Considering how Heston became vilified for his ties to the NRA and what Rosie turned in into, I don't think this interview would have happened 5 years later. More of a statement on how relatively civil things were back then.
Gun "politics" is just the constitution. That's all. Remove the inner city shootings by a "diverse" people, and gun crimes are no higher than anywhere else in the world. I heard a noise outside that scared me about a year ago. Keep in mind I was in a bad motorcycle crash a few years ago. No way I can go toe to toe with a criminal to protect my family. I grabbed my AR15 (with nightvision) and went outside to check on the noise. It turned out to be an animal knocking the trash cans over. It was nothing. Went back in the house. We have a right to protect our families. Thank god and thank the constitution.
It´s a shame that heston didn´t made too many comedies. I have seen him in The private war of major benson, and in his Saturday Night live presentation and it seems like he could do comedy pretty well.
