- D.J. Rogers is one of Hezekiah Walker's favorite singers and traveled two days on a bus and train (he does not fly) to Nashville to be apart of this amazing tribute at the 2012 BMI Trailblazers Luncheon, honoring Hezekiah Walker and Kirk Franklin.

DJ was an early influence on Charlie Wilson (Early Gap Band). GOD rest his soul.
Yessirrrrr
I DID NOT know that "All Right Now" was originally secular. D J, though he tried, HE COULDN'T get the Gospel Music out of him when he was in the world. I remember "Say You Love Me" when I was little and how that song has always been a part of my repetoire.
Thanks for sharing. I've been missing his voice.l
Scruggs, you got that right! This man is a masterpiece singa! He is one of the greatest in the World! God Bless Mr. Rogers!
D.J. Rogers is one of the relevant, poignant, brilliant singers and songwriters in music ... and, unfortunately, also one of the most underrated and unappreciated, as well. #epic #realmusic
He is Amazing
Rest In Jesus Arms Mr Rogers
DJ Rogers A true musical legend.
The thing you have to love about DJ Rogers is how young he keeps his voice.
I just discovered DJ Rodgers, this man is amazing!
He's a Badddddd Man!!!!
When Hezekiah has been here, in concert, oh, you oughta see me get my "step" on in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ!!! Praise Him!!!
DJ ROGERS voice is the truth...the absolute truth!
Love DJ
Kevin Stancil on bass Rick Watford on Guitar Joe Wilson on Keys Stanley Brown on Hammond and THE LATE GREAT MARV McQUITTY ON KIT. WE WILL MISS YOU BIG BRO.....RIP
he came thru, at just the right time. I recall getting up in the morning....Mama getting me ready for school...and on WHUR 96.3 in W ash, DC, where I grew up..that radio station was such a big DJ Rogers supporter, they would be playing 'Love Brought Me Back' and 'Say You Love Me' , FIRST THING IN THE MORNING...Im talking like, 7 o'clock in the morning. And Ive been a fan ever since. Nobody sounded like him when he first showed up..and all these decades later, NOBODY sounds like him, now. Ive seen hi twice, in concert.
Once in 1981, at Warner Theater in DC. New Birth and Enchantment (remember, "Gloria"?), opened for him. And the 2nd time, was in San Francisco...mid-80s. And Billy Preston and Sylvester (You Make Me Feel Mighty Real), were on the same ticket. At the Fillmore Theater. DJ and Sylvester, opened for Billy. And that might just be the greatest concert, Ive ever witnessed, hands down.
Woow must've been Epic!!
I just heard of this man today. I am glad Hezekiah gave him his flowers. Old school gospel voice.
I miss hearing DJ so much. This brother is a musical blessing. I love DJ so much and love his music and his spirit. Where you at DJ...we miss you!!!

O.G. D.J. Rogers, yall!!!!!!!!!!!! :)))
Amazing what you learn. No clue this was originally done by DJ Rogers. One of my favorites all-time!
Love Uncle DJ. Don't fool yourself Uncle DJ is a Preacher of the Gospel.2.
Me & A Gospel Group was in concert with him several times years ago..
And Uncle DJ preached his face offffffffffff.LMBOOOOOO!!!!!!
Marvin “One Dimentional” Sapp is out of league and shouldn’t be on the same stage. I went to 2 DJ shows in the early years, Kenny Haskell was on bass. You were touched. After him, it’s hard to match his genius on stage.
Absolutely my favorite artist of all time, hands down, period!!! Thank you D.J. Rogers for the music!!!!
My brother and i was some of his greatest fans!!! RIP DJ!!!!
OMG!!! I love DJ Rogers...a trained voice...God bless him.
