That shit actually happened a few years ago a couple was fooling around tickling/playfighting/flirting on campus and some other woman saw that, didn't like it and decided to report it to the school as him assaulting her, the school refused to listen to the girlfriend who told them that nothing like that happened and they were just having fun and insisted that she was a battered woman and just too scared of him to admit she was assaulted, the school expelled the boyfriend and then the girlfriend sued the school for expelling him. All because some unrelated third person didn't like the couple having fun together. Edit since my replies keep vanishing: it happened at The University of Southern California in 2017. I don't think katdragonz thread was *necessary*, however that same artist had been very flippant with their promises not only with her but with others. They also held ANOTHER raffle despite not doing a single thing on katdragonz's. Their reputation was already not good to begin with. rosiebellmoo actually covered this on stream with kat, and there's some details you missed.
Oh I see, if it was a one time thing I would still be fine with it. I don't do raffles for this reason(freelance artist here). The fact that this person holds another raffle makes the previous raffle a burnout issue imo. I will have to agree with katdragonz for this unless the video got updated. She simply wants a "I'm sorry I can't do it" from that artist.
Personally, the second part of this video seems to be a rare Rev L. The overall point is that some people are sick and tired of people making promises they can't fulfill and then making excuses for it. As Kat points out, they're less concerned over not getting their free art as they are that this artist is doing this to paid clients as well and has a history of being shitty in this regard. Yes, there can be extenuating circumstances for some delays, but the artist is already known for being bad about this sort of thing, so it gets harder to believe them at this point.
Yeah Rev is kinda unnecessarily negative about katdragonz. She had all rights to be upset about that raffle, and the fault lies completely on the artist side. And she wasn't even really offensive about them, just posted info on what happened without calling them names or something like that. And i think it's always good to inform public about problems like that so they could avoid those problems themselves. Fo example if I ever wanted to commision something than I would avoid this artist.
yes, this is exactly what I was thinking, so I was confused on why they were acting like she was the bad guy here. Ofc it was unecessary to make a thread about it, but the artist literally held *another* raffle in that span of time and kept on making empty promises. And katdragonz wasn't even negative or mean about it. her logic was perfectly sound.
It's always funny to see people who actually pay for Kevin's ability satisfied with what they get, while people who didn't pay a dime tearing their heads like they are the one who pay.
especially since the thing they are calling out are used by way bigger ppl, yet no mention of them in her tweets, pretty much confirming that she jealous yet afraid to start shit with the right ppl lol
Who wanna bet she approached him with "Hey, I'm gonna be famous, so you should give me a discount" and he just went "nah, I do good work and I expect to be paid for it". Also, considering the industry, and how much scamming and mentally ill artists (i.e. some aren't intending to scam, they just break down and can't work, but they're stupid enough to accept commissions long after they built up a backlog), how can you complain about a model rigger that actually delivers? Just providing the product on time is enough to warrant at least 4/5 stars in itself.
If they are creating more and more art raffles before finishing the first one, that is an issue. I agree with the person complaining. If you offer a service, free or not and then go back on it due to some kind of mental problems, why would you start more raffles? I usually agree with your takes, but this was a shit take.
Henya is the only person I've heard complaining about Kevin's rigging, and only because he included an ahegao face for free that she happened to find during stream.
Nah thats more on henya issue. Mel asked her before stream to send a pic of the toggle which she gave to mel, started streaming and didnt turn off the toggle.
in defense of kevin, its well known he adds the ahegao toggle to all his models, Melody makes it her duty to warn everyone about it. henya just forgot to disable it, but she knew it was there.
Regarding the second situation with the free vtuber model. As far as I'm aware this is untrue. For one, it's not a call-out because they didn't mention the artist in the tweet. And their interactions with said artist happened over 5 months during which time said artist also started another raffle. That person simply vented on twitter and raised awareness because they got led on for a pretty significant period of time. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the situation went as presented.
no your right, reading the "long post" rev kinda glosses over, kat go into big detail that its the communication their upset over and the fact that paid clients are also getting this treatment. seems like rev needs to look more into it and make a follow up to correct his mistakes as he seems kinda biased in this one due to lack of info.
Yeah from what I was watching the person had very valid reasons and was never rude or anything, Although it's a Rev video, dude has a lot of terrible takes.
I think the callout for an artist is warranted, there is too many artists that do not deliver on paid artwork and it is ridicules, it would be not tolerated in any other business dealings. Try going to your boss saying you can't do much work this month because you have mental problems. Also ruffle or not is not an excuse, obligations are obligations, not even a curtesy to give an update your client.
I think in the second topic, the person who complained about it is right. Mental health is not an excuse to make promises and then not keep them then be right just because of it. The person at the other end should've communicated. I don't know how many people won the art raffle but It's dumb to me that they posted the update on their Discord but not to people who won personally. Also it being free doesn't mean she cannot complain because she basically engaged with their post in order to get it. I've also seen someone add that this isn't the first time this type of thing happening with that artist.
@@Person01234 Is the part you're talking about in the video or..? From what I can see in the video the last part she says the problem she has is not that it got cancelled but the lack of communication I agree with her. I'd like to know what you mean.
Katdragonz complaint seem pretty justified to me. The artist broke a golden rule of business by not properly communicating to her that her project had been canceled/push back.
For the second thing, I do think the whole "It's free art" excuse runs a bit dry after 3 months. NO commission should take that long, and while life can get in the way sometimes, of course, that should be communicated with your clients. Free or not, it's entirely reasonable for them to expect a). to see their completed art at some point in a VAGUELY reasonable amount of time, and b). to not be "new phone, who dis?"ed when they ask about it. Like, that's the thing to me. If you were really going through something, I kinda doubt you'd respond with something like "Hey, I forgot what I was doing for you lol". Just scroll up. It's extremely dishonest imo.
Rev also only had half the story here as well, this was split into 2 threads, in the second one she detailed the story going on for 5 months without any significant progress in which time this person started another raffle and also promised them they were working on their project. At the end after being ghosted a little bit it was the vtuber who again had to reach out to be told that the artist wasn't going to bother with finishing the giveaways. That at least was a resolution but it should not have been on the customer to be chasing this information out of them after 6 months of flip flopping. They didn't expose the person's identity, they were just complaining a bit, this narrative of "oh you're so entitled for being annoyed that this work you were promised was never done" is so bad and twitter brained. The prize was also for a vtuber model which is often not something people get done for sh*ts and giggles, they actually need it.
You clearly didnt get the entire story regarding katdragonz, very disappointing to see that you only did surface level research on this topic The artist is actually a scammer and engagement baiter. Katdragon NEVER name dropped, and was only kind towards the artist. But the artist presented herself in the thread. After that even more people came forward of the artists scam behaviour. If you are going to report on something, please read into it all and dont just surface level report It‘s disappointing to see coming from you
Wow Rev, normally I agree with most of your stuff but you REALLY got it wrong with the Katdragonz situation and probably should look into this more. It’s not the job of a client (even of free art) to have to prod to get updates on their art commissions from the artist. If the artist needs to delay or not complete a project, they need to say to the commissioner, not just publicly post about it. Especially when the artist keeps saying in DM’s “I’ll get to it” when she’s seeing public messages and trying to be helpful and give the artist plenty of outs to tell them privately that they cannot work on the commission or need to delay. The call out post wasn’t about “not getting free art” it was about bad communication and feeling more and more like they were being taken for a ride. When the person you commissioned keeps “going dark” and never gives any kind of updates except when you reach out, there is a problem. Also it sounds like there is actually more here and she did try to handle this privately but got nowhere so she’s going public now.
well the title of the post was literally "engagement bait raffles are messed up" i'm pretty sure it was about not getting free art, and she just said it was about communication at the end to make it look better
@@honey4760 from the look of it, it seems more like the entire thing was saying that communication was the problem and explaining the situation with the ultimate solution to not engage in “engagement bait raffles” as she felt like she was constantly lied to and not given the full picture despite asking for it multiple timeszz
@@honey4760 it was about the fact that the entire thing dragged on for 6 months, with the artist ghosting her or making vague promises and requiring her to actively ask them for more information. So nope, a lot of it was the lack of communication. *sure,* if you can't do it because of your mental health, *tell them.* don't flip flop for over 6 months about it while also hosting *another raffle.*
@honey4760 she's valid regardless. The art raffle was won. The artist ignored the winner. Then proceeded to ghost for months. artists do this so fking often it's not even funny. Be it with paid or free commissions. I've even had artists I've PAID to do a job and then ghost me for a month with terrible excuses just to deliver something I didn't even ask for. She had a right to be upset both about the lack of free art because she won something then wasn't told about it being canceled to the fact he strung her along like the fat chocobo being promised gyshal greens/cake that's dangling from a piece of string...

I will comment on the person upset about not getting updates about their art from the raffle. I actually understand their perspective. They won a raffle in January, then provided the information for it to get completed. Then about 3 weeks later (February) they ask if there is an update... and the person response with basically, 'what?' Comes across like the free art isn't even on the list of projects. Then the person continues responding like they have plans to work on projects, but this person's free raffle isn't even on the list. Then in March, they are sort of apologizing... and saying they will work on it, but no indication of actually starting or anything. So the person is basically saying they aren't expecting it. Realistically, by June the person shouldn't be using the direct examples to call the person out... just making a summary like what I just wrote would be better. But yeah, I've seen this. Where a newer artist does a few raffles, gets a few free clients... and then loses motivation to work because they have a heavy load and will get nothing for them. Or it does drum up paying customers, so the free stuff gets put on the back burner and never actually gets done. On the other end, there are those who are professional about it... keeping an organized project list, so they can know when a client (free or not) contacts them and where they are at on the list. Personally, if I won a raffle and was told 1-3 months, I would contact at 1 month. And if the response I got was, 'who? what project?' then I would just respond, 'don't worry about it', and maybe post a quick thing to my followers about how sometimes raffles for free art don't produce results... and leave it at that. I would at that point just expect to never see art from it... or if I do, it's just a nice bonus in 6-24 months.
Btw, in Gibby34340 reply section there's an account that actually called the moment that Henya accidentally turn on the ahegao toggle as Sexual Harrassment! (It's crazy!)
someone: *draws an anime girl normally without anything awful* s o m e vtubers: *cloaker noises but dont do any type of damage to people like the cloaker does and just hit them with nothing*
I'm gonna show teeth about the last one : "fragile mental health" artists should just fucking quit because they are rampant in the landscape of SM like twitter and for 1 angry public entitled "customer" of a freebie, there's probably 10 paid commissions that aren't fulfilled and are months late, from nobodies with zero reach who end up being blocked.
I am mostly looking at the vtubing community from the outside in and its so CRAZY! Still, I'm glad to know there are still sane people in it like you Rev and probably many others. Its unfortunate that this level of crazy is hitting the vtubing community which I initially found wholesome and something cute to watch (for the most part). Keep doing what you're doing!
Idk rev. The second one seems fair to me. When you do raffles you have to disciplined enough to provide the prize to the winner. This was once mocked here on youtube. Fake tesla give aways etc. shouldn't it be the same wether its art or not? The artist already gain clout from people joining the raffle, they should honor their end of the bargain. Also mental health seems to be a get out of jail free cards nowadays that people forgot to keep integrity in their works.
The R word whistle problem never made sense to me. I have one, so does my sister. I wouldve never known about them if a tiktoker hadnt said what they were. I think its a great idea to spread awareness of their exsistance so more people can buy them. It doesnt automatically mean its a kink to R word someone, it could be an awareness on other options for safety
It doesn't have to make sense, the in-group just has to say it bad "because idk r*, we just don't like this guy ok" and then all the people on twitter in that little circle will start just saying it.
I think we need to give that second VTuber the benefit of the doubt. They clearly stated that the problem wasn't free art but being strung along on a promise that couldn't be kept. They provided the artist many chances and outs to say "Yeah, I'm sorry, I don't think I can deliver." but instead they kept assuring them it would happen and blamed the raffle winner for their lack of direct communication. Going public with it was a dumb move, though. Still, you sorta dragged her through the mud here and even refused to read the post defending herself. You're better than that, Rev.
Bad take by Rev on the Katdragon stuff, missed a good half or more of the info. Artist gave off some serious weird vibes, since they kept changing their name/handle, ignoring dms, claiming messages they responded to didn't exist, screwing over paying clients, and then holding another 'free art' giveaway while still claiming they would do the previous one. Especially since through all of this, Katdragon didn't link or name the artist, the Artist QRT'd and said it was them and it wasn't until after the second giveaway the callout thread was posted. Which also didn't mention the artist by name.
I don't know Kardragon nor the artist, but I did feel like Rev glossed over a legitimate complain and reduce it to "mad she didn't get free art". That doesn't seem the issue, the issue is that the artist engaged themselves to do a rig, then seemingly drop it without directly informing her. When you cancel or push back something for a client, free or not, you need to tell them ASAP so they can plan around it. Failure to do so have consequence for them, often a financial lost. Because now they have to turn around, find someone else to do the rig and add the time it'll take to the time they waited on you, causing massive delay in their project. This kind of "free art" can become very expensive, very quickly. This artist seem like the kind of person I would never want to rely on...
8:44 rev are you sure you read the whole threat. if so why are you virtue signaling "you bully a mentally ill person* when the evidence provided in the thread paint a different picture
No S she found other people who had a similar problem with the artist, the person literally said "I cancelled and refunded my commissions" which clearly means that there was OTHER PEOPLE.
someone in the comments said it pretty clearly and i'll paraphrase, they come for him to work on their designs because they like his 'bouncy' style. they're happy with his work. thats the only people that can decide if they like his work or not..its the paying customers ..and they're lining up for it.

13:00 (roughly) Yes, it's free art, yes there is mental health involved, but this also a case of professionalism. They said they would create the piece, and offered it as a prize for the raffle. They then WHOMEGALUL'd the winner when contacted, and still didn't produce within 6 MONTHS, after at least somewhat, regular communication (at least according to what you showed in the video) This should be a callout imo. Yes, they are an artist. Doesn't give them the right to string others along, paid or not.
They literally refunded the people who actually paid for their work, like a proper professional should when they cannot meet what was originally agreed upon. But god forbid someone who got something completely for free doesn't receive it in a prompt and timely manner. Get off your high horse, they were kind enough to promise they'll still make that piece of art once they're back creating professionally.
@@SethAbercromby They did not communicate with the one who won about their mental status and cancelled it without telling her. Just because it's free doesn't mean you can cancel it at any time because you basically paid them with the post engagement. Mental health is not an excuse to make people wait for 6 months for nothing no one would have complained if the artist reached out to the winner personally about their mental health and not say " I said it in Discord " unprofessional asf and lazy.
@@SethAbercromby If you found out more about the story you would have found out that the artist ended up saying they weren't going to do it after all. Basically, the artist scammed them, and depending on what jurisdiction one lives in, that could be considered grounds for a lawsuit, regardless of whether it was paid or free. Rev gave WAY too little information about this topic, he should have done better research. Usually I'm totally on board with Rev on most stuff, but he screwed up here.
@@SethAbercromby Sorry, no. If they're not fulfilling their promise, they basically scammed many people into retweeting and subscribing to them for a fake raffle.
@@SethAbercromby That has nothing to do with it. There's no difference between a prize winner and a commissioner except that for the former there's nothing to refund. You still have to tell them you're cancelling. You still have to treat them with professionalism. As for the "promise", 5 - 6 months went by, at the end of which, after being ghosted a bit, again the vtuber reached out *again* and was told that the artist (after having done another raffle in the meantime btw) was just not going to complete their giveaways. This person is actually a vtuber, not just a vtweeter, so it's conceivable that a model upgrade is commercially relevant to them, it's not like they were necessarily just getting it done for the hell of it. I won't go along the lines of the other posts, noone was "scammed" and the artist has the right to cancel, but it's absolutely valid to be annoyed about this situation. Stop fetishizing "artists", it's a job, either do the job or tell the people involved that you can't do the job, sorry, move on. I believe them when they said they were having mental health issues and I don't "blame" them, but they should do better in the future. If this person's comments and tweets push this artist to be more mindful of communicating properly in the future then it's a net positive.
If you can't provide the reward, don't run the "contest." I don't care if it is free or not, they made a commitment and that should be honored. They got the benefit of running the contest in new subs or follows or w/e, now it's time to pay up.
Like no one is talking about this. They did it to get followers in exchange for a chance at getting art. If no one gets the art in the end, then they're not holding up their end of the bargain.
How do these people not realize that this is slander and can even be brought to court if the user wanted. And it’s arguably an easier case to win because proving damages is easier to visualize with the loss of followers and number of hate comments
yo thats a shit take on katdragonz.. that girl making vtubers is bloking ppl and making so many dif twiter accts ghosting ppl.. and kats didn't say there name and it's been 6 months. btw they started a new raffle after they changed there name on twiter a few days after they said there not going to be working
To be honest, as a person that does raffles, I also give 1-3 month turn in deadline, thing is to do that one thing takes me one single day, I cant give updates because obviously I prioritize my payed customers because I have to eat. But I had this guy that kept on texting me every single week, and I asked "are you worried about me not delivering" and said no I just want to be friends, then once delivered that person never messaged me again xD...It was annoying. Im sorry you have to wait for sooo long.
About that last one, with the free raffle... I think you had the wrong take on it. There's no problem with letting others know that an artist is unreliable, it doesn't matter if they're going through it. It's the artist's responsibility to maintain their workflow and progress, being depressed isn't an excuse. And from the sound of it, it sounds like they refunded a lot of work they had been hired to do. In her position, I would have finished everything on my plate before deciding that I quit, simply because there was an expectation that i would you know, do my fucking job. Making a career as an artist, motivation simply just doesn't matter. If you say you're going to do the work, you should do the work. And if you can't, be upfront about it, and don't beat around the bush.
Getting your prize annulled must be saddening. The artist should’ve at least compensated the girl monetarily as she stated to do with her commissions. Just dipping is going to upset anyone. But making a whole call out twit about it is crazy considering the artist’s mental state
reminder that: 1) opinions aren't just something dumb or controversial people say on the internet. Vtubers can have opinions too, just not the things I've mention above 2) the problems that rev is reporting are VTweeters making accusations, which is not an opinion (the "rigs that kaven make are sloppy" may be an opinion, but then it turned into "kevin is ped" which is an accusation.
To be clear for both people in the comments, the second person is actually a vtuber, not a vtweeter, and their complaint is actually very reasonable especially when you read the whole story (rev only had 1/2 threads here). I don't know about the first one but he/she's obviously a brain rotted individual either way.
Reminds me of how I paid a friend $400.00 for commissions, because he really wanted to buy this one starship model. Five years later, and I'm living with this friend. And it's still an issue. Much like me, this friend of mine has depression issues, so... eventually I just learned to ease off of him. If he never draws those pictures for me, then I'll let it go. It's not worth our friendship. Especially not now, since he took me in.
I sometimes watch Rev says desu after asmon watched a few videos of his. The topics vary and content is good and easy to consume. I don't watch much vtubers, but damn. I'm starting to think that this Kevin guy is one of the best vtube riggers out there. If I ever need a rigger I'm going for Kevin. Gigachad Kevin. Btw, if I don't get my free art. I had one bad occurence with free art, where i asked the artist 4 times over a year (once every 3 months) and they got overly angry that i'm poking them too often. All the while they kept doing more raffles and commissions. Honestly the only bad part about it was i won it on my birthday, so it just layered one on another.
Personally I understand both sides here, because yes mental health issues are a serious matter and of course consideration should be shown... however, as a professional artist you owe your customers, let it be the ones who commissioned you for free or for money, an explanation as to why you can not deliver your work. You don't even have to elaborate as to why exactly but simply checking in with ur customers even if its for a free art piece and telling them "hey I'm really sorry but I can't complete this piece of art due to personal reasons" would be enough. Expecting them to check your twitter or discord and even starting new art raffles before completing the prize for the one before simply shows a lack of professionalism which is why I do not think the VTuber is at fault here and you straight up ignoring her explanation of the only thing bothering her being the lack of COMMUNICATION is also not okay. Imo she stayed nice and considerate throughout the entire thing and I don't see anything wrong with wanting to inform others if an artist does not communicate or deliver work that had been promised because it is sad to say but there are a LOT of art scammers out there. Obviously not saying that it was the case with this particular one but even when struggling with mental health issues it is important to at least communicate with ur customers, paying or not, that atm you can not complete the commission instead of raising false hopes for months by saying things like "it's not ready yet but Ill get to it" As a professional artist, depending on ur TOS, it is very common to deliver weekly or at least monthly updates even if its just a "I couldn't get to your commission yet because of personal reasons". This Artist here was basically leading her on for months instead of simply telling her "hey I can't do this" with which clearly she would've been fine as we can see with the reaction she had after the artist simply telling her "I can not complete ur commission" and honestly as someone who has struggled with mental issues myself I think it should be do-able to, in a time span of 6 months, tell ur customer or winner or whatever that you can not complete their prize. Additionally I think when reporting on those things it is important to try and stay neutral in order to not cause any harm to either side, which by not even reading her comment and straight up ignoring the contents of it you almost seem to villainize the VTuber here.
I gotta say I don't understand what you're saying about Katdragonz. She's upset that an artist won't communicate about her project for almost 5 months? It seems like a reasonable thing to be upset about. Like Kirsche said, we need to start holding these artists who take projects and then never finish them accountable.
I recently followed Babyteeth she is a nice and sweet girl. It is the main reason why I pop in check what is going on. Jealousy really is ugly, and it seems that this artist was trying to get some kind of recognition. He/She should take a look at their art and try to improve it rather than trying to ruin others.
Calling out an artist online for doing the innocent crime of taking care of their mental health and making them deactivate, instead of talking to them in private is such a prime example of Twitter culture.
While I absolutely get that and understand Rev’s message, it looks like that artist has a history of doing that and then changing their name. Saw another post about it earlier, so in this instance I think Rev jumped the gun, and it’s a situation where both are being shitty. The vtuber shouldn’t be constantly be bugging an artist if they won something free, but artists shouldn’t be setting up raffles just for engagement farming and then making excuses when they aren’t actually delivering. Also, I may get hate for it, but as someone with my own mental issues, I’m a little tired of artists getting passes for taking on a buncha commissions, or raffles, or whatever, then when people actually want updates “oh I’m have a mental health episode”. If you know you get those kind of episodes, don’t make an overwhelming amount of promises or commissions. Remember everyone, “respect artists” is not the same as putting them on a pedestal.

@@Zavitor If artists can’t manage a workload and pull things like taking way too much time, or not doing what their customers want/slash getting upset when the vtuber asks for a detail to be added/changed, etc then they deserve to be called out. That’s exactly WHY there’s things like “beware of this artist” posts/accounts. They aren’t tragic artists like Van Gogh, they’re running a business. It’s not the fault of the person if idiots see that and decide to harass, you’re basically saying customers should just suck it up and deal with being screwed over, when assets cost a disturbing amount of money nowadays cause everyone thinks they’re gonna be working with the next Filian or Ironmouse It may not totally apply to this specific situation, but raffles for free art/models are generally because they want to get their art out to get business, not out of the good of their heart.

Perhaps Rev should look into this and do an update or 2nd video about it.
It's always funny to see people who actually pay for Kevin's ability satisfied with what they get, while people who didn't pay a dime tearing their heads like they are the one who pay.
how delusional are they to say "it's not about you" to the vtuber when they qrt criticizing their showcase.

Which is some of the funniest shit around
Who wanna bet she approached him with "Hey, I'm gonna be famous, so you should give me a discount" and he just went "nah, I do good work and I expect to be paid for it". Also, considering the industry, and how much scamming and mentally ill artists (i.e. some aren't intending to scam, they just break down and can't work, but they're stupid enough to accept commissions long after they built up a backlog), how can you complain about a model rigger that actually delivers? Just providing the product on time is enough to warrant at least 4/5 stars in itself.
“Any ways muted” is usually the first cowardly step toward “This Account if Protected”
If they are creating more and more art raffles before finishing the first one, that is an issue. I agree with the person complaining. If you offer a service, free or not and then go back on it due to some kind of mental problems, why would you start more raffles? I usually agree with your takes, but this was a shit take.
ui-chan's video is at 98 million, I am so proud of my little sister 😭😭😭😭😭

Yeah rare Rev L on the second part.
no your right, reading the "long post" rev kinda glosses over, kat go into big detail that its the communication their upset over and the fact that paid clients are also getting this treatment.
seems like rev needs to look more into it and make a follow up to correct his mistakes as he seems kinda biased in this one due to lack of info.
Yeah from what I was watching the person had very valid reasons and was never rude or anything, Although it's a Rev video, dude has a lot of terrible takes.
Hey! It’s Kevin! We love Kevin! Such a talented rigger
Nor was it the last per the second thread by this vtuber (this story was split into 2 threads).
@@Person01234 Is the part you're talking about in the video or..? From what I can see in the video the last part she says the problem she has is not that it got cancelled but the lack

@@Hlnch_ No, rev missed half the story, it was continued in another thread.
@@Person01234 ohhh I see thank you.
@@Person01234 yeah I mean just looking at the screenshots she was WAY more patient than I would have been lol

Sounds like Orenda tried to hire Kevin and he said nope. So she's pissed and is trying to get back at him for it.

They then WHOMEGALUL'd the winner when contacted, and still didn't produce within 6 MONTHS, after at least somewhat, regular communication (at least according to what you showed in the video)
This should be a callout imo.
6:14 her tweets show how “professional” she is, I wonder who will want to work with someone on this level of “professional”
He’s saying this information from the Himalayas.
My dumb self thought she was accusing Kevin of stealing someone else's works when they called it copy and paste. 💀
Oh no, someone's work is similar to their previous work. How horrible!
To be fair, whether you've got an innie or an outie.
Once you've seen one belly button, you've seen them all. 👀
Always the ones you've never heard before...
If you can't provide the reward, don't run the "contest."
I don't care if it is free or not, they made a commitment and that should be honored.
They got the benefit of running the contest in new subs or follows or w/e, now it's time to pay up.
Like no one is talking about this. They did it to get followers in exchange for a chance at getting art. If no one gets the art in the end, then they're not holding up their end of the bargain.
Being jealous bring you your own downfall smh
How do these people not realize that this is slander and can even be brought to court if the user wanted. And it’s arguably an easier case to win because proving damages is easier to visualize with the loss of followers and number of hate comments
yo thats a shit take on katdragonz.. that girl making vtubers is bloking ppl and making so many dif twiter accts ghosting ppl.. and kats didn't say there name and it's been 6 months. btw they started a new raffle after they changed there name on twiter a few days after they said there not going to be working
I won a raffle for free art and I’ve still been waiting on that shit 4 years later!
Don’t cast stones if you live in a glass house.
The fake concern immediately followed by debt collection makes me sick. Pure evil
7:17 this aged badly
(elon musk deleted public likes from twitter)
Jealousy often leads people to make irrational decisions, and they don’t think about the consequences
Getting your prize annulled must be saddening. The artist should’ve at least compensated the girl monetarily as she stated to do with her commissions. Just dipping is going to upset anyone. But making a whole call out twit about it is crazy considering the artist’s mental state
Vtubers has started forgetting that their job is entertainment not having opinions
reminder that:
1) opinions aren't just something dumb or controversial people say on the internet. Vtubers can have opinions too, just not the things I've mention above
2) the problems that rev is reporting are VTweeters making accusations, which is not an opinion (the "rigs that kaven make are sloppy" may be an opinion, but then it turned into "kevin is ped" which is an accusation.
That's because these people aren't Vtubers to begin with.
To be clear for both people in the comments, the second person is actually a vtuber, not a vtweeter, and their complaint is actually very reasonable especially when you read the whole story (rev only had 1/2 threads here). I don't know about the first one but he/she's obviously a brain rotted individual either way.
@@MangInutil smh, no.
jealousy is a hell of a drug. the better you are at something??/ the more haters come out the woodwork ..
The irony that he was exposed for using rig templates for almost all his rigs
Y'all remember that one time in a video where a PRE-DEBUT VTuber was accusing someone of something? man..
Wait Bao and Lucy made a cover song i did not know that
I sometimes watch Rev says desu after asmon watched a few videos of his.
Imma mald on twitter like a baby :)
Thse are the same people who call people " pedo " over fictional characters like if you look at non realistic art of a anime girl and your mind goes to real children naked then there's something wrong with you not the person who likes the fictional character who's able to disguise between irl and fiction
I still don't understand how a png can upset these people a thing which NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO CANNOT COME TO LIFE , and calling people pedophile over it ngl nowdays I see people calling pedophile and just ignore ik it's not good and there's maybe a real victim but these people used a serious word like this sm that idk if they upset about a anime girl or boy or real victim.
I had one bad occurence with free art, where i asked the artist 4 times over a year (once every 3 months) and they got overly angry that i'm poking them too often. All the while they kept doing more raffles and commissions.
Honestly the only bad part about it was i won it on my birthday, so it just layered one on another.
Like remember people who yell pedophile which they offended over fictional content? Those people are the ones you should avoid.
Obviously not saying that it was the case with this particular one but even when struggling with mental health issues it is important to at least communicate with ur customers, paying or not, that atm you can not complete the commission instead of raising false hopes for months by saying things like "it's not ready yet but Ill get to it"
As a professional artist, depending on ur TOS, it is very common to deliver weekly or at least monthly updates even if its just a "I couldn't get to your commission yet because of personal reasons".
Congrats to Babyteeth for defending KevinX from a cyberbully weirdo.
The fact that they are slandering not only Kevin, but all of his clients. The audacity is crazy
I gotta say I don't understand what you're saying about Katdragonz. She's upset that an artist won't communicate about her project for almost 5 months? It seems like a reasonable thing to be upset about. Like Kirsche said, we need to start holding these artists who take projects and then never finish them accountable.
Twitter is legit hell
I recently followed Babyteeth she is a nice and sweet girl. It is the main reason why I pop in check what is going on. Jealousy really is ugly, and it seems that this artist was trying to get some kind of recognition. He/She should take a look at their art and try to improve it rather than trying to ruin others.
Also, Kevin is the one who gave 'that' toggle to henya model..😂😂
How much you wanna bet she's just running her mouth cuz she wanted to commission him but couldn't
“So starting off here…” and then the big wall of “You’re blocked” absolutely killed me
Calling out an artist online for doing the innocent crime of taking care of their mental health and making them deactivate, instead of talking to them in private is such a prime example of Twitter culture.
@@RaccAttack77The problem lies in where we draw the line between calling somebody's actions out when they begin displaying these practices and excessive attacks that spill into harassment?
Breh seems like tubers are way to quick to say they can't do something because of there mental health, I wonder what there boss would say about that if they said they couldn't work because of stress
@@buddah3414 Honestly I’ve noticed it happen more with artists over vtubers. Quite a lot are like “I’m a tragic artiste” instead of being professional and being like “Alright, I’m trying to run a business” cause that whole “I wonder what their boss would think” applies to them way more
@@Zavitor If artists can’t manage a workload and pull things like taking way too much time, or not doing what their customers want/slash getting upset when the vtuber asks for a detail to be added/changed, etc then they deserve to be called out. That’s exactly WHY there’s things like “beware of this artist” posts/accounts. They aren’t tragic artists like Van Gogh, they’re running a business.
It’s not the fault of the person if idiots see that and decide to harass, you’re basically saying customers should just suck it up and deal with being screwed over, when assets cost a disturbing amount of money nowadays cause everyone thinks they’re gonna be working with the next Filian or Ironmouse
It may not totally apply to this specific situation, but raffles for free art/models are generally because they want to get their art out to get business, not out of the good of their heart.
You know every time I watch your videos I’m thinking in the middle of it and at the end of it I’m really glad I’m off Twitter.
Kevin is the GOAT.
All my homies appreciate Kevin.

"No no, I don't want to send hate towards this artist, mental health is super important, unless its not convenient for me
"
using template is not a sin tho.... people really just want to hate everything and wakes up in the morning with fury..
8:37 There's no name calling, there's no slander. "There's no crying in baseball!"
6:10 those two statements have nothing to do with each other, dude is yapping to try and cancel Kevin and cannot even backup their statement with opinions about his work. Just “it’s dogs***” 😂😭
i agree on the first half of the vid but the second is just stupid, she has every right to call out someone who cannot message someone personally saying smth like "hey a little update, my mental health has been draining lately so i decided to take a break, i hope u understand, ill get to ur art asap" like communication isnt hard babes, i also had to cancel some art coms due to stress but i always let the buyers know and not post on social media where they might not see it, yes she did see the person who did the raffle post vents or smth bcs they prob were checking for updates or smth, dont expect someone to stalk ur page 24/7 ffs, aka the second part of the vid is jst useless and pointless.
they dont care about the rigs they just hate kevin because of the whistle asset and all the other stuff like marin model. but he's so fking based actually.
my god, I went into the video ready to see the gossip and I got scared when I heard the voice LOL, really great video!
Rev with the second part you might need to look more into it.
6:04 He's basically calling all Vtubers PDFile because Kevin whistle asset.
this did NOT age well
That first one was a state of delusion fr, worse than my manic episodes. The second one was understandable though from a client-to-artist perspective. So that was a bit of an L take ngl, especially from the extra context of which I've read below.
rare rev L here, 1st part of the video yeah def deserved but 2nd needed more research, this artist has history of doing this
thank you for the publicity on Kevin, Rev. i wanted to know who was the maker behind those Vtuber ( like mata or Zen ) , and now that i know, a small personal fun project might be in the making!
