George and Lance go toe to toe at the PatronFifty. After the Tour de France wrapped in 2019 the old friends and longtime teammates raced one on one on the AspenFifty course.

...this reminds me of a mt bike race i did in Alpine NJ where i also got 2nd place to George after he went past me near the finish then i had his wheel and felt like i could sit on him all the way up to the line and at least give him a good race for it at the end... ...but he just stood up on the pedals with a few bends to go on the single track and powered away from me up ahead outta sight and when i saw him standing comfortably at the finish he gave me that same smile like it was so easy for him and i had never had any chance.. Cant remember the exact yr it was but i recall he had just signed a Pro contract with Motorola at the time..
Hey Lance, do a video on the comments from the Giro director. What do you think about having a 200 mile stage in the rain over areas prone to landslides?
Lance was totally soft pedaling. It looked like he was taking a cell call and doing some biz in the last 2 Ks. -- Is there a video of their first race?
That looked more like CX or Gravel bike terrain. No? (Filming MTB’ing isn’t easy) At least LA was on a hard tail. I think The Move launched LA comeback! ✊
Yeah, and George a FS ..climbing advantage Lance for sure with that bike. From what I could tell from looking at the course, my gravel bike with a Cascade dropper post & shockstop stem would have been faster though :)
