Umm look, I get its a show and they have some really good moments, but overall Phil was a pretty bad husband to Claire, jay was emotionally absent from his kids, he showed moments of racism towards gloria and Manny and was openly homophobic to Mitchel.
@@lexiright5609I think you are exaggerating with “pretty bad”, because sure, he is not the ideal dad and he had a lot of flaws but he loved his family and did everything for them, like every character in the show. They all had their problems but their love and will to improve for each other is what makes the show pretty good, in my opinion
@@marcusmiro2171 Phil was constantly hitting on gloria and other women, we definitely can't forget that "I understand what they mean when they say pregnant woman glow" comment. He also fit into that 'the husband is another child' stereotype, we know that Claire was the one who did most of the work around the house even after she went back to work. You can like the characters all you want, but calling them 'green flags' ignores a good chunk of their character
