Hallo Chris! You know I much I appreciate it that you watch and comment!!! I really struggled with this video. It still turned out too lengthy and repetitive. I am not good with being precise, focused and short in my writing! I also struggle to write scientific articles. I wanted to add more about digital stamps, but the video just became too lengthy. Because it might be the future, I am also quite interested in digital stamps and what is out there. NZPost very recently issued there first crypto stamps and apparently the sold out within 15 hours. I don't know how much they released. Happy stamp collecting! 🙂
Hi Dan! I am so glad and thank you so, so much for watching and for your very kind and positive comment! Coming from you makes it even more special! I am glad you think the video is well researched. I have so little of my own experience, and is not sure if I contribute anything. I hope you are doing excellently and that you are productive and happy in all the things you do! Very best wishes here from New Zealand!🙂
Hi Sergey! Thank you for the very beautiful comment and compliment! It means a lot to me, and my confidence! I don't find it easy to make the TH-cam videos and always think they are not good enough. Your comment gave me some joy and energy to continue. It took me while to finish this video. I find it very difficult to write precise and focused without too much detail and duplication. Sorry, you probably didn't want so many words reply. 🙂🙂🙂
Hello Schuey, yes I was quite late with this video! Good for you to notice. 🙂 I struggled with this video, and eventually it turned out to be still too long and bulky. I want to finish the series, but I am not so sure it is really of value. But thank you for watching and commenting again, and it is such an encouragement for me if you like my videos. Thanks!
Excellent video! This is indeed useful for those wanting to begin collecting bit are hesitant because of lack of necessary info on which steps to take. Awesome!!! 👍👏👏👏❤️🔥
Hi ThreeStunStamps, thank you so much for watching and your positive, supportive comment! I really appreciate it! I still plan to make a proper "How to begin with stamp collecting" video. I should have started the tutorial series with that, but I think I bought so many stamps for quite a time - it was first on my mind. If the tutorials can even help one person and get him/her to collect, I will be over the moon for joy! Take care! 🙂
I always think you should have continued stamp collecting. You are such an excellent and knowledgeable numismatist, you would have been an excellent philatelist as well! Happy collecting!🙂
@@GreatStampAdventure if I was living in a cooler and drier climate, I might have considered that. As it is here in the tropics, storing stamps safely is quite the challenge.
Thanks for this informative video. I remember buying a stamp packet as a young kit because the country seemed so exotic. I thought it will be the closest I will ever get to it.
Great video as always Charnie - packed with useful information. Have an awesome day!💥From Fun At Home (Hot Wheels, Lego, Cards, Stamps & collectables)👍
Hello Jerry! As always, thanks so much for watching and commenting! It is interesting that you actually bought stamp packets. Were they worth while to you? I have bought many mixes so far, but not a stamp packet specifically. I only recently became aware that they still exist. Enjoy your stamp collecting activities! 🙂
Hola, Lucy! Thank you for watching and commenting! I am glad you liked the video. Excellent for you to start stamp collecting again after such a long time!!! I am sure many hours of delight, spending time with your stamps, are waiting for you. 🙂
When they are CTO's in packet's why don't they state it.?. When was the 1st stamp packet ? and which country did they begin.? Would be interesting to know. U R getting very well with your vid's.
Hi Roger! I agree with you! They should be honest about CTOs! Maybe in those times they did not regard CTOs as negative or not being actually used stamps. But it does seem fraudulent. I didn't do research so intensively for the video. It would be interesting to know about the more exact history for stamp packets. One statement I came across, was that the exact history of stamp packets is not known. But who knows, if one should have been able to do proper research beyond internet, one might be able to get some excellent facts and history. Thanks so, so, so much for watching and your positive comment about my videos. I do start to feel slightly more at ease in front of the camera. 🙂
Hi Benny, you are right! Thanks for noting that! I wonder how much knowledge of the stamps people had who put these packets together. They should rather have slipped through a rare, high value stamps every now and then without knowing it. 🙂Thanks tremendously for watching and your comment.
Hi! Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Your choice will result in a very neat and pristine collection. It is interesting to hear that you want a minimum cancel on a stamp. It is different from collectors who prefer a "socked on the nose" cancel which is quite extensive and covering a large part of a stamp. Kind regards to you!
I would be very cautious about digital stamps and NFTs they likely don't hold any rights to reproduce and sell these images. Sounds supper scammy to me.
I agree with you, Aaron! I think these might be in a shady situation with copyright. As far as I could find, crypto or NFT stamps are issued by postal authorities. NZPost recently release there first crypto stamps. I don't know how much they released, but apparently they were sold out within 15 hours! About digital stamps: I could not find a digital stamp pack or lot for sale as was claimed existed, but these will most likely be illegal regarding copyright, except if it is of stamps old enough for copyright to have expired. Thanks for watching and your interesting comment!
Thank you, Jeff. I am glad you enjoyed it. I am always afraid the Powerpoint presentations might be too boring. I enjoy it as well to do the research. Lots of best wishes to you!!!! @@jeffsstamps

Very informative video Charnie! You put a lot of info into this! Also nice you included digital stamps.

Actually, those stamps (07:45) are South African definitives, not Commemoratives. 😊

My opinion : I prefer stamps mint never hingend and stamps that touched the letter/postcard and kissed by a cancel 😘

@GreatStampAdventure Sound more interesting if issued by postal authorities. I was imagining private individuals issuing these. Thanks for the info.
