I think you all had a lot of good points and people are definitely freaking out way too much. I do think that your conversation was a little too focused on winning/losing and how much Kano is or is not winning. Maybe other people don't have this experience, but my experience with Kano has been they take a large majority of the game time. I hear a lot of people say "They take all their time at once" but that hasn't been my experience. I spend most of the game playing my turn out very quickly and then waiting on my Kano opponent who is taking more time than I am each turn deciding on whether to block or activate Kano and play something. Then after all of that there is an inevitable end of game scenario where who cares if I have the ab/oasis at the right time, if the Kano misplayed in someway, or if they blow me up through good planning and execution. I have to sit there for usually for 5+ minutes while they work through things. So in the end I don't care if I won or lost. I care that during all of that time I had little to no interaction with my opponent while they played solitaire and used up way more of the clock on solitaire than I did playing flesh and blood. I actually don't mind this at the current amount I see it. Kano isn't a deck a ton of people play so having it happen once and a while is fine. If I showed up and it was always back to back Kano games even if I won the majority of them. I'd probably just stop playing until that changed it wouldn't feel like a fun use of my time. I get that at higher level events this probably is not a problem cause judges could be called for slow play but at your local Armory/RTN/PQ that just feels like a rude thing you don't want to do.

46:10 combo isn't the issue for the player experience. Combo should exist in the game in some capacity to punish fatigue. Its something less tangible like you don't feel like you got to play the game or that your decisions didn't matter. Kano can very easily "oops your dead" where boltyn can't do that plus boltyn is much easier to interact with and disrupt.
I hate playing against Prism, Awakener of Sol but I love how she can turn the tide of battle in her favor while she’s at 2 life and I’m at 38 and wreck me completely with an Arc Light Sentinel Loop. It’s truly impressive! I didn’t lose that game because I was able to walk away learning something! Destroy Genesis on sight!
I HATE PLAYING AGAINST KANO BECAUSE SO FAR I HAVEN'T BOUGHT IN AND I'M PLAYING SOLELY ON TALISHAR AND THE CONSTANT PRIORITY PASSING IS CRAZY TO ME. But FR, I have a lot of respect to anyone who would go to Talishar to practice Kano because the spacebar-pressing sim that that turns into *all* to get a few more reps in is genuinely impressive and I look up to that dedication!
I hate playing against Azalea but she's absolutely got some of the most dedicated fan base and I'm glad she's finally able to put up some wins for those that love her.
My least favorite hero is Dromai. I don’t like anything about her or anything she does but my buddy is super into dragons so I got him to play the game on the promise that he could summon dragons (and now I hate playing against him because he only plays Dromai but what are you gonna do)
I hate playing against Dash IO exclusively because on of my locals plays it but i always lose with a smile on my face because i lose myself amidst so many items he puts on the field and action points DIO gets. Seems like one of the most fun decks to play but miserable to play against.
I hate playing against Dash because of the fact that there are so many different ways to play it and you have to have a plan for all of them, but I love steam punk as an aesthetic and art style and I think Metrix is one of the coolest areas in Rathe that I want to learn and know more about like why technology hasn’t spread more.
I have two good friends I play at Armory a lot who are excellent fab players, I usually lose but I learn from them in the process. One is a Bravo main and the other is Kano. I used to hate those heros but now I've kind of figured them out. I would say I hate Bravo the most but because it is my friend I don't mind the match because it's always a good time
wouldn't say there's a deck I hate playing against (yet) but I got blown out hard by a Kavdaen fatigue deck at a recent commoner armory so screw that hero. at least he kept giving me copper so that was nice
I hate playing against islyander in commoner. But I'm glad it exists in the format so it's not just a speed race. Also it's basically the same deck as the one that won worlds

I hate playing against Rayden Boltyn. I always have a fist full of attack actions and I make the wrong blocking decisions. I am impressed with the deck pilots though because almost all their cards stink.
Fai. The deck is fair (a positive statement), but the experience is low on decision points for both players. Not calling the hero bad, or saying they should be banned. I just don't enjoy playing the match up. I do love ninja, but not Fai.
I hate playing against Dawnblade Dori and Reprise is the dumbest/worst mechanic in the game and shouldnt exist. Its worse than dominate and intimidate. If you dont block she goes out of control, if you do block she might just come over the top and you should've just not blocked. Imagine a game where the core mechanics are to attack and block and one of the decks just wins if you dont block but punishes you when you do block. Something nice: I like her aesthetic.

Comparing Kano's Aether Wildfire combo to Bloodrush Bellows is so horribly bad. AW combo has a much higher ceiling than BRB every single time. Kano as a hero isn't a bad design; it's the cards that LSS have published for wizard creating these gigantic combos is the issue. Additionally, I've only been playing since October 2023 but I've seen that Kano has always been an issue - he won several Battle Hardeneds late last year, it's only now that Kano is getting more noise now is because the meta has shifted and people aren't playing as much AB and more people are playing Kano. The deck has zero interaction; you can go away for a toilet break for 15 minutes and the Kano player can still be playing solitaire. Flesh and Blood is all about that street fighter type interaction of back and forth attack and defense; Kano doesn't fit that mould and doesn't create an enjoyable playing experience. That's my issue with the Kano deck, not that I think he breaks the meta or is a broken deck. But I do appreciate those who can successfully pilot it and get success out of the deck and it is a good learning experience to play against.

Hit me and permanently alter the state of the game. Losing one's hero ability for the rest of the game is excessive
