I second it. Your new format with long vídeos and several stops is probably easier for you to edit. Filming and editing in one day will burn you out. So whatever it takes to keep you sharp, healthy, and not stress out over a deadline, is ok with me. Thank you Russ.

The rails you saw at the Royal Gorge Bridge are the remains of a slant railway that used to take tourists to the bottom of the canyon where you could overlook the rail line. There is an interesting rail bridge that is hung from the side of the canyon. I took it to the bottom in the 1970s. There was a fire that damaged it and they have never repaired it.

My second comment on this video Russ. Again this scenery is just beautiful, but at 74, I believe that I will leave the rapids, for the younger people, but I might enjoy a more leisurely ride, on a calmer river, with no rapids.

Way back in the early 80s we made a trip to Colorado. Ironically it was about this time of the year, first couple of weeks of August. We went through Monarch Pass working our way down to Farmington NM. I can remember standing at that Continental Divide sign, and it sleeted on us going through Monarch Pass. It was August and sleeting, we couldn't believe it.

The Royal Gorge Train travels along the Arkansas River from Canon City, CO and under the Royal Gorge Bridge. It stops near Parkdale, CO and then returns to the station at Canon City. It's a wonder scenic trip. The train has dining cars where you can eat get something or drink or just relax and watch from inside. Or you can go outside and hangout in open cars with nothing to obstruct the view. You should try it sometime if you like trains, it only takes a few hrs and gives you views you won't get any other way.

Kind of pricey, $89, but you can book a ride on the Royal Gorge Route Railroad. Comes out of Canon City and runs along the river and stops right underneath the bridge. you get a real closeup view of the river rafters that way.

Royal Gorge sure has changed {obviously for worse } When I was there it was free to do bridge. The paying part that I did was to ride those tracks to bottom. I drove across bridge it was shorter trip and to say I did. About those sheep they hide them from me. Except at Royal Gorge they had little zoo like place only time I have ever seen any. I think you had pay to get close to that. White Buffalo was there. So the train ride to see Royal Gorge 2019 $49 now 2023 $94 inflation is not that bad. People quit paying and things will change, they go broke we don't care. We can never see it ALL!!

I prefer the shorter videos, but, whatever works best. I had never heard of The Royal Gorge Bridge, quite an enterprise! They should have given you free admission for the advertising you provide. I am still aghast that so many high sections of US Highway 50 and 550 do not have any guardrails! Some sections do and many don’t, and the US has had decades to get proper guardrails installed.

Very nice ride on SR50. Ouch! on the Royal Gorge $35 entry fee. Senior discount? Like to check the Royal Gorge anyhow plus the train ride in Canon City into the gorge. To be honest I did not like when you went from a 20 minute video to about an hour video, but now I see a better flow on your trips. Keep it up Russ. Too cool for school!!👍

Less than ten miles away is Florence, CO. It houses the baddest, worstiest ( I need to make up a word), meanest, horneriest (whatever), fiercest, most savage and ill behaving criminally minded men in the states. Florence is the home of the Super Max ADX prison. I believe each inmate is in solitary confinement. It is the US most controlled and secure prison in the states to break into and out of. Nevertheless don't pick up any hitchhikers!

You were saying at Royal Gorge, jooked like mining rails. Actually thats the Union Pacific R.R. that follows the river thru the Gorge.

The royal gorge train is fun...there is dining on board. Leaves from Canon City , goes up a little ways into the canon and back>
