Floyd Rose makes the replacement for TOM style bridges called the FRX, from what I recall it doesn't need any drilling or routing. If you're into modding this might be something to try.
@@Edivademon Doing great, how about you. Did not have/make much time free to practise on the guitar. Should be much more as a novice. But I'm not in a hurry.
I'm thinking about buying this and upgrading the components. Would you say this guitar can be picked up to a professional level with upgrades? Or is it not worth or unable to bring up? And if it is worth it, what upgrades in it would you say are necessary to bring this to the professional world and what else would you recommend?
It is very much possible to bring it up to a high standard. The only thing that would require a later upgrade are the frets. As to the upgrades which would be necessary: - bridge - pickups and electronics - nut So pretty much everything except for the tuners (depends on your string winding technique, the stock ones are not bad). I have an updated video where I have all the upgrades in place. Even with everything upgraded - I think that it's worth it. The only real requirement is to get the initial guitar in good shape out of the box.
@@TheOneTrueAJ They're not bad, my only real issue is that they're size medium and I prefer my frets to be jumbo. They of course require some initial polishing but that's to be expected.
I bought the guitar and I really like it. The only thing I didn't like about the guitar is the headstock. So I swapped the neck of the guitar for an original B.C. Rich neck from a Beast, which fits perfectly. Now the headstock looks at least good.
That's a mod that I had in my mind initially when I got the guitar, but I got used to the headstock and especially the chunkier neck profile. In the end I went as far as replacing the frets recently with the biggest I could get my hands on.
@@_fifeusz So the neck, the frets, the neck profile on mine was exactly like the Beast. The only difference was the headstock. At first I thought I could get used to this stupid headstock over time, but that wasn't the case. And so I made the decision, just because of the headstock, to swap the neck. The BS20BK now looks like a real Beast from the Bronze series. And if you want to change that, the neck of the original Beast and the Warlock from the Bronze series fit 100%. I think your idea with the black knobs and the black hardware, in the upgrade video is so good that I might adopt it too.
Hi. Thanks for the great demo. I have one question, how's the neck profile of those Hartley Benton, are they slim like Ibanez or Jackson? Do you find Harley Benton BS-20 neck to be comfortable, speedy, quick playable neck? Would this be comparable with something like Jackson JS22 or JS32 series of guitars, or something like Ibanez GRGR 131EX-BKF. I am in search for affordable every day guitar, that I'm not going to baby that much, but that is still nice instrument with fast playable neck. JS22 Dinky is about 2 times the price, JS32 around 3 times (Kelly, or Rhodes, or Worior). Would you rather go Jackson or Ibanez route, or this Benton would be sufficient. Have you ever had a chance to play this series of Jacksons or Ibanez? Sorry on my bad English.comfortable
I wouldn't call this a slim neck, definitely far from Ibanez or Jackson. It is a bit of a thicker C-like profile, kind of like in Fenders. For me it is actually very comfortable - I don't like Ibanez Wizard necks. Unfortunately I can't compare to Ibanez or Jackson guitars that you mentioned.
i have a question So I bought my first guitar 2 months ago and I’m planning to get this one for my birthday this year bc it looks super cool ,it’s super cheap and I love. To play rock metal … so I just wanted to ask if it is wort buying it
In my opinion it is worth it, it can be a bit of a lottery in terms of quality control as it is a cheaper guitar but Thomann has a very friendly return policy. Once you get it set up to your liking it plays very well and, at least for me, is very inspiring. You have to be aware that the neck may be a bit on the chunkier side.
I have an idiot question;..straight outa the box this guitar, can I do some Scott Ian riffs that are tight and chunky? How are the stock pick-ups with noise handling, would I need a gate for palm mutes, etc? Thank you!! This demo is 100% perfect!!
@@joelalexander4513 sure thing you can, I remember the stock pickups were not that bad actually, they weren't microphonic or anything. For extra tight riffs you'd need a gate anyway

I'd say that they are in the same category - it's all down to visual preferences. For me WL-20 is way too far from the original Warlock shape so I went with BS-20. Everything else is pretty much the same in both models.
Looks and sounds good for the price. Just a shame that the headstock doesn't fit the body at all, esthetically. It would have been so easy to design something similar to the BC Rich widow headstock but different enough to avoid the lawyers...
