One loaf of bread for lunch really puts things into perspective. A loaf lasts me what feels like forever. I don’t have kids or anything so I can’t even imagine the work involved for a “normal” sized family, but wow this makes me admire your organization and management skills!
It really puts things in perspective! I don't really like eating bread (only the first day when you open the loaf, day 2 they are already too dry!) Though my hubby eats 1-2 loaves of bread in a week without a problem! Cannot imagine what will happen when our future kids will have his appetite! Might go bankrupt very soon, lol! Jammeril is amazing at leading a big family! I'm also one of 8 children but by the time I was born a lot of them already had their own appartment. :-)
I used to work for Walmart as a store manager and I must say, I would have been so excited to see an order that large come in through OGP (online grocery pickup). You just gave those hourly associates a great boost to their bonus!
I was going to say the same. They must love when you're order comes through! All the associates I've had are always super nice and my hauls are under $100.
frugalmomofmany... no they can't take tips but every 6 months they get bonuses. The amount of the bonus depends on the amount of sales the store has done. Bigger/more sales equals bigger bonuses.
One thing I really like about the way you shop is that you have a really nice mix of make from scratch meals and easy, quick on the go meals. I love to be able to just whip up a PB&J or two for my kids, toss in that easy pudding cup and some carrot sticks! Also think it so much fun to make homemade muffins, and cookies! It's really fun to watch your hauls! :)
I want to encourage you - we all struggle with our diets. Well, maybe not everyone, but I do too! May you continue to do the best you can in honoring he Lord in keeping your body healthy. It’s a hard endeavor! Blessings to you today.
Your kids are so lucky to have you as their mama. My goodness I don't know how you do it. My mum had 6 kids but never cooked for us, I rarely ate meat, and we weren't poor, she just didn't care much for food. Its amazing we didn't have malnutrition! Frozen pizza, waffles and potatoes were my staples, but I have to say I love my mama and wouldn't change her for anything! God bless you for being such a wondeful mother and a great example to others.
With the Italian and French breads, I butter the slices and put them into gallon freezer bags and freeze them. I use them for garlic bread, grilled cheese, turkey/ham and cheese toasted sandwiches. Very helpful!
Haha I laughed when you said "that's in his helpful job description." 😂 God is so good to give us sweet and helpful husbands! ❤️ I always love watching your hauls 😊
I love your channel! I have always thought of wanting to plan meals but I didn't know how to really start. For families looking for fun meals on a budget your show makes it easier. Thank you!
For that many kids and all the good foods and house hold items you got for $1200 isn’t really that much! I love your videos thanks for sharing what you get!
I am so thankful for your honesty! Good for you getting back on the THM, I’ve only gotten as far as reading the book 📖 And in truth not even the full book! Your an amazing woman & what you eat or don’t eat can’t change that :) Thanks for the encouragement in faith and family!
Since I am home bound I also use the Walmart pick up feature. You may already know this, but when you check out, there is an option to indicate things that you do not want substituted. It autofills to allow substitutions for everything, so you have to unselect what you don't want substituted like that bread. I learned this the hard way. Most things I don't care about, but there are a few things I am super picky regarding.
You eyes are beautiful.😊 This Wal-Mart pick up must be a God send for you...I can't imagine going and buying all this then coming home and unloading and putting away. It's great you have helpers.
Have you tried tortellini soup for a quick lunch (or dinner)? Either make your own broth or use store broth and throw in a few chicken breasts (or beans for a cheaper vegetarian option), sliced carrots and celery, chopped onion, canned chopped tomatoes, and seasonings. You could add additional veggies too! Cook until chicken is done. Take it out, shred/chop it, return it. Boil tortellini pasta in soup and serve!
Hey Jammerill, That was quite an impressive grocery haul. At 4:57, that was a pretty big bag of, healthy looking carrots! And at 7:08, those jars of apple sauce look delish. I always try to to keep a jar of apple sauce chilling in the fridge for dessert. Or just a comfort food snack. I can tell you and your family love and appreciate good food. And I'm glad that you are so generous in providing for your kids, thinking of what they need too, because I've seen some large family mother vloggers, and they get mainly vegetables, and not much else, that would interest, or feed growing children. And then, these same parents would get more adult treats for themselves, and leave the kids with "slim pickens". 😞
I am a firm believer in Trim Healthy Mama, it's what I Vlog about mostly. I also know that life interviews with it. Many can testify to that, my hand is raised. I'm older now & the weight seems to enjoy my body it doesn't want to leave. Ha! You do what works for you! Family of 9 here & I see your grivwey hauls & see real life saving food. We go through 8 loaves of bread a week. Ha! You go friend! Thank you for being a blessing & an encouragement !
I recently started THM for a month now and love it! I would love to see some THM recipes for the whole family with great options for the kids. That’s where I stumble a bit, on what to feed the kid with our THM meals. Great haul!
I’m so glad you are going to get back to Trim Healthy Momma! That’s how I found your channel but I’ve loved it even when you were not doing Trim Healthy Momma. Remember to give yourself grace! You deserve it!
I do the Fred Meyer (Kroger) Clicklist for pick up and on the checkout section there is a checkbox you can uncheck if you don't want that specific item substituted. Also you can leave a little note under each item so you can specify how ripe you want things, etc. Walmart doesn't have grocery pick up in my area but I am loving the Clicklist!
Thanks for the THM update, I have watched many of your THM related videos that have been very informative. I love the plan and have been on it for almost 1 year now. I had to chuckle because as you were doing your Walmart graocery haul I started adding items to my own list that I had forgotten, So thank you for that! LOL
You go girl! At first I was like how the heck does all this stay fresh. Then you said how large your family was.... totally understandable now. I have 3 boys ages 9,5 and 2 and they go through some food!!!
Sorry, but today I was not paying attention to your haul, but to you, YOU LOOK AMAZING and it is interesting because you are A MOTHER OF MANY KIDS, thanks fo inspiring us, bye nena!!!
This is amazing, I am obsessed with your grocery hauls!!! We are looking into a deep freezer to do more monthly food prep, right now I do a monthly pantry haul with Walmart grocery pick up, and then go weekly for milk fruits and veggies, since we just don't have that freezer space, your hack with the pre made pb&J has saved me lol!!!! Your an inspiration!!!!
I love the hauls! But then I love everything you do!! Idea for French bread (you may already do this) slit bread length wise, mix 1 cup mayo, 1 to 2 cups shredded cheese, garlic and onion chopped to taste. Slather all over bread halves and bake till golden brown @ 375. Yummy! Can add pepperoni too. Maybe kids will love this.
For whatever reason, I didn't think to use it for French toast but it is only $1 and a loaf of Texas toast is nearly $4 at my local store. Thank you for helping me find a much cheaper alternative if I choose thick bread!
Sometimes for dinner we have oatmeal milk and mashed bananas with a little Nutella it taste great and is pritty cheap to make your kids might like to try it.
Jamerrill, I'm a homeschooling mom of 8 also and had great successes and failures with THM. I'm in the same boat with getting started again. I will say the Singing Canary drink has super charged my metabolism and is helping the weight melt off. It's a sipper and super yummy. I'd love it if you did a thm freezer cook day for fast foods for us mom's that are going a mile a minute. Hugs girl. You're the best.
I've tried the easy bun thing for my 10 yr old dancer and could never get it to work. I found the Bun head Pins work the best for keeping it in. Glad it worked for you!
My kids would use animal crackers, vanilla wafers or graham crackers to dip applesauce with! Quick easy snack, my kids are grown and I still have the same snack! Luv ICU!
Hi Jameril., I also like the ease of the Wal-Mart online ordering. Sometimes as well . Do not know they are not sending something until we get there to pick up the order. As they e mail me the receipt.
I always dilute my sons apple juice half water half juice. He doesn’t even notice. Also I totally understand about the quantities of food you have to buy. I have a 10 year old and a 3 year old. They will go through a tub of yogurt in two days. And the little one alone can eat a banana a day. I can definitely see how you go through that amount of food. Especially boys!
Isn't it possible to communicate with Walmart that there is a list of products you would rather not get substituted? I'm sure they won't really mind you giving them a list of these products, seeing as you buy a huge amount of groceries monthly with them! In my opinion you coming back to them everytime should count for something!
I can't imagine having enough money to buy 1200 worth of food. We are about to embark upon living in a camper so i just can't imagine. The lord has blessed you.
Taking about unseasonal weather in the part of Australia I'm in (its summer her) we had several days of over 40C (104+F) 1 night the temperature didn't dip below 30C (86F) plus the there was thunder storms and huminity above 90% and then after about 4 days the next day was 18C (65F).
if they're buying from WM...a lot of what's on that table is "name brand". keep in mind that when you order for pick-up if the item is out of stock the employee completing the order can pull the more expensive name-brand item so as to fill the order. You can usually specify a first and 2nd choice; or, an only choice-if it's out of stock, you don't want a substitution. Given the mix on the table, I'm guessing they "emptied" several items from the shelves &/or didn't opt for the "no substitutions" ...doing that would have meant a 2nd trip or, ordering from a second WM...but, I guarantee it would've saved them a couple hundred bucks (which would've paid for the non-food items). Also----there's a lot of "extras" on that table...cake, almond milk, etc. They're obviously not worried about there food bill...but, they could definitely trim some of their "grocery" costs, so as to have money later-esp given that they're gonna buy more milk, etc thru the week. oh, just saw Tom's Toothpaste....$4-5....go buy it at BigLots or BL on-line...$3.00 😊
Jamerrill's Large Family Table I completely understand about bring that far away from a store. been there, done that. Sometimes you gotta pay extra just cos you're further in the boonies lol
You should get a news paper for comparing prices from other stores that's cheaper. And send them to Wal-Mart's by emailing them. And then Wal-Mart will have to give it to you for that cheaper price which allows you to buy even more food for the same price you normally spend. And you can get a tax i.d. number and contact all those different companies and they will donate those productions to you and can send you manfactor coupons too. They don't mine because they can right it off on their taxes as charity donations. I know because I have contacted them.
Love to see you've got some of our finest irish kerrigold butter! I'm definitely finding the extras such as the toiletries is increasingly raising my grocery budget majorly. x
ashley bailie that brand of butter, at super Walmart in Fayetteville AR is the most expensive butter in the entire store, and comes in one of the smallest sizes....if they bought a different brand they'd prob save some money. Esp if there are a lot of items where subs can be made, wo losing quality and possibly increasing size (lowering price per oz/lb)? Peace.
I would make french bread pizza with those loafs from walmart. You have the pepperoni and cheese already and even green peppers. Enjoyed the shopping haul thank you for sharing!
jealous of that weather! Great hair day 8) we started Walmart pick up too..only found a few items they dont carry that we need. but overall great service. Tell me please, do they give you any "freebies" or anything special for such a HUGE pick up?
Oh if only we had Walmart here in Australia! Love watching your hauls and you vlogs are such great inspiration for our own family of 11 (almost 12!) thank you 😍
"Your choices are ice with water or water.." I LOVE IT JAMERRILL!
One loaf of bread for lunch really puts things into perspective. A loaf lasts me what feels like forever.

Yes four kids and a loaf is maybe half the week
My bro in law takes a loaf made up into sandwiches for his lunch lol and NO, he's not heavy, in fact he's very slim, he just works real hard
"I say this with fear and trepidation...." You are too cute! You always inspire me, Jamerrill!

I love how real you are. I found you and now I am hooked on your beautiful energy! Thank you go being inspiration to all of us Mamas!!! God is good!!

That makes me happy! I always wonder if they dread seeing our order come in, hah!
Samantha, they get a bonus for large orders? Are you supposed to tip associates who fill your order? I've never done grocery pickup.
frugalmomofmany... no they can't take tips but every 6 months they get bonuses. The amount of the bonus depends on the amount of sales the store has done. Bigger/more sales equals bigger bonuses.
I've worked at 3 different stores and each company policy states employees can NOT accept tips, gifts, etc. from anyone (customers, vendors)
Ice water!! I often say to my kids you can either have ice or water or get crazy and mix them.
A Country Life lol I just laughed so hard.My Mom always told me drink water or go thirtsy lol.
Lol I love it!!!!
I appreciate your honesty so much. You have a large family and a large budget. I have 6 kids and that budget keeps getting bigger and bigger!
One thing I really like about the way you shop is that you have a really nice mix of make from scratch meals and easy, quick on the go meals. I have a family of 5 adults and 2 children to feed so I LOVE your grocery hauls and freezer meals. Its helped me out a lot. Thank you!
Hey don’t beat yourself up about “failing” a diet. It’s okay. You’re trying! And trying is way better than not trying. You got this :)
So excited to watch this haul! Hope you are having a fantastic day!❤️❤️
I want to encourage you - we all struggle with our diets. Well, maybe not everyone, but I do too! May you continue to do the best you can in honoring he Lord in keeping your body healthy. It’s a hard endeavor! Blessings to you today.

I normally don't get into watching other people spend money lol but I make the exception for useful info and The Large Family Table LOL :)
You eyes are beautiful.😊
This Wal-Mart pick up must be a God send for you...I can't imagine going and buying all this then coming home and unloading and putting away. It's great you have helpers.
Love ya Jamerrill. Your honest THM update was great. You said it like it is for many of us moms. Stay strong!
I cut the French bread long ways and make a long sub out of it. Then slice in smaller sandwiches...we love it!
Love your huge hauls! For your large family, that seems like a fair monthly grocery budget. 😊
Bless ur heart ...thanks for sharing ur life with us sweet gal!!🤗
Your hair looks so pretty like that. Nice haul..

Great haul!! Can’t wait to see the mini grocery haul you are doing soon as well!! Love your videos! 👍❤️😻👏🙋🏻
You go girl! At first I was like how the heck does all this stay fresh. Then you said how large your family was.... totally understandable now. I have 3 boys ages 9,5 and 2 and they go through some food!!!
I just love your hauls, I only have one 7yr old daughter but I get so many great meal ideas from you. Thanks!
I enjoyed watching your videos. Thanks for sharing your recipes.
Wow your an inspiration to me .God Bless you and your beautiful family.
the person who delivered that really deserves a tip
I always love your hauls, Jamerrill, and seeing that beautiful big family of yours!
Everybody in my family loves your baked oatmeal recipe definitely going to try it with the chocolate chips👍🏾
Got a recipe for you for hot chocolate mix. 1 lb quik, 1 lb dry milk, 1 lb creamer, 1 lb powdered sugar. Mix and use 1/3 cup mix to 1 cup hot water
You are my Zen place....relaxing talks!! Just watched this and now heading off to chaos at work!! LOL
Lisa S also French toast bake!
I know Lil Ms.Emilia will love the veggies like the Lil tomatoes
The French and Italian bread would be great for french toast or garlic bread
For whatever reason, I didn't think to use it for French toast but it is only $1 and a loaf of Texas toast is nearly $4 at my local store. Thank you for helping me find a much cheaper alternative if I choose thick bread!
I’m not married and have no children but I love your videos!!
Love your top and hair in this video! I'm anxious to see how the "easy bun" thing turns out in your hair!
My grown (married) daughter bought one & she can do her hair like a champ with that bun thing. I’m not sure I could, but I would love to somedays. 😊
Sarah Swain yes! Can’t wait too see it!
I've tried the easy bun thing for my 10 yr old dancer and could never get it to work. I found the Bun head Pins work the best for keeping it in. Glad it worked for you!
Always love your hauls. You are inspiring and relatable. 💕
Unusual first name...is that your real name?
Girl you just kill it. Super mom!
Love y'all so much! Beautiful family 🌻💙
The Italian bread if you cut in half you can put pizza sauce or spighti sauce and pepperoni and cheese. Makes great pizza, or sub sandwhiches
I always dilute my sons apple juice half water half juice. He doesn’t even notice. Also I totally understand about the quantities of food you have to buy. I have a 10 year old and a 3 year old. You can use the loafs of uncut bread for French toast, French toast bake of meatloaf.
1200 a month for food a month!?!?! My goodness!!
yay!! welcome back to THM! I've been curious what you were doing with it
Failure does not exist, it is another opportunity to move forward. In my eyes you only fail if you do not try😊
I can't imagine having enough money to buy 1200 worth of food. We are about to embark upon living in a camper so i just can't imagine. The lord has blessed you.
I started THM about three weeks ago. I am 37weeks and definitely noticed a difference.

The pickup grocery people are probably in awe at the amount of food!

You are #goals girl. I’m constantly working on my food budget but I have a lot of work to do!
Yay. I would love some trim healthy mama inspiration !
