i main goku black so seeing cloud do this video about him even though hes not as good as a character as the rest but is still hella fun makes me smile. also when cloud said "choose how you get punished" i literally said "oh, the art of getting hit" which is a video i still even go back to this day to re learn stuff i dont or didnt understand at the time but its always a good way to rehash things also one buff i wish they would of gave him was that when he uses teleport to either light or heavy version that he got frame 1 or even frame 4 invincibility, okay i know that sounds crazy but THINK about it, the very first time he does it in the anime is when goku whiffs on him and hes gone, the amount of time ive gotten mashed on while doing the motion of instant transmission is crazy. like i said either the light version or the heavy of it would be fine, maybe light since it doesnt have anything since heavy is already alright and with that it would be god like, no pun intended

He gets a really easy rejump because of it. I quite like it. Especially since the beam gives him so much corner carry and he preserves his smash for the dive kick.
7:28 goku black was always able to do this mixup.... I even did a video on it explaining it. The mix was hidden behind execution by having to do a superjump install... but since most players never played tekken, arcsys decided to give it to everyone naturally. Fun fact: you can use this mixup in a vanish 4way mix while in sparking using the float and assist.
The only things I would really change about Goku Black is that his J.M has more hitstun (maybe a different hit property, but that seems like much) so he can do normal 5.H or beam rejumps instead of the difficult J.L > J.H > 5.L rejump. I'd also like to see him have more hitstun on his ki blast, he's frames away from having loops in the corner. Either that or make his 236.M faster during hitstun.
All I want now is for them to make his 2m 9f and make his ex divekick plus on block. Oh and instead of more hitstun on his js, just lower the recovery by like 2-3f. If his 2m was 9f he’d have way better and more consistent high low mix with all his teleports. His 2m is just way too slow rn. They made jirens 2m 9f they need to do that for black too
@@hatchell18 His 2.M is pretty slow, but I think he does well for mix and combo game already. I don’t want him to contend with Jiren, or Gogetta, or Labcoat. I just want Black to have good combos and extensions for himself. If he could do loops or the universal rejump, he’d fit into a good category, and fill a role without being the jack of all trades
@@striker5563 his mix is OK. Not great. His 2m being 2f faster wouldn’t suddenly make him a mix monster. It’s his only low and even if he had that his mix still wouldn’t be broken. He still wouldn’t be top tier with that. But his only low option would actually be viable instead of trash

Better hitstun and better blockstun and is anti-air as well, overall a great assist! Only thing that CTF assist has over Black B is it having a larger hitbox but imo the other benefits that Black B has far outweigh the lesser amount of range (at least compared to CTF assist because on its own it’s got pretty great range LMAO)
@@hatchell18 last I heard it covers jump height, which isn’t bad. And I assume you’re talking about the blockstun, not hitstun, because that assist has an entire truckload of hitstun. Also, the blockstun is fine. By saying that this assist is bad you’re implying other assists of this fashion are bad as well, assists like both Gohan A assists for example. Which functionally work the same as Goku Black B and they’re considered amazing assists. They both have ass horizontal range and both have 29 frames of blockstun and they’re considered good. In fact, Goku Black B has more horizontal range than both of those assists, so idk what point you’re trying to make here

Goku black b is not a Dp assist, the vertical range is decent but not great, the hitstun is good but not amazing, and it’s horizontal range is ass. Only thing going for it is it’s fast and it’s an Anti air. If they doubled the range on it then it would be good, If they did that and buffed the blockstun by just 1f then it would be great. But even then his A assist is just better in almost every way.

If they fixed the hitstun on the medium and ex versions of god slicer, made his 2M and cg one frame faster, he'd be up there with the best characters in the game IMO.
the only thing i would want for dive kick is for it to be plus on block, every version even heavy is minus so you basically are giving up your turn if they block so its quite a commitment, plus if they react you get 2Hed

I’m not really too fond of MK/NRS games they’re cool and all and I’m glad the community enjoys it but it’s just not for me. Plus it’s difficult to make content that doesn’t get flagged due to all the gore/blood without making a ton of edits getting rid of it and even then you can get flagged.
