Some staff changes definitely need to be made. Starting with the offensive line coach and maybe even the running backs coach as well. And I hope Lou can rebound this year. Because some of his play calling was suspect during season.
I agree that with all the little things brought to light to be worked on, the Bengals would be playing this week if burrow stated healthy. i am concerned about one thing. I think the Bengals have a top 10 talented oline. why do they not play at that level very often? i really like pollack but if the players arent the problem- and i dont think any of them are- then what is it?
You never want to see members of your regime leave, but thats what happens when your successful. I dont believe Zac Taylor will let a new hire come in and change things to much. It ultimately will put more on ZT coaching plate which scares me a bit. It's the ultimate fight to survive business. Maybe its a blessing and the potential new hires come in and make a positive difference. Time will tell. CHEERS to ALL
The offense has definitely become stale. Sure browning did good blah blah blah but the explosiveness has disappeared. Watching the greenbay and Texans have receivers so open that the camera had to zoom out to show a defender was something I never see with the bengals. Every defense is able to keep close to our guys and it’s coaching. Need more creativity to get more down field plays and get some chunks more often.
James...i would love if troy Walters got offensive coordinator job. He seems like a amazing teacher and smart and obviously A former player. And obviously has worked wonders coaching receivers
I agree with u James and I said down below and commented what u said even before I heard u said it until now in this podcast. If callahan was so bad at his job there wouldn't be 4 nfl teams interested in his services. These are professional nfl teams that know a whole lot more than any of us fans and including myself. People want to believe whatever that's fine but to act like callahans horrible at his job is unfair. Honestly I'm surprised he's gotten as much attention as he has, not because I don't think he's unqualified but because he's not calling plays. We have seen oc's not calling plays take forever to gets promotions. The great Eric beinemy took a oc job for another team just to be able to call plays so that way he could get a promotion and that would to be a hc. Is callahan perfect? No but good luck finding one that is. I just watched the Dolphins muster up 7 points in a whole game, the great McDaniels. Kc can't even score 30 for multiple weeks now. We watched Kyle Shanahan get shut down by lou to score 17 points in a game. All these coaches have bad games.
Again; let’s not be afraid of change. The offense has been up and down for years. Our defense was the biggest reason we got to the SB. Our offense was the reason we lost it.
Honestly, had the bengals began at least 1-1 in 2022, they probably would’ve gotten the 1 seed, would’ve played out the bills game, 14-3, home field in the playoffs, and probably beat the chiefs and win the Super Bowl. and this year, had they literally at least gone 2-2 and not 1-3, they would’ve finished 10-7 and made the playoffs
this has to fall on taylor. hes done a lot of great stuff in a short period of time but even a super bowl win ( which id love) wont make me call him great unless he can figure out how to be ready week 1 and win division games- at least 4-2 each season, thats what perennial contenders do.
Here’s my take on it if Callahan takes a head coaching job that’s great he’s earned it, but I’m not too concerned about it because we could always go get the interim offensive coordinator who was Joe Burrows offensive coordinator at LSU, Joe Brady, I think that was his name, because I don’t see Buffalo hiring him long term ,because he’s not there type of offensive coordinator if he was then he would have been hired as the offensive coordinator, and their not gonna make a move till after they know whether or not, they made the Super Bowl after the season, and we could get him at a reasonable price the coaches that I see them replacing on both sides of the ball is offensive lineman and defensive line coach, They need some fresh new ideas up there and they need the right players because these two lines have done nothing the last two years, except for Hendrickson, and that’s all I have ….WHO-DEY
@@demetricclark9341 he not injury prone he played 40 straight games getting sacked 5 times a game before this year. Look at the qbs with injuries this year what do they have in common no offensive line you got to have protection you can’t protect your money with no safe lol
Jordan Palmer would make a good QB coach if Pitch gets promoted or leaves. Unfortunately it’s very unlikely to happen; He’s probably happy as a consultant.
Maybe Callahan and Pitcher both go and the Bengals are forced to hire a real coordinator and tell Zac to take a back seat on the play calling. Scheme can make offensive lineman better. 5 seasons and still learning is a joke 1&5 in the division.
Brian Callahan isn't going anywhere -hes shown no ability to be creative or change on the fly. He's what corporate hiring managers call, "column fodder" where you interview guys you're never gonna hire to justify getting the guy you want
I understand the grip to a certain point but also he's gotta be doing something right for teams to be interested in his services. Teams not only look for people for the x's and o's but they also look for hc material and that gets lost with alot of fans. The "ceo" of a team, leader of men, to develop a winning culture ext. @@SnoopyReads we've had this discussion many times. Getting lucky on the chuck em up deep burrow to Jamar unscripted play does not make a coordinator a genius. Offensive line coach should be replaced.
i love pollack but it has to at least be looked at. too much talent for level of play
Agree. He isn’t able to crack the code of putting to gather an OL that plays as one organism. He’s the one guy who’s been consistent.
Thank you, again!

i don’t disagree but blowing it all up and restarting constantly doesn’t work either. im for some changes a little at a time.

I would love to see play calling taken away from Taylor… his situational play calling is God Awful!
Go after Josh Mcdaniels if we lose Brian. He worked with Brady and made Mac Jones a decent looking qb when he was in NE
He’d be smart to stay away from NE after watching Mayos presser. 🙄

Frank polak is a good coach. The offensive line looks way better than it did before he got here. It's easy to see when you actually watch the Games
Cna this show lost that stiff Rapien?
I think Dan should be given the job now, at least a co- coordinator until Brian leaves
Money talks, Joe Brady can go were he wants
