This was my first attempt at anything other than a blanket or beanie and I'm pleased to say that my dog sweater came out great! This was easy to follow, only had a couple hiccups along the way, but otherwise it was smooth sailing. This pattern worked out great for my chihuahua mix who is about 10 pounds.
I've tweaked this pattern twice now with ease. Thank you! Absolutely love that it works in the round and that I'm able to simply increase the stitch count to make a size up for my Chiweenie. Thank you thank you!
Beautiful, thank you so much for sharing your magnificent dog sweater pattern. I am following your video making one in bright variegated 4 ply yarn. Thank you for all that you do.🥰😘🌹💐🌺🙋🏽♀️
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you're enjoying the dog sweater pattern and that you're making it in such a vibrant yarn. I appreciate your support and encouragement. Happy crafting, and I know that your dog will look adorable in the finished sweater!😍🩵🤎✨
Love your tutorials! Very easy to follow! I made both sweater and hat but way too small for my shihtzu/ bischon mix. How do I make pattern bigger size? I know to make the ring bigger but the increased stitches had me stumped
Beautiful!! I made some modifications because my dog is smaller (not so many inc), and it turned out really really good!! Super easy to follow your instructions, thank you 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hi Chiara, would you mind posting what you did for smaller exactly with stitch numbers etc.? I have a few ShihTzu s a tiny bit different in sizes. TIA!
Rnd means that you are going to crochet all the way around in circles ⭕️and close it with a slip stitch to the 1st stitch in the beginning. Whereas, Row means that you are not going to close it with a slip stitch to the 1st stitch, but, instead you are going to turn each time in a different direction when doing a Row. You are now working with a Row (turning into a different direction) that says “sc 36 “ and then “turn your work”. So you are basically just going to sc 36 and then turn your work to continue to crochet on the 36 single crochets you just made, making it a Row. Hope this helps 🐾
Can someone please explain row 8. I don't have enough stitches to do 8dc, 1 inc, plus 9dc, 1 inc 4times. If I do them both 2 times each to get 4 in total I have stitches left over. Not sure how to do it the correct way.
Cotton or acrylic yarn are both great, but I especially like using a cotton combination yarn. Cotton yarn does not fuzz that much up after a while of use like the acrylic type of one.
Please a have a question 🙋🏻♀️ can I make this pattern but using the crossed double crochet stitch from the orange bigger size of sweater you did before …? I love that video but the size of it is too big for my dog..and this pattern is exactly her measurements…thank you for sharing this super cute projects 👍🏼💕😊
Hi both of the two patterns is the same size. It is just this pattern I measured the neck collar and widest part of sweater in width. But the crossed double crochet stitch one I measured the collar and the widest part of the sweater (the chest) in circumference. So both of the two patterns is the same size, but just were measured differently :)
I've had to custom fit mine to my pug, I've just got to round 27, do i line up with the inside of the leg hole or the outside of the leg holes to make the to part of the sweater?
@kym-marie7009 You do 2 decreases. You have to do it at the sides. Begin with a decrease and end with a decrease. By doing it so, it would form the edges more nicely 😁
So first you start with a ch 2 (ch 2 counts as a dc), dc 8, then inc 1 ( increase = 2 sts into the same place) into the next st, then repeat by dc 9 and inc 1 into the next stitch with a total of 4 times ( x4 ), sl st 1 into the 2nd ch I Hope this will help :)
So when you have finished with a round you do a sl st into the next stitch. Then starting with a new round you ch 1, then into the same place where you made the sl st, you are going to place the sc/dc into that same place/stitch. :)
Great pattern but it is easier when we have voice explanations in the same time to understand :)
Yeah
I made it mam Thank you so much!! My shih tzu is looking so cute ❤❤
I completely agree with you.

Mine is about 5, do you think it will fit mine?
I think it might. But that 5 pound difference could mean it'll be loose depending on the build of your dog.@@shaniceleader2539
this is such an amazing tutorial that's easy to follow and easy to alter size thank you so much!!
I've tweaked this pattern twice now with ease. Thank you! Absolutely love that it works in the round and that I'm able to simply increase the stitch count to make a size up for my Chiweenie. Thank you thank you!

How do you double crochet 8 and increase by 1
It was so a great tutorial. I crochet a size little bigger than this .... amazing ❤️
✨🫶🏻
hii, can you tell me how to crochet a bigger size?
Hello ! How to increase size for medium dogs ? By the way already made this for a small dog and it fits well. Thank you

I want to make hoodie also for my Shih Tzu
Why dont you finish it all the way til the end
This is a great tutorial. Thank you so much for making this!
😉
What about medium size pls
Please I have a question
In row 27 when you say "sc 36, turn your work [37] what do you mean
Same thing for row 28
Rnd means that you are going to crochet all the way around in circles ⭕️and close it with a slip stitch to the 1st stitch in the beginning. Whereas, Row means that you are not going to close it with a slip stitch to the 1st stitch, but, instead you are going to turn each time in a different direction when doing a Row.

@Crochet It Please thank you this helped a lot
I love this pattern.♥️

What type of yarn would you recommend? Acrylic, cotton, etc?
Cotton or acrylic yarn are both great, but I especially like using a cotton combination yarn. Cotton yarn does not fuzz that much up after a while of use like the acrylic type of one.

You line it up with the outside of the leg holes☺️
Thank you so much. How many shall I decrease in each round?
And does it matter where i place the decrease in the round?
@kym-marie7009 You do 2 decreases. You have to do it at the sides. Begin with a decrease and end with a decrease. By doing it so, it would form the edges more nicely 😁
Me gustaría el tutorial con su traducción al español, gracias
May be better to have pattern write as description
Will this work for a dachshund
I just made the sweater and it fits my pupper perfectly, but I didn't see how to make the hat. Is there a separate video for that?
Yes. There is a separate video tutorial for the hat 👒
How would I size this up for my standard poodle?
Is there a larger pattern available
amazing tutorial! so easy to follow, great stuff :)
Do you have a written pattern of it?
No sorry✨
@@crochetit ah thanks
Hi, may I ask how much grams of yarn you used? thank you ❤
I used some wear between 60-70g of yarn.
@@crochetit thank you🩵
What does inc 1 mean?
Inc 1 means to place 2 stitches into the same place/stitch :)
U only used the 50g of yarn for the whole project?
I used some where between 60g to 70g of yarn
Do you have the written pattern I would love to make that sweater but in a different size
Hi, sorry I don’t have it in a written pattern and I only have it in one size
Please can you send me the pattern
Buona sera si potrebbe avere lo schema grazie
In Rd 8, do you increase in the 8th st or the 9th st?
So first you start with a ch 2 (ch 2 counts as a dc), dc 8, then inc 1 ( increase = 2 sts into the same place) into the next st, then repeat by dc 9 and inc 1 into the next stitch with a total of 4 times ( x4 ), sl st 1 into the 2nd ch
I Hope this will help :)
Thank you!
S il vous plaît en français pour moi se serai mieux je vous remercie d avance
What kind of dog dog you have?
She’s a Morkie (Yorkie and a Maltese Poodle mix
I love your work, but i have a question, in the row 27 the part where you ch1 then "sc in the same place as the slst?" I dont get that part :(
So when you have finished with a round you do a sl st into the next stitch. Then starting with a new round you ch 1, then into the same place where you made the sl st, you are going to place the sc/dc into that same place/stitch. :)
Thank you, this is amazing pattern made it
How much gram did you spent
Hii did you make it? let me know how many grams you used and what type of dog you have
Made this . And i use less than 100grams of mc yarn
how much do your dog weight?
4,9kg
@@crochetit thanks
Which breed is your dog ? ❤
Yorkie crossed with a Maltese poodle = Morkie
what is inc 1
Inc 1 means to crochet to stitches into the same place.
Thank u
And in row 8 dc 8 or 9 first
14:38
Music is distracted.
What is dec
dec = decrease (crochet 2 stitches together)☺️
Going way way too fast for people to learn and using way too thin yarn to even see
