Which means that the horss we have in the states are descendants of reintroduced horses.

The native Americans did not have guns with the Texans were there. When the Texas rangers were there, native Americans were still using bows because it was faster than a single shot rifle. It's when Samuel colt made his 5 shot revolver in 1836 and the Texas rangers adopted it and started to really mess the Native Americans up, is when they started to think guns were a viable option. When the level action repeating rifle was made in 1860 is when the native Americans started using them, before that they would get a revolver off a dead soldier, but when the rifle was released the Native Americans actually searched and traded for those so they could use them.

Native American history is interesting so is our 60 thousand plus year Aboriginal history that most people don’t give a second thought about. If someone is interested enough reading a book on the subject is the best way to learn , at the same time (in this day and age)wherever you lean something no matter what it is surly has to be a good thing.

One thing that puzzled early americans was that europeans chose to live and stay with the indians, and no indians chose to live with the europeans, to adopt that lifestyle, at least long term. It was a big topic during the times (why don't they see how much better we are, and why do our own people choose to stay with them?) and perhaps indicative of how we feel in hierarchical societies versus more collective societies.
13:30 Land bridge? I thought people had concluded the earliest entrants to North America used the coastlines to move south? I guess without a land bridge there's no coastline to follow but still...

The Bering Straits were the “land bridge” from Asia above sea level thousands of years ago. Asians migrated between ice ages following herds through Alaska and moving South following the coast into N. And S. America. There were several waves of migrations.

@@lonniedahlstrom110 Did they travel by sea or by foot? By sea is the growing consensus, warmer, more resources, and easier travel. How did they get to South America so quick by foot, there's some hard landscapes to cross but the sea is plentiful the whole way down. Did they eat herds of seals or herds of bison?
