lives as beautiful as this house was.
Great camera work! Love being able to see the whole layout of the house in a continuous, unedited flow and hear the sounds of the house and your footsteps. What a beautiful house.
Makes me wonder what happened to the owners and I feel sad watching this. This was someone's home and a nice one at that. Someone clearly loved this place once and a lot of care was taken when it was built. The interior fitout is of very high quality. Letting such a nice house go to waste and people going in there trashing it just for the fun of it seems so pointless and callous.
What a fantastic find! Whoever owned this luxury home must have paid big bucks to have it furnished in such a lavish style. Wow! $$$ Too bad that Volunteer places like Habitat for Humanity or Raise theRoof couldn't have retrieved tubs, sauna, counters, frig. etc before those idiots trashed this place.

They are tweens with tiny dick complex. Or dumbass druggies. They like it to destroy as it empowers them like they are the eponymous barbarians of the Antiquity. Crush their dreams and stop calling them that =)
I am serious though. Why do you think these destroyers so insist about spraying penis on the walls, among other things? It sort of has a Freudian symbolic, when you think about it... That's why I cease to use a word that is badass for them, to just belittle them as TPC people. A good combat begins with the according terminology.

What a beautiful home. It is sad that it has been defaced and destroyed by thoughtless vandals, rather than being allowed to retire in dignity, with the memories of a time when it was a loved and cherished home to a family. People who lived their lives there, and looked forward to the time when they could come home to a place which welcomed them, and made them feel safe, and provided respite from the harshness of the world we live in. The harshness of that world has now been brought into this sanctuary, and it is no longer a safe and happy place in which to find solace. Thank you for sharing. 💐

It is such a shame when you come across a home like that. I don't even want to think how many abandon homes that are left behind.
The front of this beautiful home gave me a woodsy cottage vibe, gorgeous! Once inside, you can tell it was a dream home at one point, but so much damage, it made me think of a hate crime, which is so sad. I too wonder what would make people abandon such a wonderful place and let it decay in such a way. Another great find, you have great collaborators :)

The reason for small window unit air conditioners in upstairs bedrooms is to keep your own separate room at the temp you personally want. They use them in addition to the house's central air.
Great find daadeeoh! I bet this place was just beautiful once. The floors, molding, doors and fixtures were just amazing. A real shame to see something so beautiful be trashed. I guess sometimes life happens. I also think that is wild seeing window units upstairs in a million dollar home. As always, thanks for sharing!

I get so mad and upset to think of what that house once looked like and to see it now in this condition. I don't understand why some people just have to destroy these places. They cause so much damage you can imagine how much it would cost to repair. I hope that one day the vandals have something of theirs trashed , then they would know how it feels.

i think the little room on the main floor is lined with cedar. if so, its most likely a storage closet and not a humidor.

Beautiful quality, solid core doors on all rooms, lovely trim. I would love to catch the little bastards that destroyed this home. I would make them clean and repair every inch of it. It really troubles me that someone would want to do this to someone's home. Too bad when they smash the glass they don't get cut up and have to go to the hospital and explain to their parents how it happened. The reason they don't have central air is because they have base board heat, so there's no duct work. Today they have units that are flush to the ceiling and are very effective. Thanks for sharing this.
Great video! To answer your question about why they used small AC's upstairs and not central air is most likely because the HVAC system in the house isn't powerful enough to blow cold air to the upper floor. The main floor and basement would be fine with the central. I used to live in a home where the central AC cooled down the basement to an unbearable amount and the main floor was not even 2 degrees below ambient.

Huge house inside. Must have been impressive in its day. Quality built along with solid doors and no expense wasted on any of the bathrooms. Must have been an expensive place to heat with electric baseboard through out.
What a beautiful home, it's a shame that asshats come in and destroy abandoned places. Apparently their parents never taught them any manners, just because it's abandoned doesn't give them the right to vandalize.

That house needs love. It is obvious that the original owners loved it. So sad it is trashed but still has great bones and beauty. Awesome job! Was that done with your new camera? lol
ya new Gopro, it seems to be a wider FOV..I will have to get used to it or change it in the settings, i am up in the air on it
Thieves and degenerates really know how to wreck a place, that place was huge, wouldn't had guessed that from seeing the bit from the outside, certainly was a dream house that is no more.

Out skirts of Atchison Kansas old abandoned farm homes. Beware tho its tornado alley. Nice house lil dark needs tubular skylights. House is quite large. Stay safe. Thanks for sharing

After reading all the comments on how beautiful the house was and has been trashed by vandals, I couldn't even watch the video. My heart hurt too much, I didn't need to see it.

Some folks should remember that holes in walls are _sometimes_ made by potential contractors / repair companies, wanting to know if there's any damage behind the drywall - not everything is vandalism
But the spray painting is pure childishness and it grinds my gears >:-|

I'm surprised no one has stolen all of the expensive electrical, mechanical, and architectural pieces, though some pieces are missing or are in the process of removal. I think the wood "closet" might have been a cedar closet for off season clothes. I suspect the window units upstairs were to help cool the rooms under that large roof because the central air unit needed help. Vandals are a**holes and I always figure they are little punks who can't stand anyone having nice things they don't have. I'd almost rather see someone steal things than just to destroy for no reason! The best answer to the problem would be if the owners or bank would at least call a salvage company and sell the removable items instead of just let them be ruined or stolen. Great video, you are one of my favorite film makers!

Excellent video! I wouldn't put the blame on vandals entirely. When the housing bubble burst in the US, many owners destroyed their own homes when the bank foreclosed to get back at the bank and make it impossible to resell. The way they hit every wall, glass, and expensive fixture, but didn't appear to take any wiring points to this. Just a guess however.
To add my two-cents worth to the comments about the ever-increasing infiltration of subdivisions - I don't think any town is safe anymore. We drove through Alliston last month (haven't been there for years) - first thing you see is a massive subdivision - Unreal! …. there goes the small town look and Ontario's good farmland - on the bright side there will be lots of abandoned homes to explore. Gotta look on the bright side. Progress is inevitable I guess,

I work for a general contractor so I can see all the time and effort put into that home, house alone without the property was in the half a million dollar range to build just from what I can see and probably in the $850 and up range in sale price. There's a huge mansion close to where I live the owner started the build got 2 years into the build and passed away, the unfinished house sold for $3.45 million and is still under construction I estimate it approximately 12-15,000 square feet.
What a fantastic home. The ac units are a bit strange for such a elaborate place.

its the thug gutter mentality of the kids these days. they have no discipline or respect of anything of beauty or value. its really a shame.
People work really hard for their home to be nice. Then vandals do this to it. Wait until they have a nice home and someone dose that to them to their house, then they will see what it feels like. Those kinds of people will never know what it feels like to own a nice home. If they can`t have then no one can.

We are so thankful this didn't happen to our home while we were stationed overseas.
My air conditioner is in the wall too. We're renting a farmhouse and we were surprised to see an air conditioner in the wall and not in the window.

The air conditioner is a wall of my bedroom. When we first moved in we took it out cause it didnt work. The landlord told us that it was to cool the entire 2nd floor. No other bedrooms have an air conditioner in them. We put one of our air conditioners in. Then we found a huge air conditioner in the basement that was supposed to go in the wall. We looked at the BTU's or whatever theyre called and we said no way was that monster going in the wall. I would have froze to death in the summer if we used it.
That was a bad ass pad, with a little elbow grease it can be again, good vid bro.

As of Friday, October 4th, 2019, this house is demolished. Im gonna miss this place, definitely made some great memories here.
I used to pass it all the time driving along Mcglaughlin heading up to Brampton. Sadly it is gone now. It feels like a big peice of history has now been erased

Sunshine , when my realtor did a virtual tour of my house I was astonished as to how big it appeared and it truly wasn't as big as it looked on camera. I am sure this house is a humongous house.

What gets me is when vandals ruin these places..no respect for anything!
I almost get ill when I see what vandals have done! It would be to the owners benefit to have someone taking care of the place just to keep the vandals out. Then you have people who don’t give a care of other people’s stuff and would move in and still destroy the place!

I prefer the individual air conditioners in the bedrooms upstairs - my sister is always running cold and hates air at night - where I am always running hot and prefer air conditioning on at night when I sleep.
So personal temp preference is the reason you think ?
Don't know why they did it that way but I like it.
They had base board heat therefore no duct work in the house.

Yet another Mcmansion deserted hastily by its people. Not as terrible as many I have seen but it still doesn't break three legs to a millionaire. What's with the first floor patio supported by these doric columns? It's a supposed to be a chic Canadian cottage, not Gracchus' domus.
12:02 This room in particular is a jigsaw nightmare that can only stem from a sick brain. Any sane architect would held head with two hands and wonder why it exists as it is. I gotta love the Pythagorean balcony neighboring it, it's very "avant-gardist". Its existence is 100% justified in the plan.
Tragic fate for this beautiful home.What really puzzles me is the surrounding neighborhood also looks quite upscale how on earth did the neighbors not hear or see the vandals when they hit this house ? The damage seen in video would be quite noisy each time it happened.I know where I live 👮s would be called.That level of destruction I'd expect to see in ghetto or isolated rural area NOT the upscale suburban development I saw in this video.😱

I have just began watching these videos, and I cannot believe that people would go in to a property and wreck them. It just shows there are more Nut Jobs out there than we think, and I mean Nut Jobs.
I believe that every person that tags and vandalizes such places carries a life long curse along with them to the end of their days. And then goes to hell.

I don't understand WHY do vandals have to go into a private home and tear it up like this ? The holes in the walls is they're looking for copper wiring,that's why some abandoned homes have the electric still on because they don't want the wiring stolen.
I'm just wondering if the person or persons won the Lottery and ended up spending all their winnings and had to give up their home due to not be able to pay the taxes.
