I mean sure, you can express the equations in terms of basic concepts so... why not? the equations are just mathematical representations of observations. Nothing fancy about it.
for example the thing that comes to everyone's minds while talking about Quantum Mechanics , Schrodinger's equation : HΨ=iℏ(∂t/∂Ψ) just describes the position and momentum of the particle as represented by the iℏ which is the result of the position and momentum vectors. So if I had to explain this simply I wouldn't use the equation since the idea on which it is based can be first shown to the kids. Like actually showing what we observe while trying to measure these two vectors.
The only thing kids need to understand these concepts is a vivid imagination, nothing more. If they have a good mentor, 10 year olds might not struggle as much to learn QM.
I know this cuz I'm 16 myself. Although I can't say I know enough to consider myself good at QM, I'd say I'm not half bad at it either.
@@etcetera1674 knowing about QM is not the same as understanding QM.. no 10 year old is gonna understand QM obviously.. they can only know about it to a extent (easy part of it like Schrödinger's cat or Einstein's dice..) maybe even Heisenberg's uncertainty principal is going to be nerve recking for them.. that's like the tip of an iceberg.. they don't understand vectors and I don't think that any 10 year old should know about it.. why would you want to make them hate physics at that young age
@@uplakshgoel1504 yep its been a year since I posted this comment and I've learnt a lot about physics as a field, I was quite immature abt it a year ago but that being said, early exposure to the most fundamental but intriguing ideas (quantum or classical) won't hurt at all, in fact by exposing kids to paradoxes and patterns that come up in simple manipulations of physical laws is the greatest thing anyone can do for the future of physics.
Also, a general theme I've noticed amongst amateur physicists alike myself is that we start out with something as abstract as quantum physics and try to simplify it (which is without doubt, a very tiring and almost impossible route to go through) rather than make the most of simple classical physics.

I am same age as you and I love QM, but I am sure that if I had to study it without having any interest in the field or without knowing the basics of physics, I would had dropped the idea to study it. I totally agree with you specially on the paradoxes part.. I wish that the education system of my country starts focusing on providing people the knowledge instead of making them mug up everything just so that they can score good marks in their tests... people hate subjects like science because of it even tho it's the most interesting subject out there
