That statement is contradicting with Bruce Lees statement: "You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. True power is sitting back and observing everything with logic. "

    1. Meditate to have consistent flow
    2. Do this in reality and don’t think about anything
    3. Building confidence, tell yourself you are amazing, trust yourself, don’t second guess, love yourself.

All this is exactly correct..in the pass when I enter flow it happens ALWAYS . When my mind is thought less and everyone watching me are forgotten in my mind. My eyes are focus on the object or the direction. My hear is and thought are depleted for the moment.

Mike Tyson has been quoted in saying that the closer to the ring he gets the more scared he gets. He basically paralyzes his own sense of logical thinking by making himself feel so much fear of his opponent that once he is in the ring he has almost triggered a fight for life response. But it is also mixed with his ungodly training ways that he would flick a switch and all the fear would leave as soon as he faced off with his opponents. He is the greatest of all time and mastered his body and his mind.

And so I find he will often come to varying conclusions across multiple interviews discussing the same topics which often happen to be regarding his past.

the only way you can be indifferent to your thoughts is to be self aware. realize that you are not your thoughts and that you don't create your thoughts. the only thing you can do regarding your thoughts is choose what thoughts you pay attention to.
everything we do is habit, even the thoughts we pay attention to. depression, anxiety, stress, etc.
when you habitually dismiss opinions and concepts, you'll reduce thinking to making decisions.

I am an aspiring artist, but for some reason I couldnt put a pencil in my hand... I started questioning myself. Do I really want to be an artist? I'm 23. I finished college and got my license last year, but I was never truly happy of what I've accomplished. I've always liked drawing; creating a world inside my head and putting it on paper. Be a Doctor or be a graphic novelist? I chose the latter, but why can't I fill up a blank paper when I've done it many times before? This video helped me realized that it was the thinking that put me on hold, the overthinking. It made me fear the unknown and uncertainties. thank you MindSmash, for reminding me how it feels to be in the flow state.

Actually you can think in a flow state and continue being the flow if the thought is part of the flow; the key is Eminate from flow while thinking, don’t allow thought to become the root of flow-that destroys flow.

  • @death4127
    @death4127 8 ปีที่แล้ว +161

flow is general but its so many things. so many parts of phycology. egotism, love, relaxation, calm, power, aggression. Confidence is trust. trust , what's true is reality vs what you think about yourself. confidence is destroyed by fear. the only way to destroy fear is to ignore the consequences of pain , failure. because all of that doesn't matter. were all just on this speck in the universe. its futile. and that's why its all the matter. I could go on if its wanted...nice vid man

    • @death4127

The inbeauty of flow is that it isn't special and that all we can all have but what does make flow special is that only some of us show it and understand it. It's important that we not confuse flow with winning. Is flow just good head movement from a long time boxer? A great performance by an athlete isn't necessarily flow. Lando VANNATA has flow. He is immersed in this style and expresses himself . Maybe that it flow...

Goku has achieved flow state in ultra instinct: body limbs moving in a state of flow, it's as if time is ticking slower for him, a state of calm laser beam focus. Believing you are in that state already puts you in a position heading towards that state of flow. Not being like goku but rather taking the concept out of it and implementing it in your work or hobby

I think flow is more intense and rewarding when there is a true risk involved. Fighting would be one. I enter flow state by riding motorcycles on windy roads at spirited pace, where a mistake or loss of focus could end your life. It is a amazing and beautiful experience that is some what addictive. Your mind and senses actually merge into the motorcycle and you become one. I can actually feel the road surface as if I was my own feet. There is no fear and no time for thought, just a flow of muscle memory reactions that happen instantly and automatically with out having to about it.

I was able to be on a flow state 24/7 for a while while practicing what I read on Eckhart Tolle " The power of now". The presence and intensity that I had during that time was too much. It definitely doesn't help that I was also having a manic episode at the time since I have bipolarity. But I can say that it has been the most surreal and important experience of my life. I am usually an introvert, but for the time that flow state lasted I was extremely charismatic, convincing and I just felt like I could do and I could make anyone do anything. You're so present to the moment that you can almost know what people are thinking, what they want to hear etc. Its almost like having a superpower. I think that since it was so surreal and new, it was just too much to bear and it all came crashing down and I got extremely confused with reality since it just seemed like I was living in an alternate reality when the flow state was happening so I checked myself into a psychiatic hospital. When youre on that state being awake is so awesome that you don't want to sleep because you're afraid you might lose the flow, thats probably what contributed to my confusion after a couple of weeks on that state.

Even though my lisp is still there when it comes to pronouncing certain words it's nearly gone for good. I still have to focus on pronouncing, so people can understand me. Also, I used the flow technique to get a girlfriend, yes i worried about how i was going to talk to her when i first met her. Whenever i talk to her my mind enters flow and everything just revolves around her. It's perfect right now, but I still need to carry on with my progress on my lisp. Good luck in whatever you do man, thank you.

    AKA "In the Zone"
    one with universal flow :)
I used to freestyle with my friends when we were young and getting high and shit and i would bust out the sickest lyrics and rhymes i couldn't possibly do if i sat down and tried to write them down. This was a sign that the flow-state was something special and loses its power if you start thinking or trying to use its energy for personal gain instead of just going with the flow and just being in the present moment.
And indeed many times in games i enter this state i become untouchable, the energy is so extreme.. makes me so hyped i wanna scream at the top of my lungs for no reason but in a joyful state.
Conor vs Aldo, Perfect example of this.

initially I didn't understand but then it hit me, I enter a flow state whenever I play basketball, Ill often start shooting and once the ball goes in the net I feel like I can literally shoot from anywhere. I have confidence in my craft for how hard I play. Not in a game, but in practice. I play harder when I practice. When it comes gametime I just feel I can shoot from anywhere, doesn't matter whose guarding me, if they aren't athletic/tall enough to block my shot, nothing they do is going to affect me from getting that ball in the hoop. understanding this now, I wanna learn how to enter this state of mind in other aspects of life

What role would thinking play in our life if we were always in flow state 100% of the time? I don't get it. Also, we are are habits but when we create new habits that catlyst that drives us is new helpful thoughts. So, in that sense, we are our thoughts. I understand we don't want to be constantly second geussing ourselves but i don't think living life in a 100% flow state where we are totally indifferent to our thoughts is the answer either.
