  • This treadmill was a bad mistake for me. I would equate my experience with a covid19 outbreak. What say you?

I purchased the Sunny SF-T7878 manual treadmill for around $550 brand new and directly from the company. It has the exact same belt sliding issue. I have read the instructions about how to adjust the belt, followed them to a T and over and over again it fails. After about 15 minutes of walking it slides to one side and rubs on the machine making the treadmill useless. There are many other reviews out there that say they have the same problem. What a frustrating waste of money. Thank you for making this video!

I had the same issue after about 3 hours sweating and lifting the belt up and down to see if it adjusted.i finally got it equal. Just got to play with it

I love this review I laughed my butt off as funny as AVGN. I got one used and wow I have to wire up the screen when the competitors already did that from the factory. I want my Nordictrack back

Apparently you just got a bad one- mine works fine no slipping. Maybe you used too much oil?

I'm also glad this review didn't stop me from ordering this treadmill.
Yes the pad moves to the sides. It moves more if the treadmill is not on a level surface. But you don't have to get off of it to adjust it constantly. All you have to do is, when you start hearing the pad scraping one side you look down in front of you, to see which side is close to the edge and then without stopping your walk give the pad a couple push with your stride (foot) towards the other direction. In my 15 minute walk I do it a couple of times. You'll get better at it after a few times and it's very easy..
Another thing I wanna mention is that I sometimes put a 2x4" wood under the front frame to make it steeper so I can do my walk with free swinging arms at times.
The weather is cold outside. I like to walk in outside air, so I place the treadmill half way out the deck door. I can walk towards the front if I feel warm enough and when I need the warmth of my apartment I go towards the back..
I'll update this in the future to report any quality issues.
I wish I bought this decades ago.

So glad I didn't let this guy's review stop my from buying this treadmill. Best money I ever spent on fitness equipment. The incline gives an extremely effective and challenging fat-burning workout. If you walk in a straight line and don't step on the edge of the belt, it will be fine. Only con is that it does leave black plastic shavings on the floor after a while

All treadmill belts leave black plastic shavings. It comes from the friction between the belt and the shoes.

Was considering one of these for walking during bad weather. I assumed a 150 dollar treadmill might be kind of junky, this doesn't make me think otherwise. Buying from Amazon might be safe, they take anything back, but that would be a pain repacking and shipping that thing.

Did you throw this away? As I see it, the adjusting method is the same as motorized treadmills. It's no use trying to make the distance even when you're not walking or running on it. You have to adjust it and walk on it and see if the belt moves to the sides. If it moves again, then you have to get off and adjust it. That's the only way and it's same for all motorized treadmills as well.
And when you adjust it, you don't spin the bolt around too much. Just a quarter of a circle or so each turn. For example, if the belt goes to the right, you have to tighten the right bolt or loosen the left bolt to make it even. If you want to tighten the right bolt, you turn it clockwise, and if you want to loosen the left bolt, you turn it counterclockwise. And as I mentioned above, you just turn a quarter of a circle or so and not too much.
Once you get to know how to do it, it's not so hard to do. You just have to understand the principle and learn how to do it by experience. It would be a pity if you threw it away with only this problem because this is not a problem.
And if you really keep having hard time with it, call the company and ask for help. That's the least you can do before throwing it away.
