The craziest thing in this? Jane just nonchalantly bringing in - let alone answering - her cellphone inside a secure area.
Yeah, her cell phone can't connect to the outside cell network in a secured facility, even if she's allowed to bring her phone to her desk. But, of course, they must leave their personal electronics at a check-in area before going into the room. If she forgets to take her phone off the network, her phone will drain its battery as it tries to connect to a cell tower because it's inside a Faraday Cage.
What hurts more is knowing that the people behind these heinous crimes will most likely never live to see any consequences for their actions.
