I was at this battle in San Francisco. Swamp won because his set really moved the crowd. The other competitors were all technically great but Swamp just brought some dynamic energy that day. I had my bets on Babu, Sinister then Melo-D, but Swamp took it.

It's good to actually see him do it. Sinista was my favorite out the X-ecutioners but I think Total Eclipse was the best overall. Eclipse was like a combo of Sinista and Roc Raida. He was funky like Sinista but a little tighter. Sinista was a little sloppy at times but that made his sound funkier.
I think the problem with his performance is that it does not feel like a fluid set. It feels more like a series of really sick juggle routines. And of course, we all know he is a legend. I feel like DJ Swamp had a beginning, middle and an end. It took you different places. Technically, Joey was much more skilled; but it felt like a showcase.
