I don't understand in all of this why Clay continues to speak the delusion that Caitlin Clark's popularity is somehow tied to Angel Reese. The more I watch your videos (and you noted you weren't watching the game), the more I realize you aren't as in the know on this stuff as other Outkick contributors or conservative sports media. People watched Caitlin Clark in high volume before she ever played Angel Reese. People pack stadiums and tune in for Caitlin Clark within a single thought about Angel Reese. Sure, there is a fringe group that takes interest only in that game, but Clark's highest rated W games didn't involve Reese.
Had it been anyone else on the Fever being tomahawk chopped from behind I would agree, but it wasn't. I would put it this way the only way she could block the shot was thru CCs head. If CCs head was a lump of molten metal it would have never happened. That so called block attempt didn't come from the top down it came from the back court with the side of the head as the target. The ball was 2 feet beyond her reach and Angel has been playing long enough to know the ball was unblockable from her position. You saying that a pro ball player is so uncoordinated that she was not in control of her body is a joke. Coordination is the one aspect of this game that is key at this level.

You know what makes me believe that was on purpose and a good way to not get caught? AR looked at CC's face right before the jump...why? It's a fraction of a second, to me she aimed, then looked up at the ball (everyone knows there are cameras everywhere) and launched herself... she also never attempted to reduce the impact, the moment she saw the ball was out of reach, she also didn't offer CC a hand to help her up (thing that I'm used to see in italian football even between rivals who play rough with each others)

The Chennedy Carter play was not a rebound as you said. The ball was not even inbounds. She walked from 15 feet away yelled “you bitch“ and then knocked her blindside from behind down to the floor. It was straight up cheap shot. The play yesterday with Angel Reese to me at least was a “ basketball play“.

Ok, when Fever (2-8) played the Mystics (0-10) Caitlin sold 20,233 seats. When Reese played the Mystics last Friday the played in a different arena that only has a little over 4000 seats. There is NO comparison what so ever.

The only reason I loved to watch the Detroit Pistons was for the after effect. Once a foul was committed, two or three more fouls would occur and the players knew that there wouldn't a continuous foul called.
Look carefully the thumbnail of this video and you can tell what happened. Initially Reese was trying to block but knowing she couldn't reach the ball she just looked at the roof with such force of 180° wiping motion.

If that is what Reese considers a play on the ball, she's either much less athletic as those claim her to be. Given her height advantage over Clark alone, should have produced a much closer attempt on the ball or even Clark's arm. It is what it is..............a cheap shot but at least it was when the ball was in play when Carter's cheap shot on Clark was not.
