I’d say the biggest issue with Johnny is that he doesn’t have something else to help him. The only other addition he has is the ability to make crawl spaces closed again, but Cook can do that again and thus it doesn’t really count. I think one ability he could have is being able to reach his arm over the benches and through cracks in the wall to grab victims that are in mid animation of using said obstacle. Considering he’s quite muscular looking, this ability looks like it would make sense.
yess! i think a great explanation for that is that johnny might've started by helping nancy (his mom and a new killer soon!) with her kills by keeping the victims easy for her to get to and help her get them if they tried to escape. at least lore wise. otherwise its just to make him better obviously
I personally think he should have a natural hemorrhage effect, like making the victims bleed more passively for a short time. (like leaving puddles of blood at full health or the victims just bleed more per hit.)
Sissy is more of a flanking character like if a slower family member is chasing someone, sissy can cut them off with her speed and get some easy hits and limit the victims escape routes
@@pretenderxxx2385you must be those victims that make too much noise to wake up grandpa early game, causing sweaty family members to trap you in basement. No? Then it's a skill issue
@@pretenderxxx2385 Yeah sure, meanwhile victims can go trough holes unlimited times and you need to be two family members to kill him, oh meanwhile there's 4 victims. Please don't comment when you don't play high level matches.
I like how because of how fresh this game is every tier list is completely different. The first one I saw had Johnny and Cook together in S but on yours there on opposite ends
Johnny is a solo character he excels when just left to do his own thing his ability is very useful for not losing people snd if you have comms with your teammates he can become a high kill character
@@schizomani4cis he? I found him to be the strongest killer when you bring his savagery and endurance up. The survivors can’t get away from me unless they have a crack in the wall or a vent to crawl through
@schizomani4c thats definitely cook, unless he has his level 3 upgrade to mark for the family he is completely selfish in his tracking and unlike Johnny he can't keep up in a chase
I’ve been playing predominantly Johnny, since I really like his swagger and voice lines, I built him to kill in 3-4 hits depending on toughness. He’s very fun, and I normally do pretty good with him his ability while not the most supportive, early game it’s fun to go downstairs and pin someone down either with LF or if I hit them enough.
Bubba is the best. If he wasnt in the game, the others would have a hard time killing all survivors. He has the fastest movement speed and the highest damage. His base stats are the best and he is the only one that can destroy pallets, doors, and crawlspaces
Hitchhiker is immediately countered with the "bomb squad" perk that lets you disarm his traps without a bone scrap, going against him i put it on and nothing is stopping me from just rushing exits. But hey victims are way too strong in this game lol
Honestly I really like hitchhiker. I run a movement and blood build so my stamina basically never goes anywhere an I can feed grandpa hella blood. Then use the attributes I got almost max endurance and my savagery is almost to Johnny's. (28/30) so in other words I can swing about almost 10 times while keeping up with you and hitting almost as hard as Johnny. And the traps? Use them as decoys. I like to set them up in front of the generator or the gate then I wait for them to show up. They go to take care of the trap I basically get a free kill every game. But this is just what I like to do I understand it don't fit everyone play style lol
@whatup8427 oh nice maybe i should try that, Hitchhiker is actually my favourite to play too I was just saying when i play victim, most of the hitchhikers arent threatening at all
Honestly having survivors swap perks to counter traps feels like a win because they're definitely alot stronger perks and getting any of those out the match benefits the other killers traps are more used to stop people mid chase for me or give me info on objectives sense you'll never be able to get to s trap before they break out
Also at max level you break traps without a bone scrap 80% faster…Bomb Squad is a crazy perk It’s op because you can just swap it out for another perk if there’s no hitchhiker
Sorry I'm late but it's awesome to see that you're enjoying Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's nice that Leatherface isn't the only shining star in this game, all the family members have their own creepy vibe and there are pros and cons to every character. Reminds me of Friday the 13th. That game will always be a gem to me, a perfect tribute to Jason Voorhees.
I main Johnny and I have plenty of fun and get many kills, maybe it's different for others but i catch so many hiding victims with his power, and his damage is crazy
My own ranking of all the 5 members: 1. Sissy (mainly do to perks she can be paired with that slows down the victims so much that u cant even move + as default she has an extreme amount of blood she can collect, so to me the lower damage output doesn't rly matter since u can just spam m1. Not only that she can literally follow the victim all around the map since she can crawl and squeeze through all the places that the victims can too) 2. Bubba (he plays a massive role to destroy rly important loops + he also has very good map traversal with his chainsaw and compared with that good stamina. He also has the potential to insta kill someone if played correct and paired with some perks) 3. Cook (his 3 locks slows done the game quite well and tbf has some decent damage output but ofc his main downside is him being slow compared to the others and his stamina isn't the best either. His ability for tracking in theory seems strong but it just depends if ur playing with teammates that communicates or not, so for me he can be a hit or miss) 4. Hitchhiker (for me I feel like hitchhiker works in some way the same has cook, since his traps usually are used to slow down the game by putting his traps next to the generator or the car battery + there's a literal perk that counters him entirely. His damage isn't great either but his stamina exactly isn't too bad! his change potential is as u said rly good tho but for me he still gets number 4) 5. Johnny (like the idea of him but he can struggle A LOT on outside areas because of the bushes and whenever your tracking someone the footprints can be sorta hard to see at least for me. Also feel like the tracks should be easier to track? because when I lost the line of sight on a victim I go back to the place where they ran away from me but there's no footprints which can make him seem a bit frustrating to play. His damage though is epic and if paired with some perks he can actually feel quite strong but again he cant rly chase that well since he rly cant go through crawl spaces and so on) SORRY JUST A LITTLE RANT. LOVED THE VID THO
made al lil mistake with cook, on a level 3 cook when he tracks someone that pings everyone in the family, you dont need communication for cook because he can just spot someone out of the blue and the rest can make there way to them. plus cook isnt the type of killer to be chasing, hes the one filling grandpa up and helping the team with his power. putting him on 3 and bubba on 2 is kinda weird. also hitchhiker is just a better version of sissy. i like the ranking tho is alr
@@jjam3121 ah right true!! the reason as to why I put bubba so high is because of his impact. there are certain places where its impossible to chase down the survivors if bubba wasn't there and u did "need" cook but overall yes cooks powers I feel like are stronger but I can see why u would put cook higher. don't rly see how hitchhiker is better compared to sissy hitchhiker doesn't have the potential to prevent victims from escaping the chase they're literally stuck getting smacked when they get hit in the open.
@@Thatcontroversialguy- fair just don't seem how he is that strong: 1. doesn't have good damage output 2. his traps are easily countered by either perks or items 3. when ur in the trap it takes 3 sec to get out 4. u don't know which specific trap that the victim ended up in i will say he is fantastic when it comes to chases and keeping victims busy but he just to me doesn't perform better than cook, bubba and sissy
@@emilwridt4029 *1.Damage output can be increased to 35-40 on Hitchiker* *2.If victims are forced to run the perk to counter it, they are giving up other very useful perks* *3.Traps at maximum level can keep you stuck much longer than you think. Probably closer to 10 seconds* *4.If you place all the traps nearby each other which is what I do, is not hard to find which one was the one that hit the victims, also at higher levels there are perks to highlight which trap was the one that went off for you and the family, the victims are highlighted as well*
100% agree. Lock down everything with hitchhiker and cook, mark everyone for your team with cook (level 3 required!!!), chase them with hitchhiker and then they run in bubbas arms (thats also how otzdarva and hens played yesterday)
Johnny is the best killer. No one else compares, except Leatherface. He's definitely not the worst family member. If he finds you you're dead. I average 2/4 kills per match, often getting 3/4 kills. I can nearly solo the whole victim team. It takes me about 4 hits to kill someone, which is super easy to get. Near instant death.
I've mainly been playing Sissy and managed to get all 4 victims even after my other family members disconnected. Maxing out Grandpa her ability to chase is incredible
@@nostalgicbird3954Damn I got a Johnny who didnt let me hide, he was always chasing me and founding me. Was so annoying! The best one so far I encounter tho
@@nostalgicbird3954in my experience Johnny players never do good against me cause I run max toughness Ana with 42 endurance I tank twice as many hits as other victims so even if a Johnny catches me with no safety around me by the time he would kill me I make it to a crawlspace or a barricade and then he is done there is nothing he can do atleast Bubba can break those barricades this is why I think Johnny is a detriment to the family team cause he is a weaker version of Bubba. Why would a team run Bubba and also a weaker Bubba?
@@luchahouseparty8501 Yeah some ana builds are unstoppable if u know how to play right and it depends whether the familys teamwork is shit in general, personally i do use johnny and use max endurance/stamina with 47 savagery and hes really good if used with right build as the stamina rarely goes out
Johnny is a very good character if you know how to play him he puts so much pressure on and works great with hitchhiker or sissy a high level Johnny if you’ve ever played one will rush down the basement and almost definitely get a early kill he’s got great stamina and with the right perks can kill the strongest of victims such as Ana his only weakness again is crawl spaces he can constantly track people and is amazing in chase
Hitchhiker is the best one because you dont depend in your team like Cook does and the infinity traps if you know how to use them. And he knows it because grandpa told him.
I, a huge fan of Drayton Sawyer, expected cook to be at the bottom due to community opinion, but I am extremely happy to see his placement. I think I agree with every ranking on this list
I do NOT recommend johnny to new players you will feel weak however, experienced players know he is OP. johnnys ability is passive where every other killers ability is aggressive & immediate. he feels weak to “run & gun” players (hitch, sissy & bubba) that want to find a victim & run them until they lose them then wait to find another. this is fun but inadequate against any SWF. you might get 50 hits a game & run each victim but it’s not useful. for experienced players johnny is unbeatable. he’s able to quickly track exit routes for footprints instead of other killers that need to run all the way to the exit gates to see if it’s been picked. johnny hunts them down so they don’t have time to heal or do objectives & that’s his strength. instead of running a victim until they find a well & wasting all that time like most other killers do. johnny silently tracks you untill you’re in a dead zone & think you’re safe, then you’re dead. that’s his strength & used correctly is a guaranteed kill every time. he’s my highest W % killer by far
Sissy should be number one. Sure on paper Cook has the strongest kit. But with SIssy it takes literally 0 skill or effort to keep up with someone in chase and to 100 to 0 someone via stun locking and poisoning them.
5th: Johnny ( The most useless character, but his power can be useful at times. ) 4th: Sissy ( Poison cloud is useful and it can buff other family members ) 3rd: Hitchhiker ( Traps are good but he has the lowest savagery ) 2nd: The Cook ( Great savagery and great ability but his running speed is pretty bad so I suggest buffing it in your attributes. ) 1st: Bubba ( We all know it, Bubba has the best savagery and running speed, and he is useful. )
Johnny is great for me because I do not like playing this game with microphones. I much rather play it in a way that feels more like an actual chase for the victims instead of being informed of what is happening everywhere else. I know to some people that is the way to play, but for me it completely kills the fun of it.
Johnny is a whole mini boss and could also be a cook as I use a perk where if he hits a victim it would show their highlight and another perk where if I get stunned the victim is outlined so he not bad since his tracking is op, used him as defense by tracking near or inside exits to see if anyone got through somewhere and they mostly end up jumping right back in basement from a well because I tracked them, he is best for exit defense and knowing where the victims are trying to exit from
The barbed wire benches are called barricades, if you’re curious. Also, I think the idea with Johnny is that if he’s tracking you, you need to keep moving and avoid hiding, whereas with cook you need to keep still to avoid being heard. Johnny is good for flushing out hiding victims then, since if he finds you that’s probably not going to end well. Also also, he’s the only optional family member with no extra setup. He just collects blood and maybe turns on car battery. He can focus solely on chases and Grandpa, and not need to go elsewhere to work on his supplies.
I like your idea with a cook and Johnny combo, losing the maneuverable skills sissy and HH have seems tough but with good coordination that would be fine
Sissy is also i believe a character with little to no set up (depending on a few things) but still johnny is the best at getting grandpa to level 1 before anyone leaves
The main reason why cook clears the other members is because if you take right path skill tree you get siphon perk and 33 attribute points (effectively 40 points) so the low base stats in endurance doesn't matter that much, he will have great stats all around and still do same blood harvesting as sissy but get wallhacks and 3 padlocks, legit broken in a 3 stack since chasing is his only weakness
Cook is by far the most important member of the team especially if they communicate, can track victims for the team giving good info and locking down important areas.
Imo Johnny is really good in solo, tho if you play as a family member you have to work with your teammates Sissy requiers great skill and good rng. She is strong, but very situational Well. I kinda agree, that the best team comp is Hitch and Cook but only if you play with friends
I find very high use with Johnny but I mainly play with a full stack so with coordination my friends cut off the victims while I trail behind them and never let them stay in one spot for too long
I feel that Hitchhiker needs to be down one spot for one important reason: the pregame lobby. Anyone who sees that there is a solo queue hiker in the lobby will immediately equip the perk thatvlets you disable his traps for free.
1. LF 2. Sissy 3. HH 4. Johnny 5. Cook LF takes spot number 1 with his sprint/high damage attack ability. Revving his chainsaw until it’s close to overheating, and just tapping on the button so it lingers around 80% allows you to sprint with Bubba for as long as you want. It’s insane. And if you have the right attributes and perks, once you hit a victim with the heavy attack, it stuns them, allowing you to hit them once more with a basic attack, and kill any victim even if they have full health. This is easily the most broken mechanic. You don’t even have to use the sprint ability to hunt down victims either. You can just use it for basic map control, and continuing to check locked gates and doors. Not to mention he can break barriers, crawl spaces and doors (doors can be used to stun family members). He’s just too good. Sissy’s poison smoke can be really op if you use it effectively. Any victim who runs through her smoke won’t be able to escape due to constantly wobbling, and sissy can take them out in like 3 hits, if you have the right perks and attributes in savagery. Throw in the fact she has great mobility and amazing blood harvesting, she’s easily top 3 at least. HH is also very good, but he doesn’t have an ability like LF and Sissy that is considered broken. You could argue being able to follow victims through any gap is op, but when I play LF, I’m breaking crawl spaces up top, so the only thing he can really follow victims through is tight spaces, which Sissy is able to as well, and with LF I can just sprint around anything in my way and still catch up. I can only see it being really affective if you follow victims into the basement, but I don’t usually see too many HH go down there. Other then that he can have great blood harvesting, paired up with his amazing mobility, he’s the most ideal family member to level up grandpa fast. Side note, the low damage can be a little annoying, cuz when I used to play him I’d be weakening a bunch of victims, just for other family members like LF to come in and steal my kill. Also his traps can often be very ineffective and easily noticed. Johnny imo is a very solid character all around, but I don’t like his tracking ability. I just feel like you have a better chance of finding a victim by running around the map, then you do by trying to find foot prints, and following them. He has good base stats and good damage, but I just don’t feel like he has a main thing he’s great at that can be taken advantage of, like with other family members above him. He’s still very good and can be used effectively, I just think there’s other family members better. I don’t like putting cook down here, because his lvl 3 hearing ability allowing other family members to see highlighted victims is another extremely great ability, but due to the fact that a family on coms can essentially communicate where people are at all times, and lvl 5 grandpa essentially does your job for you, rendering you useless, he slips down the list a little for me. Also his mobility is another thing I hate. He’s just really slow with bad stamina, and sure he has good damage, but to me that’s essentially useless if you can’t catch up to any of them before the rest of your family to even hit them. He has good blood harvesting, but sissy and hh are better family members to lvl up grandpa. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still a solid pick. I don’t think any family member is bad, I just think there’s better alternatives.
For me: 5. Johnny. Even if i like him the most, he's the worst. I love the balanced stats and tracking is fun but i can't lie, he's the worst, not bad but not best 4. Leatherface. I hate using Leatherface, he's very strong and can win the entire match in seconds but because he's very important with breaking.... Tables? That can be ucounterable, you need to play him well and it's just make him 50/50 3. Sissy. Great harvesting and chase potencial with vaulting like Hitchhiker, even more with the gas that slows down and shows to the family where Victims are. Only bad thing is damage that's even worse than Hitchhiker but you don't kill the Victims, just damage so the family would kill them easier (ofcourse, you can still kill them yourself but it just takes a long time) 2. Hitchhiker. I love Hitchhiker. I mostly use traps on the batery and gen and left the last one for an annoying loop. His endurance and ability to go through places Victims can (besides those tables) makes him best chaser but low damage kinda sucks but you don't kill the Victims, the rest of the family does 1. Cook. He is always good to have. Maybe not good in chases but the information he gives is just godly even more if you have upgrade to show who you heard for the entire family. Padlocks are good too. Connie can make matches very short so it's good to have him and LET HIM COOK
I agree with Johnny. I like playing him, but he just brings NOTHING to the table. He can track where survivors have been, and he does decent damage, but that’s it
Love playing Sissy and Bubba, with Sissy I use her to Poison bottles of health and the others objectsm I always feed my grandpa the best blood possible. Once I was left alone and so was this one survivor so I took her by the hand and guided her towards the gen and turned it off, then bought her to the exit, it was fun.
So many people simply dont know how to play the family. For some reason i get so many players who will leave an entire half of the map open when there's one victim left. Anyway, Johnny is my favorite, especially since i solo queue most of the time. While cook and hitchhiker help lock down the map, Johnny's main goal is to inflict as much damage as possible and track victims dow. To inflict more damage.
I have a few issues with cook. Firstly, he’s very heavily reliant on his other family members to hunt down and kill victims, as he’s the one providing the information. So if you jump in a solo game and play with randoms, even the best cook won’t be effective unless your other family members are good. If you jump in a game with your buddies and are on coms, having cook highlights people is nice, but not completely needed as your group can just communicate when they see a victims and where they are. Secondly, a high level grandpa will highlight victims anyways, and at lvl 5, cook is rendered completely useless as all victims will be highlighted and nowhere for them to hide. So late game cook is completely useless as he struggles to get around the map with his speed and stamina, and could actually cost the team. Thirdly, like I said, his stamina and speed is a huge issue. He has good damage, but won’t be getting many hits on victims. He has great blood harvesting, but getting around the map to collect blood bags will take way longer, when you can have a sissy or HH do it way more effectively. You could put the attributes into stamina, but then all his other categories will stay at base lvl. Fourthly, his locks are good, but when every team runs a Connie, they’ll just wait to use their ability on that, and most victim teams will focus their attention on one area to escape, so once that 1 lock is out of the way, they won’t bother going for any of the others. All in all, cook is good, but I think all the other family members are better. I find you’re better off running a family team that applies a lot of pressure and is good at feeding grandpa, such as Bubba, HH and Sissy. All three can apply pressure (Bubba with his sprint, and Sissy and HH with their travers ability). And Sissy and HH are perfect for feeding grandpa early game, while Bubba deals with the victims in the basement.
@@ocskopf Not useless, but if your family is on coms you can effectively communicate where victims are anyways. I just think there’s better family members, maybe besides Johnny.
@@canadianrage5224 I mean. As long as he can collect blood and lockdown critical entrances, his extra ult ability to see everyone moving is kinda strong.
@@ocskopf Yea no the cook is good, don’t get me wrong. The game does a great job at balancing all family members, and making them great in different ways.
Can agree, I always feel useless on Johnny other than an occasional track down and some hard hits. But, a leveled Cook highlighting people all over the place is amazing.
The sad problem with johnny is he doesn’t have another side ability like cook with his padlocks, if hes a support character why does he only have one perk?
Fr, he needs a buff imo. Not anything crazy, but maybe give him an secondary ability. Maybe make it so he can pull victims out of crawlspaces or something.
He doesn't need it. I'm a Johnny main and I think his ability on Family house is more worth than cooks locks. He can just track you if he sees an unlocked door and then you are F'd, because that map is Open af (which is Johnnys strength).
@@thehappycockatiel9568 I am too, but my point is, people think hes the weakest just because he dosen't have a secondary ability like cook when hes a support family member
@@calesayshey Johnny doesn't need a side ability. He is all about the damage. And also his tracking is better than cooks? Why? Well cook has a counter which is don't move too fast or in small bursts, while Johnny's footstep tracking can only be countered by Julie.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre Family tier List from best to worst 1. Bubba Sawyer (Leather Face) The only family member that can one shot survivor with chainsaw and destroy the unique crawl over obstacles victims use that only he can destroy, while all other family members cannot do anything about it if its there to make chases more efficient. 2. Cook: His tracking ability to hear survivors through walls is absolutely nuts and probably is the most powerful ability in the entire TCM metagame paired with the perk that allows you to share the aura of the victim spotted to the other family members is Gold. His suited more for protecting grandpa and provide blood for him as well. 3. Hitchhiker: His trap positioning in well crowded areas (Stairs, doorways to escape routes) works very well and he is the the best to pressure survivors in the heat of the chase. 4. Sissy 5. Jhonny
I'd switch Sissy and Hitchhiker around but otherwise i agree with the ranking. My family dream team is Chop top, leatherface, and Sheriff Hoyt. My guess is Chop top would play like Hitch and Sissy, and Hoyt would be slower like Johnny and Cook.
@@Boone69 Yeah it's sad that Ermey is no longer with us. If they manage to get the rights to the other movies to use in this game hopefully they can still use his likeness for Hoyt.
I was playing sissy when I got the game a few days ago and someone was giving me hella shit for using sissy. It’s funny watching this now considering cook is fucking insane and hitchhiker is also really good. Needless to say I killed that guy in the first couple mins of the match. Off topic rant… this cook I went against had over 4k score because he just sat in the main house and scanned us all game. Hopefully his ability gets balanced at some point Edit:spelling
I mainly play Bubba and I'm highly enclined to agree with most of your list but i like having sissy on my team more than hh. A cook and a hh is good but a cook and sissy is ideal.
I think a family member that’s a cop would be cool purely off of the ramifications of their ability. Like smacking someone with a baton, or tasing someone, or using handcuffs, or just outright pulling out his gun and shooting them like the Deathslinger all just sound funny to me.
I keep seeing people say Johnny is the worst but almost every game I play is either me being the MVP (playing Johnny) or the guy playing Johnny on my team is the MVP
6th video asking 👁️🗨️ Idea for dbd video: 1) What about ranking survivors' commentary, grunts, screams, etc., on how believable and realistic they sound? Like which are overdone, which are strange, which are so realistic you feel for the survivor, etc. 2) Who from the killers is the most sensible/in touch with reality/in full control of themselves. Love ya.❤
@@sinnondakotariley1579 well I disagree it’s boring and the same thing over and over literally 2 ways to escape lmao and only 1 exit u would understand after playing tcm
I actually agree that cook is the strongest character in the game however that is dependent on whether you’re in a party/solo or if you have his ability to level 3 so that highlighting an enemy shows up for the entire family. He has the best tracking in the game bar none and his blood harvesting is already solid. The way I like to build him is to try to alleviate the one weakness he has which is his ability endurance and speed. There’s a perk that increases movement speed by up to 15% whilst lowering damage by 10%. This 15% speed feels invaluable to cook whilst the damage nerf doesn’t actually feel that bad with him already having such high savagery.
Pre-Watch guess; Cook #1 for is absolutely insane “aura-reading” and how inadvertently oppressive he is with his ability to pinpoint peoples locations and guide his team to them.
I would love to agree with you on the number one spot but every cook I play has locks on random doors that hurt us more then the survivors and I get no comms or where they are
Cook deserves to be at the top he is so good First off is the fact he can nearly get grandpa to level 2 before victims even leave the basement no matter how fast they go. His padlocks are good for slowing the game down cause he can block off an entire direction it’s best to do this wherever grandpa is closest because he can collect from the blood buckets while checking to see if the locks have been broken then alert his teammates if they have all while continuing to feed grandpa. And that’s not even the topper once you get his hearing ability to level 3 his ability will reveal victims to all other family members. This is exceptionally good in the early game as bubba can apply pressure on the revealed victims as well as being overall useful at any stage during the mid to late game as well as no survivor near him can move without him finding them and that makes it very difficult to land a stab on grandpa as well who will keep revealing them more and more as he gets closer to level 5 courtesy of cook. There’s only 1 down side you need to let your teammates know not to touch the blood buckets as cook will get far more value out of it than them. Max blood harvesting cook with maxed blood banker allows cook to carry up to 180 points of blood at a time. And with the max level 3 blood runner perk cook can pull 44 blood from a single bucket getting grandpa to level 1 in just 3 collections. And it’s even better if cook gets a kill which will instantly put him at max giving grandpa almost 2 levels for a kill.
Bubba #1 Cook #2 Hitch #3 Sissy #4 Johnny #5 Haven't watched vid just posting while I wait for 👀 Ok yea so pretty much same but I put bubba at #1 just because he's required
I haven't played much family besides Cook but my list would be: 5. Johnny for the reasons you mentioned 4. Cook (debatable): Low speed and stamina. The tracking is too unreliable (you're on someone and the tiniest flick of the mouse breaks the autotracker). Plus he is too slow to act on his own info. Not sure how much stronger his T3 power to show the aura to the whole family is, that's why I say he is debatably 4th 3. Sissy (debatably) Better chaser than Cook and similar levels of blood collection. I feel like her gas isn't that good of a tool, I have yet to poison objects. 2. Hitchhiker Traps at crucial positions can be absolutely devestating (at the top of ladders and stair cases coming from the basement, behind crawlspaces or wire benches) or just at objectives as you said. He might be the best chaser in the game period. 1. Bubba This dude is power incarnate. I feel like if you master his revving you can get some pretty consistent oneshots. He starts in the basement so he is the first one to exert pressure and can potentially kill off one victim before they even leave the basement. Also he gets rid of wire benches. Though tbf I am not an incredible player, victim or family side.
Sissy is broken currently she's only supposed to poison you once upon hitting you but she poisons you with every consecutive hit. She will be getting fixed with the upcoming update.
As a Leatherface main, I disagree with you on this one. Bubba is the most important in my opinion due to his early game and chase potential, and the ability to break any obstacle. His main goal is to hold survivors in the basement for as long as possible, while also committing to victims in some cases to give your team enough time for setup. A good bubba can easily secure the win with a good early game. The only map where this strategy doesn’t quite work is the slaughterhouse, where it’s really hard to patrol all 4 basement doors. Instead, you can patrol the 3 doors next to eachother, and when finding a victim commit to the chase.
I was thinking of maybe getting into this game, could someone please tell me which family members and victims are support oriented? I like playing support.
Ana and Leland can disarm family fairly easily, saving your teammates and staying alive yourself. In family the only support i can think of is Cook LVL3. You dont hit anyone but you see everyone and tag them for others to kill
I think the amount of variety on both sides of the players in the match is what sets this game apart from DBD, I like that every Family member and Victim plays different from each other and don’t just feels like the same character but in a different skin and and one different core ability, they all feel truly unique unlike DBD, this is just my opinion, feel free to disagree
Johnny has the biggest flaw imo the skill of the player because Johnny is very good when played right but a bad Johnny is just throwing the entire game
That's a nice idea
I like that idea!!
Dope idea bro fr could hold them in place a few seconds or something while they struggle
yess! i think a great explanation for that is that johnny might've started by helping nancy (his mom and a new killer soon!) with her kills by keeping the victims easy for her to get to and help her get them if they tried to escape. at least lore wise. otherwise its just to make him better obviously
I dont like johnny but ive been destroyed by him several times. Dude is crazy strong at times

Bubba is the best. If he wasnt in the game, the others would have a hard time killing all survivors. He has the fastest movement speed and the highest damage. His base stats are the best and he is the only one that can destroy pallets, doors, and crawlspaces
If you keep his chainsaw revved he can run despite not having any stamina

Hitchhiker is immediately countered with the "bomb squad" perk that lets you disarm his traps without a bone scrap, going against him i put it on and nothing is stopping me from just rushing exits.
But hey victims are way too strong in this game lol
It’s just like Dead by daylight
@whatup8427 oh nice maybe i should try that, Hitchhiker is actually my favourite to play too
I was just saying when i play victim, most of the hitchhikers arent threatening at all
Honestly having survivors swap perks to counter traps feels like a win because they're definitely alot stronger perks and getting any of those out the match benefits the other killers traps are more used to stop people mid chase for me or give me info on objectives sense you'll never be able to get to s trap before they break out
Also at max level you break traps without a bone scrap 80% faster…Bomb Squad is a crazy perk
It’s op because you can just swap it out for another perk if there’s no hitchhiker
Sorry I'm late but it's awesome to see that you're enjoying Texas Chainsaw Massacre. "because I like ranking things" me too azhy me too
My own ranking of all the 5 members:
1. Sissy (mainly do to perks she can be paired with that slows down the victims so much that u cant even move + as default she has an extreme amount of blood she can collect, so to me the lower damage output doesn't rly matter since u can just spam m1. Not only that she can literally follow the victim all around the map since she can crawl and squeeze through all the places that the victims can too)
2. Bubba (he plays a massive role to destroy rly important loops + he also has very good map traversal with his chainsaw and compared with that good stamina. He also has the potential to insta kill someone if played correct and paired with some perks)
3. Cook (his 3 locks slows done the game quite well and tbf has some decent damage output but ofc his main downside is him being slow compared to the others and his stamina isn't the best either. His ability for tracking in theory seems strong but it just depends if ur playing with teammates that communicates or not, so for me he can be a hit or miss)
4. Hitchhiker (for me I feel like hitchhiker works in some way the same has cook, since his traps usually are used to slow down the game by putting his traps next to the generator or the car battery + there's a literal perk that counters him entirely. His damage isn't great either but his stamina exactly isn't too bad! his change potential is as u said rly good tho but for me he still gets number 4)
5. His damage though is epic and if paired with some perks he can actually feel quite strong but again he cant rly chase that well since he rly cant go through crawl spaces and so on)
SORRY JUST A LITTLE RANT.
*Hitchiker outside of top 3 is just crazy*
@@Thatcontroversialguy- fair just don't seem how he is that strong:

@@emilwridt4029
*1.Damage output can be increased to 35-40 on Hitchiker*
*2.If victims are forced to run the perk to counter it, they are giving up other very useful perks*
*3.Traps at maximum level can keep you stuck much longer than you think. Probably closer to 10 seconds*
*4.If you place all the traps nearby each other which is what I do, is not hard to find which one was the one that hit the victims, also at higher levels there are perks to highlight which trap was the one that went off for you and the family, the victims are highlighted as well*
If you pick Johnny you’re throwing the game for the rest of the family before the game even starts 😂

Johnny is literally the best killer I’ve used, I’ve killed ppl from full health in 1 encounter so many times the damage + stamina is insane with him
Finally someone understands johnnys weakness!
Can’t wait for you to rank all of the times I disappointed my family and make a whole series out of it.
I think I agree with every ranking on this list
people really think cook is one of the weaker family members?
I do NOT recommend johnny to new players you will feel weak however, experienced players know he is OP.
johnnys ability is passive where every other killers ability is aggressive & immediate. he feels weak to “run & gun” players (hitch, sissy & bubba) that want to find a victim & run them until they lose them then wait to find another. this is fun but inadequate against any SWF. you might get 50 hits a game & run each victim but it’s not useful. for experienced players johnny is unbeatable. he’s able to quickly track exit routes for footprints instead of other killers that need to run all the way to the exit gates to see if it’s been picked. johnny hunts them down so they don’t have time to heal or do objectives & that’s his strength. instead of running a victim until they find a well & wasting all that time like most other killers do. johnny silently tracks you untill you’re in a dead zone & think you’re safe, then you’re dead. that’s his strength & used correctly is a guaranteed kill every time. he’s my highest W % killer by far
love this! you should definitely do more TCM vids
Sissy should be number one. Sure on paper Cook has the strongest kit. But with SIssy it takes literally 0 skill or effort to keep up with someone in chase and to 100 to 0 someone via stun locking and poisoning them.
5th: Johnny ( The most useless character, but his power can be useful at times. )
4th: Sissy ( Poison cloud is useful and it can buff other family members )
3rd: Hitchhiker ( Traps are good but he has the lowest savagery )
2nd: The Cook ( Great savagery and great ability but his running speed is pretty bad so I suggest buffing it in your attributes. )
1st: Bubba ( We all know it, Bubba has the best savagery and running speed, and he is useful. )
Sissy has the lowest base savagery, not Hitchhiker.
Every time I play Johnny I usually get 2 or 3 kills he’s underrated

Johnny is great for me because I do not like playing this game with microphones. I much rather play it in a way that feels more like an actual chase for the victims instead of being informed of what is happening everywhere else. I know to some people that is the way to play, but for me it completely kills the fun of it.
Johnny is a whole mini boss and could also be a cook as I use a perk where if he hits a victim it would show their highlight and another perk where if I get stunned the victim is outlined so he not bad since his tracking is op, used him as defense by tracking near or inside exits to see if anyone got through somewhere and they mostly end up jumping right back in basement from a well because I tracked them, he is best for exit defense and knowing where the victims are trying to exit from
With max endurance on top of that I’d take him than the other killers
Cook can still hear you if you aren't moving tho...
Imo Johnny is really good in solo, tho if you play as a family member you have to work with your teammates
Sissy requiers great skill and good rng. She is strong, but very situational
Well. I kinda agree, that the best team comp is Hitch and Cook but only if you play with friends
I find very high use with Johnny but I mainly play with a full stack so with coordination my friends cut off the victims while I trail behind them and never let them stay in one spot for too long
That's what makes Johnny good imo. He forces the victims to keep moving. But I think he needs a secondary ability
I feel that Hitchhiker needs to be down one spot for one important reason: the pregame lobby.
Anyone who sees that there is a solo queue hiker in the lobby will immediately equip the perk thatvlets you disable his traps for free.
1. LF
2. Sissy
3. HH
4. Johnny
5. Cook
LF takes spot number 1 with his sprint/high damage attack ability.
For me:
5. Johnny. Even if i like him the most, he's the worst. I love the balanced stats and tracking is fun but i can't lie, he's the worst, not bad but not best
4. Leatherface. I hate using Leatherface, he's very strong and can win the entire match in seconds but because he's very important with breaking.... Tables? That can be ucounterable, you need to play him well and it's just make him 50/50
3. Sissy. Great harvesting and chase potencial with vaulting like Hitchhiker, even more with the gas that slows down and shows to the family where Victims are. Only bad thing is damage that's even worse than Hitchhiker but you don't kill the Victims, just damage so the family would kill them easier (ofcourse, you can still kill them yourself but it just takes a long time)
2. Hitchhiker. I love Hitchhiker. I mostly use traps on the batery and gen and left the last one for an annoying loop. His endurance and ability to go through places Victims can (besides those tables) makes him best chaser but low damage kinda sucks but you don't kill the Victims, the rest of the family does
So glad people are realizing how great Cook is.

The only family member that can one shot survivor with chainsaw and destroy the unique crawl over obstacles victims use that only he can destroy, while all other family members cannot do anything about it if its there to make chases more efficient.

6th video asking 👁️🗨️
Idea for dbd video:
1) What about ranking survivors' commentary, grunts, screams, etc., on how believable and realistic they sound? Like which are overdone, which are strange, which are so realistic you feel for the survivor, etc.
2) Who from the killers is the most sensible/in touch with reality/in full control of themselves.
Love ya.❤
Nah dbd dead
@@wondering_hand0985 Noo 😭
@@sinnondakotariley1579 yes shit is overhyped and boring af wait till this shit becomes free or on ps plus dbd will be dead the first day that happens
@@wondering_hand0985 It's a good game. It's active and prospers. I'm enjoying it even after all these years.
@@sinnondakotariley1579 well I disagree it’s boring and the same thing over and over literally 2 ways to escape lmao and only 1 exit u would understand after playing tcm
Rating cook at number 1... I am happy about this as the old man needs some appreciation
Permanent UAV with two legs
I would love to agree with you on the number one spot but every cook I play has locks on random doors that hurt us more then the survivors and I get no comms or where they are
Cook deserves to be at the top he is so good
First off is the fact he can nearly get grandpa to level 2 before victims even leave the basement no matter how fast they go.
As a pretty good victim player, Hitchhiker is the one who stops me from escaping in the games I fail.
In 3 months time: "Hey everyone! Today we are going to rate the family members based on their breathing".
@AZHYMOVS The barbed wire benches are called (time for dbd ptsd) pallets
I think the only thing people are still debating is the HH and Sissy placement. Seems like there's good argument for either to be #2
sissy deserves 1/2 spot imo, she has crazy utility and can be built into so many different playstyles
Yo something other than DBD content let’s gooooo!!
I hope they eventually add chop top,i think that would be really neat
I got a cook idea for a new fam member,
A pig breeder with a mean hog that they control like a k-9 after an escaped prisoner
Johnny Is very comms dependent. If a victim is in a big area with abuse able walls. He's straight ass. So he's S tier with people. B-c tier Alone
In my opinion:
5. Sissy
4. Cook
3. Hitchiker
2. Leatherface
1. Johhny
Bro same I just wiped out a whole team with Johnny while Bubba and Cook were dicking around lol
I main johnny and i really like him I get very high kill games
Bubba #1
Cook #2
Hitch #3
Sissy #4
Johnny #5
Haven't watched vid just posting while I wait for 👀
Ok yea so pretty much same but I put bubba at #1 just because he's required
I haven't played much family besides Cook but my list would be:
5. Johnny for the reasons you mentioned
4. Cook (debatable):
Low speed and stamina. The tracking is too unreliable (you're on someone and the tiniest flick of the mouse breaks the autotracker). Plus he is too slow to act on his own info. Not sure how much stronger his T3 power to show the aura to the whole family is, that's why I say he is debatably 4th
3. Sissy (debatably)
Better chaser than Cook and similar levels of blood collection. I feel like her gas isn't that good of a tool, I have yet to poison objects.
2. Hitchhiker
Traps at crucial positions can be absolutely devestating (at the top of ladders and stair cases coming from the basement, behind crawlspaces or wire benches) or just at objectives as you said. He might be the best chaser in the game period.
1. Bubba
This dude is power incarnate.
Is it possible to do a stun sound from worst to best?
Finally bro someone talking facts
LF HH and cook are 🐐
As a Leatherface main, I disagree with you on this one. Instead, you can patrol the 3 doors next to eachother, and when finding a victim commit to the chase.
idc what anyone says, if i don’t see Chop-Top, imma be upset
*I agree 100% on the list, there is also a big gap between 4th and 5th. The difference between Johnny and Sissy in terms of usefulness is huge*
*hitchhiker still rly sucks dude*
I was thinking of maybe getting into this game, could someone please tell me which family members and victims are support oriented? I like playing support.
Ana and Leland can disarm family fairly easily, saving your teammates and staying alive yourself.
In family the only support i can think of is Cook LVL3. You dont hit anyone but you see everyone and tag them for others to kill
Wait... COOK SPANKS PEOPLE WHEN HE KILLS YOU, WHAT?!
Best meta team would have to be cook, hitchhiker and bubba. The lockdown/stall potential is just super strong.
As a cook main I can confirm this
I think the amount of variety on both sides of the players in the match is what sets this game apart from DBD, I like that every Family member and Victim plays different from each other and don’t just feels like the same character but in a different skin and and one different core ability, they all feel truly unique unlike DBD, this is just my opinion, feel free to disagree
Wait… can you sprint with bubba with out overhead charge. If so what button for xbox
Johnny has the biggest flaw imo the skill of the player because Johnny is very good when played right but a bad Johnny is just throwing the entire game
