That's a gnarly tunnel entrance. Really impressed with the brick work. Craftsman were so much more deliberate back in those days. Awesome video with a great crew of TH-camrs! Gotta be careful in those places where you can't see your next step... Hey Cliff that took alot to go out into that water, very impressed with your courage and dedication to documenting this amazing location...
Now that was cool! They don’t make things like that anymore, I’ve been waiting for this one since you posted it on Facebook and it didn’t disappoint. As always great work Cliff!
So glad you turned around Cliff, as you said common sense is best. If we picture a huge steam locomotive back in the tunnel we could see that the water would be half way up it. That water was deep back there for sure.🛥🚤
You’re in the Gunks; I think the correct pronunciation is “shawngunks”. Minnewaska has some nice trails and waterfalls. Was an old resort back in the day. Stay safe.
well, sir, that IS THE BEST, AND ADVENTUROUS tunnel exploration i have seen in a while. KInd of risky, but I was hoping to see a goblin or a dwarf or a Basilisk.
That was excellent. My tummy was knotting up and I kept thinking please turn and thankfully you did. Beautiful tunnel and all that ice looked great. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
The Shawangunk Ridge that the tunnel goes through is the same ridge as your Blue Ridge in PA. Near the tunnel is the remains of the D&H (Delaware and Hudson) Canal, that went from Honesdale, PA, to Rondout, NY. The highest elevation was at nearby Summitville, NY. Coal transport. Great stuff!
Cliff, Seeing that old rail line telephone booth reminds me of one pushed into an empty canal . I can't remember if it was one of yours or JPVideos . Cheers, Rik Spector

Great choice Kathy! This is so cool.
I’m definitely bringing my yak here with some lights this summer, just hope those yappers aren’t there lol
Don’t think you can get through the tunnel. Some of it is collapsed inside I believe.
Impressive build quality for that structure.Interesting pool of water.
Cheers Cliff! Hope you had a great holiday season!!!!
Wow! Cool tunnel! Kayaking through there would be really fun on a hot day. 😉 Thanks for sharing!

Dang,,, you need a rowboat for that tunnel !
Excellent video and adventure, TWW! Seeing it from your POV while you were in the water, yikes.
That was awesome!!❤❤ It would be great fun to take a canoe or kayak through it. Anxiously waiting for the next. ❤❤❤
