Gokarna Diaries - Road Trip to Gokarna, Hampi

We started from Hyderabad on 13th November 2017 to GOKARNA, a sleepy temple/Hippie town in the North west region of Karnataka, India. We took 14 hour route via mahbubnagar - raichur - sindhanur - hubbali - yellapur road, with an overnight stop at sindhanur.
On our way to hubbali from sindhanur, We made a brief stop at SUDI, a historical town with western Chalukyan temples like twin tower Shiva temple (Jodakalasa) and nagakunda (a large step well dedicated to King cobra)
Most exciting part of the ride came right after hubbali, when we entered the ghats of yellapur. Roads were in excellent condition with thick green cover all along the way. We stayed for couple of days at Namaste cafe, OM beach, it's a decent no frills place with attached sea side restaurant.
Must things to do in GOKARNA
1. Beach Trek, for beginners try OM to Kudle.
2. Mahabaleshwar Temple.
3. Eat at PAi restaurant (Only Veg, Try banana bun)
4. a stroll around the shopping centre at gokarna.
5. Try turkish coffee/chai served by Foreigners at kudle beach.
On our way to hampi, we covered an amazing trikuteshwara Temple at Gadag and glorious step well called muskina bhanvi at Lakkundi.
In our search for a better route to Hyderabad, we landed on the worst road of the whole trip near bellary. after an arduous 8hrs journey, we reached hyderabad at 6pm on 17th November.
