opera 2 isn’t a song, it’s HIS SONG
Yeah, this is a Vitas's song originally. Dimash just covered it on the Singer, except Dimash added extra vocal modulation to his version.
Really? I didn't know Dimash was the cover, Vitas is amazing!
@@GOTGames well Vitas did not like Dimash covering his song. After that episode aired, Dimash got a letter from Vitas' lawyers forbidding him from ever singing any of his songs. There's probably more to that story, but we are just normal people here and can only find what's listed on the internet. And i take what's on the internet with a grain of salt.

@ Simona Dorge...Dimash was assigned the song. It was up to the producer's of The Singer show to obtain copyright permission. Pretty sure Vitas wouldn't have a problem if Dimash hadn't gone higher and better.

В каждом отрезке времени свои герои. О феномене VITASа узнали на территории бывшего СССР в 2000 году. И это для многих было культурным шоком. Он первым начал сочетать в своих песнях поп.музыку и оперу. Это было что-то совершенно новое, другое и нереальное. Может кто-то из певцов и умел так петь, но никто не использовал эти приемы в своих песнях. VITAS был первым. Это был его неповторимый стиль пения. Одни любили, другие ненавидели. Как только его не называли "сирена VITAS", после выхода на экраны клипа на песню Оpera 2 "ихтиандр", "дельфин" "звездный мальчик","инопланетный друг".
Оpera 2 - В этом году у песни ЮБИЛЕЙ -30 лет!
Эту песню VITAS написал когда ему было 14 лет. Именно эта песня стала визитной карточкой певца, началом его популярности, первой ступенькой его творческого роста от России до Китая. У него особое отношение к этой песне, более глубокое и личное, как и к песне "МАМА".
Знаю,что фанаты DIMASHа не любят VITASа из-за конфликта 2017 года. Этот конфликт неприятно затронул чувства и певцов и их фанатов. И то что я сейчас напишу не понравится Diars. Творчество VITASа во многом повлияло на творчество DIMASHа. DIMASH вырос на песнях VITASа. В их стиле исполнения много общего. Даже тот факт, у них один кумир - Майкл Джексон.
VITAS и DIMASH два алмаза, которые выращивались в разное время и в разной среде.
1996 год.(лихие бандитские 90-е).Украина, г. Одесса после развала СССР нищая страна и нищий народ. Начинающий продюсер Сергей Пудовкин, который искал юные таланты, увозит 17 летнего парнишку Виталия Грачева (VITASа) в другую страну Россию( где экономическая ситуация немного лучше). VITAS уезжает без финансовой помощи единственных родных людей - мамы и дедушки, которые смогли дать ему в дорогу только свою любовь.
2001 год. VITASу 22 года. Умирает его мама. В 2002 году он пишет песню "МАМА".Она стала еще одной главной песней его жизни. VITAS кардинально меняет свой сценический образ . Все его инопланетные костюмы ушли в шкаф, а на их смену пришли элегантные костюмы и более глубокий смысл песен. Песня "МАМА" - в вокальном исполнении ничего особенного, но она ценна в эмоциональном плане. Где бы VITAS ее не исполнял, эта песня заставляет всех людей аплодировать стоя со слезами на глазах.

VITAS, неверное первый и единственный русскоязычный певец, который имел такой большой успех в Китае. Его концерты собирали стадионы до 70 тысяч человек. Китайские фанаты учили русский язык, что бы петь его песни, лепили скульптуры в его честь. В благодарность фанатам VITAS включил в свой репертуар 2 песни на китайском языке: "Тибетское плато" и "Течет река". Об этом могут лучше рассказать китайские фанаты.
У VITASа нет вокального музыкального образования. И это самый большой минус в его творчестве. Много песен написал сам, много песен где он автор текстов, в других - композитор. Все свои сценические образы и костюмы он придумал сам. Вот сейчас подумалось, если бы VITAS получил вокальное образование и была бы поддержка семьи, страны .... какого певца мы бы увидели на сцене ?.... Но даже и без этого Эпоха VITASа достойна внимания.

Vitas wrote this dong as a young boy. He is originally from Latvia, and now resides in Russia. Vitas is an incredibly gifted vocalist, and composer. He is loved by Russians and everywhere and also in China. He is operatically trained, and pitch perfect. HIs name is pronounced Veet-us. Dimash covered this song written by Vitas some 14yrs later. Try 'Dedication', a song he wrote for his late mother whom he was very close to. It will blow your mind :)

I much prefer the original personally. Not denying the insane talent that Dimash has, I just don't find the tone he generally goes for to be pleasant to the ears.
Dimash didn't promote this song to another level. You should listen to the new version by vitas in 2020. No one can cover that version, including Dimash.

Their song Blind and Frozen is often recommended as a first song because of how well it shows off his range, but he's also done a solo vocal cover of Ghost Love Score that I personally think rivals Floor's voice.

I'm not an authority on this matter, but as I understand it, this song, Opera 2, was written specifically for Vitas. It seems he has been performing this piece for years now, it is his "Signature" piece.
I've been told that Mr. Vitas was not pleased when some unknown, cocky, young upstart, went on a TV talent show and did a better job with it.
In my opinion, Dimash has a more impressive range.
I didn't realise there were issues between the two... I don't know Vitas yet but I love Dimash ❤️
Vitas never minded Dimash singing the song. He has always admired people who cover his songs, and has praised them, Dimash included.
The story was that Vitas' producer sued the TV show on which Dimash sang Opera 2 because they did not ask permission or acquire a license for Dimash to cover it.
It's crazy that nobody knows dimash just tours around the world singing other people music...

I believe that when he performs the very high parts, it's a recording. I'm not saying that it's not him, but when you sing a vibrato, your adams apple moves in order to produce the vibrato. But if you look closely at his throat, there's no movement. Hence that leads me to believe that it's a recording and not live.
If you want to react to him, I recommend Skyfall from Adele. It is absolutely incredible. And for this song, Opera 2, you should watch the new version in 2020, it is even more crazy!

Vitas [Vee TOSS] is a famous Russian pop singer. He's the original artist; Dimash covered the song without permission, and Vitas threatened him with legal action if DImash ever performed the song again without permission.

@@at_oussama This is up to the Singer show to take care of this and they should have taken an issue with them (although all contests are the same, everybody sing covers and usually nobody has issues with that), while they attacked Dimash personally. Very clear why too.

I heard that Vitas lip synced this song; I'd like people to comment if this is true. I like Dimash's version so much more. Vitas is more of a showman.
I don't think Vitas has ever sung live..at least not the high notes.

pre recorded lip synced performance (same exact audio from the video) but he DID sing the original track and IS in fact an extremely talented vocalist. Just a shame he does the usual pop star thing and lip syncs live. (Not always. Just all the big performances)
