Very informative lecture . Sir after watching your lecture then personally I think that In many coaching institutes they r just provide bookish and very blur knowledge which normally can't be understood . Your way of explaning the things is very clear which we can easily understand that's why I'm seeing your lectures continuously.
I'm a computer science student taking statistics I didn't like it initially, but because of your videos I have developed interest for statistics. Many thanks 🥰🥰🥰🥰
At 18:17 we have mean values of x and y both.. i mean expectation and mean same na.. in that case E(x+y)= mean(x) + mean (y) no need to calculate separately.. in this case also u will get same answer.. thanks for ur lectures

17:53 wale question me waha pr marginal density function ki jagah mariginal probability mass function hona chahiye na? as our random variable is discrete? Btw really nice explanation sir
@@Coc.clips77 Is it? But they can't be the same. If they become the same the whole statistics changes. Is there any particular situation or condition when we assume the pdf and pmf to be same?
@@TrishaKumari9 exactly, pmf and pdf is not same at all . See in pdf single point mass is zero .In the opposite ,talking abt pmf single point mass can be calculated .
Yes.... All are available, MGF, Characteristic function, Chebyshev inequality, WLLN etc.... You can find all in the playlist available in my channel. See from here Probability & Statistics: th-cam.com/play/PLO-6jspot8ALyrofp0fWp0fOb19NcFS4V.html
Sir you can be a genius because you have great knowledge but you are not a good teacher because most of my college friends are not able to get the concept taught by you. You dont know how to deliver your knowledge so that anyone can understand it . Sorry , but this is my genuine review no cap sir you dont know how to teach .
Sir you're really really an amazing teacher......your teaching method is perfect....
Glad to hear that
But jdf of 2x+y/2 is given wrong is should be x+y/21

at 17:07 can u check the table value? when x=1,y=1 then 2*1+1/21 = 3/21
Yes,... you are right, here p(x,y) is inadvertently taken from previous example... Bu, Just try to focus on the method..and learn the concept
Sir ur videos are really amazing 👏👏...tough topics can be easily understood by ur teaching.....u really helped alot for me 🤗...tq so much sir 👏👏
Many thanks for the appreciation. ... Keep watching and sharing .

I’m a masters student at ucla, I had absolutely no idea of probability until I came across your videos! Thank you so much!

Thank you sir for this amazing and lucid explanation.

I am confused in this....somwhere joint pmf is written as P(X=x intersection Y=y).........and somwhere its P(X=x , Y=y)
Wonderful lecture.
It covers everything for 2D Probability distributions.
Keep it Up Doc!

at 17:29 minutes example margine of x table is wrong can you check once
18:05 val of y should be 0,1 instead of 1,2 to get that jdf table

i was about to ask the same
Can we do same for joint probability mass function or is there another method?
17:41
Sir, I think there is small error in the distribution table.
P(x=1,y=1) should be 3/21.........and so on.
please correct me if I am wrong?
There is a typing error in function... P(x,y) = (x+y)/21... Otherwise, change the table ..no issue , just learn the concept , how to solve any problem
@@DrHarishGarg ok sir 😇
Sir
What is the difference between Marginal distribution function and Marginal probability function
sir ne ye mean waale formulae konse lecture mein padhaya tha ? plz help me

i think in the language for the 1st and 3rd question,it should be joint mass distribution and not joint density distribution
No difference between mass or density , you may call either joint mass or density....
@@DrHarishGarg but mass suggests that f(x) is the probability at x while density suggests that Integral f(x).dx is the probability
Exactly @@vaibhavpratapsingh9956

I am confused in this....somwhere joint pmf is written as P(X=x intersection Y=y).........and somwhere its P(X=x , Y=y). Please help
Both are the same, the intersection symbol and the comma ',' both represent the same thing: simultaneous events.
@DrHarishGarg many thanks sir, I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you very much
Well explained :)))
Thanks for watching
Thank uuuu sir❤❤❤
17:27
The joint density table is wrong sir
At 16th minute, typing error is there. It's just x+y
Example (2x+y)/21 find mean(x)......
How you construct the table of x,y ??
Put vale p(1,1)=3/21 ??? But your answer 2/21 ?? I can't understand
I think... Its a typing error... Actually it is p(x,y)=(x+y)/21... As same as previous example
Ok thanks
Sir Is there any videos on correlation and MGF ( example and concepts)??
because i need it..
