#Sensors are like tiny detectives that notice even a slight change in a parameter like temperature, motion, or pressure, and when we combine these sensors with a controlling unit, they are termed sensor nodes.
These #sensornodes are spread in the area where remote monitoring is needed to be done and form a network called a Wireless sensor network
So, if you see, wireless sensor networks- they are like a team of small, smart devices that communicate without wires. These sensor nodes are connected to the base station which is responsible for processing the data.
WSNs are like the eyes and ears of a system.
Let’s understand this with a smart LPG leakage detection system.
Imagine you placed sensors all around your house, such as LPG leakage detection sensors.
These sensor nodes send data to a gateway wirelessly, where this data is processed locally and sent to the cloud, which enables us to see this data on our phones.
So, if LPG leaks, the sensor will detect the gas leakage and will send an alert to the gateway, which further sends to the cloud and the alert is sent to the mobile application.
In addition to alerts, the system can also integrate automatic response mechanisms such as activating the ventilation system, shutting off the gas supply, and more.
