I've played all the original Naughty Dog Crash games, including CTR. However, I've never played Warped and I've wanted to so bad! I have Crash 2 and 4, but 2 is really easy and Cortex has a shitty boss fight, and my copy of TWOC is all scratched up. Now this game takes the cake! This boss is the best in the series, the game's level's music is ethnic, that's a big difference from the Crash style of music but i do like a few like China, Egypt, Medeivl, and the Future, the bosses like N.Gin and N.Tropy kick ass and are challenging, they have awesome theme songs. I NEED TO FIND A COPY OF THIS GAME!!!! :-D
I like it when they create an explosion from all that spiritual mask energy gathered and pulled in to one spot. If it burns it is best not to touch it.
It's a great fight, too bad there's nothing extra in 2nd figth vs Cortex. Both from a story perspective and gameplay wise it would make sense to have a harder boss fight. After all Cortex should be smart enough not to try the exact same thing he failed with already, and gameplay wise we have 1 more powerup since the last time, and getting all the gems and relics probably makes the player more skilled too. Would be amazing if the remake spiced up the 2nd fight somehow.
Hey guys how events in CB 2 took year after 1-st one, and CB1 came out after 2-nd in year after, so we knows how much time N Tropy, N Cortex & Uka Uka were caged in that dimension.

If you think about it, this ending is... kinda dark. The timetwister basically forms a black hole, sucking everything in as Cortex & Uka Uka(and N. Tropy for some reason) get sucked with it into the past for quite some time, until the events of Crash 4 begin.
And basically It's About Time is just Wrath of Cortex's linear hallway platforming level gameplay but with new masks that help you, dimension hopping, and with cameos with characters from Crash games that released in between the timespan of after Warped's release and before It's About Time's release when you think about it.

CTR is within the Naughty Dog canon of course (one of my favorite games) but I always considered it a conceptually separate universe from how the first 3 games lead into one another. That's not to say that CTR's story isn't the last official time they met. It's just in a parallel scenario.

Fan theory: This is when the Crash multiverse was created, it was confirmed that all Crash Bandicoot games are canon, it's just that not all of them happened on the same timeline, but this is when all the alternate timelines started. Crash from Twinsanity, Crash from Titans, Crash from Skylanders, and maybe even Crash from Crash 4, are not the same Crash from the original trilogy, maybe the remastered trilogy is also a different timeline from the original trilogy.
You're right. This was the first time when game creators started to think about alternate universes and in the upcoming years the gonna bring back those ideas that was waiting in their vault to made more games... of course we had some mashups previous years but true potential awaits to be revealed.

I know I’m 6 years late but in order to get the best ending, not only do you need all the crystals, but you have to get all the gems and at least one relic in every level in the game. Then fight cortex once more and this will result of it all.
