Captain I’m sorry to see your this miserable task at ship let me take you back to 1970s.
I sailed on cargo ship as a deck man for few months. Back in those days we had a laundry man and laundry room where he was assigned to do all officers laundry. All officers had butlers who took and brought them back to their room.
It's a sham on these shipping companies to have their officers do their laundry.

Most effective when you came after mud tank cleaning. 😅🤣 When i was trainee seaman then our coverall quantity is limited. And our bosun was strict to not wash any socks handgloves and SOBM residue coveralls in washing machine. Then we frequently used this ancient technic for wash our coveralls.
